SSS Class Awakening: Start With A God-Level Choice System-Chapter 158: Style 2: Exile From My Realm!
The group soon arrived at Edenbridge High’s dueling area, a place whose unassuming exterior belied the vast expanse within.
From the outside, it resembled nothing more than a reinforced stone pavilion, but the moment they stepped through its shimmering gateway, the world expanded into a boundless arena that defied spatial logic.
The interior stretched endlessly like an open field, the flat ground gleaming faintly as if woven with runes hidden beneath the soil. It was not mere earth and stone but an alchemical foundation layered with countless wards, designed to withstand the might of even SSS-rank Awakeners. A blow that could level mountains and sink continents outside would leave nothing more than a ripple here.
Around them, invisible barriers formed concentric domes, each layer capable of absorbing devastation that could tear apart worlds. The air itself carried a subtle density, suppressing stray shockwaves and ensuring no force could leak beyond the arena’s borders.
Though the dueling area could conjure any environment, such as forests, deserts, oceans, or even volcanic hellscapes, Elyndra had set the field to neutral terrain. A flat ground stretched infinitely in every direction, devoid of obstacles, ensuring no advantage for either side.
Here, there would be no terrain to hide behind and no distractions to exploit. Only skill, willpower, and raw power would decide the outcome.
Ainsworth tilted his head back slightly, smirking as the vast expanse unfolded before him. "Now this," he murmured, "is a proper stage."
Elyndra’s lips curved faintly. "You sound like an actor about to debut."
"Then you’d better play the audience well," Ainsworth replied, rolling his shoulders as faint arcs of aura and mana traced his arms.
"I don’t clap for mediocrity," she said coolly. "Show me something worth applauding."
As soon as Elyndra said so, a golden spectral crown materialized above her as she used her Crown of Absolute Dominion (SSS) skill. This time, she didn’t materialize her golden throne as she knew that if she treated Ainsworth lightly, it would only cause her defeat to be more devastating.
Seeing Elyndra releasing her Ruler’s Aura wantonly, with her even expanding an Absolute Dominion Zone, Ainsworth didn’t attack her yet and gave her time to prepare.
Waving her hand to her right side, Elyndra created a Dimensional Gate leading to the Shattered Throne World, allowing her to gain a connection with the Shattered Throne World, as well as its adjacent Demon World and Magical Spirit World.
Ainsworth noticed that as soon as Elyndra summoned the Dimensional Gate, she had become stronger, making him wonder, ’Is that the work of her Rulership Energy stat attribute? It was previously at F-grade, but now, it has reached a stable S+.’
’It seems that Elyndra and her team have spent more time in the Otherworld compared to Rian, Dante, and me. From what I can detect, the world Elyndra had acquired possesses a higher world power level limit than my Zombie Apocalypse World.’
’Well, it doesn’t matter much since I only treat the Zombie Apocalypse World as my evacuation area and the base of my Church of Evolution, so I don’t need it to be that strong. Unless it’s a world at SSS-rank, even an SS-rank world wouldn’t be of much use to me.’
Unlike Elyndra, he didn’t possess any special stat attribute that scaled with a certain aspect, so he didn’t have a strict requirement for the world he owned. Nevertheless, it did interest him and made him wonder if her Rulership Energy stat attribute was truly limitless and could scale even above her SSS-rank Tyrannical Ruler’s class rank or not.
Seeing that Elyndra no longer made any preparations and seemed to be waiting to let him make the first move, Ainsworth didn’t refuse as he thought, ’I still haven’t completed a certain choice option yet, which had required me to give the SSS-rank Class Rank Upgrade Crystal to Rian and offer the SS-rank Random Otherworld-Based Sub-Class Card to Elyndra.’
’I have already completed the former, which had allowed Rian to upgrade his SS-rank Hero of Light class to SSS-rank Radiant Hero King class. On the other hand, I still haven’t given the SS-rank Random Otherworld-Based Sub-Class Card to Elyndra.’
’Although I already received the choice rewards for those beforehand, the system will undoubtedly take back the rewards if I fail to complete it.’
’Well, I’m not in a hurry since I can do it after sparring with Elyndra. I’m also curious how powerful Elyndra has become and what she is capable of, as I’m still interested in recruiting her and her team for the next Otherworld Mission.’
Ainsworth had received the SSS-rank Grand Archivist sub-class and upgraded his S-rank Evolver sub-class to SSS-rank Virus Evolution Sovereign due to that certain choice option.
So if he chose to renege on it, he’d lose those two powerful sub-classes, which he didn’t want to, as the SSS-rank Grand Archivist sub-class was far better than a random SS-rank sub-class.
’I have so many abilities and superpowers that it becomes a happy dilemma. Well, for starters, I can go all out and intimidate Elyndra with what I’m fully capable of, but without severely injuring her... so using the assassin skill set centered around my God-Level Assassin talent should suffice.’
’At least it can let her know that I can assassinate her sisters and allow her to win the throne succession trial by default immediately. That can be used as a bargaining chip and a token of sincerity if I were to confess to her and make her my girlfriend later on.’
’Compared to bouquets of flowers and boxes of chocolates, letting her win the Valford Empire’s throne succession trial should move her more.’
As Ainsworth had realized that he was the only Arthurford left on Earth since his sister had disappeared for who knows where, he knew that he had to man up, get a wife, and prevent the Arthurford family from ending with him.
Of course, he still wasn’t interested in starting a harem as it didn’t conform to his identity as a "pure love warrior". Moreover, it’s not like his Arthurford family had a specific bloodline ability that had to be preserved, so it was merely just for the sake of continuing the family line, so that his family’s Arthurford surname wouldn’t go extinct.
Since it was his past life’s regret of not being able to be with Elyndra, he could just kill two birds with one stone and start a family with her.
But for now, he still hadn’t confessed yet, so that plan could be for later.
Knowing that Elyndra wasn’t interested in those who were weaker and less talented than her, Ainsworth decided to let her know his full power so that she’d not reject him when he confessed his love for her later on!
It might seem to have taken long, but it’s only been a few seconds since their last dialogue. Since Elyndra had allowed him to make the first move, he didn’t refuse as he used his assassin skill combo alongside his God-Level Assassin talent, disappearing from Elyndra’s sight and perception, much to her surprise.
After he had obtained the Skill Grade Synchronizer before as a choice reward, his skills had gone a qualitative leap as they all became SSS-grade, such as his Unremarkable Presence (SS) and Flawless Disguise (SS), all being upgraded to SSS-rank skills.
Using countless assassin-based superpowers like Presence Concealment, Invisibility, Heat Hiding, etc, Ainsworth then used Freedom of Movement (SSS) to appear behind Elyndra.
When he did, he was surprised to notice Elyndra suddenly jumping away from her previous location, so he couldn’t even put his kitchen knife near her neck and brag about catching her off-guard.
As soon as Elyndra jumped into the sky, she tightly gripped Regal Severance and coated it with Tyrannical energy. She then imbued it with her mana, aura, and Rulership Energy as she performed a sweeping slash while using Imperial Execution (SSS):
"Valtoria Imperial Sword Art, Style 2: Exile From My Realm!"
The instant Elyndra swung Regal Severance, the world itself seemed to recognize her decree.
Her blade never touched flesh nor stone, yet the heavens quaked as an unseen wave erupted outward, centered on her very being.
A violent ripple of dominion swept through the air, an intangible command made manifest. The wave was not sharp like steel, but absolute like law. Anything caught within its radius trembled, as if the fabric of reality had declared:
You do not belong here. Begone
The ground split in concentric fractures, the air screamed as pressure collapsed upon itself, and faint distortions appeared where the repulsive force brushed against existence. Shadows, echoes, and afterimages were obliterated outright, erased from her presence.
But when the storm of banishment reached where Ainsworth had stood, nothing was there.
A faint shimmer in space rippled a heartbeat later. For the briefest moment, it was as if a curtain had been drawn aside before folding back into nothingness. Elyndra’s attack struck only air.
Hidden away, Ainsworth stood half-phased in a parallel dimension, his form blurred between presence and absence. Through the veil, he observed her technique’s devastation without being touched by it.
He had not only slipped into an alternate spatial layer with Freedom of Movement (SSS) but also activated Spectral Horizon (SSS), a spatial-perception superpower that allowed him to project awareness into the real world while remaining untouchable within his hidden refuge.
Like a phantom lurking between worlds, he smirked, watching her imperial decree scatter everything but him.
’I have to admit, she’s truly powerful. That attack alone could easily send Monster Lord Skarnax flying and even allow her the opportunity to defeat him.’
