Chapter 68: New Looks

Kaela didn’t need to come to invite young master Leon for dinner as any normal maid could do that job, but after the lunch, the time she had spent together with Lady Seraphine, she was way too cheerful. She was even giggling like a fool from time to time, saying young master Leon’s name, saying ’my Leon loves me’, ’my dear Leon loves me’, ’my cute disciple loves me’.

Even though she was acting like a little girl, the fact remained that she was much happier, so Kaela had to thank young master Leon for that.

If she hadn’t known her for years, she would have thought she had fallen in love with young master Leon, but she denied the idea. She might be crazy sometimes, but she won’t go that far when she calls him family. He was too young, despite his appearance.

But when he opened the door, there was a handsome man with long white hair, mystical eyes, standing naked in front of her, only with a towel.

A few seconds of looking at the man was enough for her to tell that it was the mysterious young master Leon.

Only the word mysterious could define the changes in him for her now, as there wasn’t even a class awakening ceremony to blame for his growth now.

But what made her blush was not the fact that he was standing with only a towel in front of her, looking majestic, but the fact of the big, bold outline on his towel he was wearing.

It had shocked her.

She didn’t wait for an order and said it herself.

"Young master Leon, you just wait here. I will prepare clothes for you in just five minutes."

"But wait, Kaela, you don’t know what size would fit me. Let me come back in a minute." He was about to close the door to take his measurements, but her confident voice sounded before it could happen.

"Young master Leon, I have taken care of clothes for my lady for years," she continued, her tone a bit annoyed. "I had seen enough of you, young master, to bring the clothes that would fit you perfectly. You just trust me and wait inside your room."

Leon heard her confident voice and decided to go back inside his room, closing the door and waiting for her to bring the clothes for him to wear. He had detected the bit of annoyance in her voice for some reason that he couldn’t guess, so he ignored it.

The reason Kaela was annoyed was because of the sudden sight she had acted in such a way that a knight such as herself shouldn’t act in front of her master. As a person who aspired to be a perfect knight, that was unacceptable.

Knock Knock

Another knock came right when the clock ticked five whole minutes.

He opened the door and saw Kaela, the short black-haired woman with black eyes, standing with folded clothes.

He took the clothes from her hand and shut the door, not before showing her his gratitude through simple words.

"Thank you, Kaela, you are a lifesaver."

Kaela didn’t understand why he was saying she had saved his life, which wasn’t true, but it seemed he meant to show appreciation. It made her feel great as her commander wouldn’t praise someone; only when she found something to be exceptional, she would shower her praise, which suited her role as commander.

She had been praised only a few times.

’But it feels good to be appreciated for simple things.’

He had gotten used to the fancy clothes he had to wear here, the shirt. Pants were similar to the pants on earth, but with only minor details, but the shirts they gave him a pure aristocratic feel.

He wore the high-collared white brocade shirt, its silky fabric shimmering faintly with intricate woven patterns. The sleeves were wide and flowing, cinched tightly at the wrists with buttoned cuffs, giving him an air of noble elegance.

Paired with it were sleek, black satin trousers—fitted and glossy—emphasizing his tall, statuesque frame. The entire outfit clung to him with a quiet grace, regal yet untouched by excess.

He looked at himself in the mirror. Despite the different styles, these clothes slap on him.

He walked out the door now. Kaela scanned his figure and checked that the clothes fit him perfectly. She was satisfied, but there was another thought in her mind, seeing how he looked.

’Young master Leon looked more noble than nobles.’

She believed even their crown prince would fade in his presence. She wasn’t the one to exaggerate, as that’s what she believed.

Along the way to the dining hall, she didn’t forget to thank him for whatever he had done to make her lady so happy, but she knew he would have been more truthful to her. It did make her curious about young master Leon, as he looked like a man now. She had seen him just six hours ago, but now he had grown so much.

But she was not the one to bring her nose to her master’s business, so she followed him to the entrance of the dining hall and waited outside.

___

Leon entered the dining hall. He noticed his master’s elbow resting on the table, her face slumped on both hands, her cheek squished by her hand, making her look adorable.

Then she noticed their eyes met. There was a hint of surprise in her eyes, not the shock he would get.

She didn’t wait for him to reach his seat, and he could see her running toward him, while a smile spread on her face, her hands spread out. She looked gorgeous, welcoming him in such a way.

Leon didn’t shy away and opened his arms wide. Only a second after, her soft body hit him, and she felt her arms around his back. He also wrapped his arms around her body, which seemed much smaller now compared to before.

Both embraced each other in silence. It wasn’t quiet silence but a silence filled with their bond, love, and understanding.

Minutes passed, but no one cared. They don’t know when they separated from each other, and when they did, Seraphine’s voice broke the loving silence.
