SSS Hypnosis: I Made the Heroines Beg for Forgiveness-Chapter 45: Seraphim (Bonus - )
Benedict launched himself forward again, throwing another punch as he leapt into the air, stepping on blue bubbles.
Charlotte, now stronger than before, summoned two glass panels, using them to catch and focus sunlight into a laser aimed directly at Benedict’s body.
Splat!
Benedict let the laser pierce him. If it weren’t for his Hypnosis, he might have fallen and been writhing in pain right now.
Fortunately, his Hypnosis made him completely immune to pain and fatigue.
The laser wound was instantly healed by the bubbles.
Bam!
Benedict’s left-hand punch, delivered with his skeletal arm, was blocked by a pane of glass.
Charlotte, having successfully blocked, immediately swung her scythe from the right, aiming for Benedict’s head.
Benedict raised his right hand to block. The scythe buried itself deep into his fingers, and blood gushed from them.
Using the fact that the scythe was stuck in his fingers, Benedict drove his skeletal hand forward again, smashing it into Charlotte’s face. She was knocked back in midair, releasing the scythe still lodged in Benedict’s fingers.
Benedict calmly pulled the scythe free, his expression flat.
(Critical Damage! You have taken a massive 150 damage! Please be careful!)
(HP: 250/250 → 100/250)
Benedict glanced around. The bubbles quickly entered his wounds again, healing him at once.
(You have been healed for 50!)
(HP: 100/250 → 150/250)
Benedict frowned, he hadn’t expected the bubbles not to heal him back to max HP.
He looked toward the white-haired woman, who instantly understood what he wanted to ask just from his expression.
"Sorry! Be careful! I can only heal a maximum of 50 HP every 10 seconds!" the woman shouted from the tower.
Benedict let out a nervous chuckle, realizing he’d wrongly assumed the blue bubbles would keep restoring him to full health indefinitely.
"Why didn’t you say that earlier! Damn it!" Benedict shouted, slightly annoyed, though he knew it was really his own fault for being reckless.
He refocused on the battle—only to be immediately met by Charlotte, flying straight at him.
Shit!
Benedict leapt backward, using a bubble in the air as a stepping stone.
Slash!
He narrowly avoided the strike, Charlotte’s blade cutting only through the blue bubble he’d just stood on.
Now airborne, Benedict used gravity to dive straight down, aiming a punch from above at Charlotte.
Charlotte looked up, seeing Benedict hurtling toward her with terrifying determination, his body blocking the sunlight.
With her sunlight cut off, Charlotte could no longer create the glass needed to form a laser that could pierce Benedict’s skin again.
Realizing this, she quickly formed a thick pane of glass above her as a shield.
Benedict saw it and instantly activated his skill.
(B-Tier Coin Flip Activated!)
"ARGHHH!" With one powerful swing, Benedict struck the glass barrier.
Crack!
(Coin Flip Result: Heads! Damage doubled!)
CRACK!
The shield shattered, revealing Charlotte’s stunned expression as she witnessed Benedict’s raw strength.
His punch had lost some of its force after being absorbed by the glass, but without hesitation, Benedict raised his leg and kicked straight down onto Charlotte’s head.
Charlotte couldn’t dodge in time and was sent plummeting toward the ground.
BOOM!
Benedict watched her fall, then let himself drop as well.
Grinning, he prepared his skeletal hand again for another strike.
Charlotte lay on the ground, slightly dazed, dust swirling around her. Just as she tried to rise, the dust before her suddenly cleared.
She looked up, Benedict was descending from the sky with a crazed grin, fist clenched tight.
BAMMM!
His skeletal fist smashed directly into Charlotte’s cheek, sending her flying into the ground once more.
Benedict exhaled heavily, brushing away the dust caused by his blow.
Coughing lightly, he stood and looked at the aftermath of his strike. At the center of a massive crater lay Charlotte, her scythe beside her.
Her head was gone, completely severed. Leaving only a neck that didn’t bleed, but spilled shards of glass.
Suddenly, her headless body began to convulse. In the distance, dozens of Charlotte’s clones fighting the Academy students exploded into shards.
Benedict grew more confused. Blue bubbles still orbited him like satellites, his HP slowly being restored by the white-haired woman.
He then noticed a massive tornado of glass shards approaching from afar, homing in on Charlotte’s headless body.
He jumped back, letting the glass tornado swirl around her.
In seconds, the thousands of shards poured into Charlotte’s body through her chest.
"The fuck...?" Benedict muttered, now on high alert as Charlotte destroyed her own clones. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
In the distance, the Academy students were cheering in celebration of their apparent victory, unaware that the real Charlotte was still alive, and perhaps about to transform into something far worse.
Benedict turned, cupped his hands to his mouth, took a deep breath, and yelled.
"EVERYONE! CHAR—"
Before he could finish, he felt something behind him.
He spun quickly, trying to dodge, but too late.
Splat!
A spear pierced his right shoulder, and he was dragged into the air by Charlotte, who had suddenly risen again.
"Khhhkkk!" Benedict groaned, shocked by her sudden revival.
He grabbed the weapon impaling him—a spear of glass—and crushed it, falling toward the ground.
A bubble caught him mid-fall, letting him rest on it as he pulled the broken spear from his body.
(You have taken 50 damage!)
(HP: 250/250 → 200/250)
Benedict looked up at the sky. The sunlight made it difficult to see Charlotte clearly.
He narrowed his eyes, and what he saw shocked him.
This was not the same Charlotte from before, with her three wings on each side, fused horns, and massive scythe.
Now, she looked far more terrifying.
Her entire body was covered in glass wings. The black hair and black outfit were gone.
She had six wings. Two covering her head, two covering her legs, and two for flight.
Her horns were no longer fused. In fact, she had no horns at all. Instead, a glass halo floated above her head.
She no longer carried just one weapon. Six arms now grew from her body, three on each side. Two were human flesh, the other four made of glass.
Each hand held a different weapon: a spear, a sword, a scythe, a shield, a massive warhammer, and a huge battle axe.
She looked like a seraphim.
"...Am I fighting some kind of Souls-game boss right now, huh?"
