SSS Ranked Transmigration: Taming Beauties and The Beasts!-Chapter 178: Thunderbird, High-level Conqueror Rank Beast
Cain chuckled, shaking his head as he felt helpless with Fenix's habit of liking to play around. "Let's keep moving. We've got a crystal mine to find."
As Nix soared through the sky once more, Fenix glanced back at the remains of the griffin, a satisfied grin on his face.
The fight had been a good warm-up, but he knew there were bigger challenges ahead. And he was more than ready for them.

Fenix's hunch was right because not even a minute after they departed from the place where Fenix had killed the griffin, he noticed that another bird was coming toward their direction at a faster speed than the previous griffin.
Sigh!
'It seems that this trip isn't going to be that peaceful,' Cain sighed, thinking to himself as he hadn't expected another beast to show up immediately after Fenix killed the griffin.
"Don't play too much and save your energy," Cain said, waving his hand dismissively.
Fenix clicked his tongue in response as he watched the approaching bird streaking through the sky like a bolt of living lightning.
The incoming Thunderbird was a huge beast with storm-forged wings, radiating an overwhelming presence. Its deep-blue feathers shimmered with electricity, and every flap of its wings sent shockwaves rippling through the clouds. Thunder rumbled in the distance, announcing its arrival.
Fenix smirked, his excitement building up. He stepped off Nix's back once more, effortlessly floating midair.
A deep breath later, he extended his arms, and two blazing wings erupted from his back, they were simpler and smaller than those granted by Infernal Ascendance, but more than enough for combat maneuvering.
The Thunderbird screeched, arcs of lightning crackling around its form. Without hesitation, it dove at Fenix at blinding speed, its talons glowing with deadly electrical energy.
BOOM!
Fenix barely had time to react as the Thunderbird's attack came down like a thunderclap.
He twisted his body midair, avoiding the full brunt of the strike, but the sheer force still sent him spiraling backward. Sparks danced along his arm where the Thunderbird's talons had barely grazed him.
"Fast." Fenix murmured as he raised an eyebrow.
The Thunderbird flapped its wings furiously, unleashing its skill, [Tempest Surge], conjuring a whirlwind infused with lightning. The sky itself seemed to rage as bolts of energy intertwined with the howling storm, racing toward Fenix.
Fenix countered with [Ashstorm Surge] skill. A vortex of embers and swirling ash erupted around him, colliding with the electric tempest in an explosive display of fire and lightning. The two forces battled for dominance, sending shockwaves through the air.
Fenix shot forward, his body a blur as he activated [Ember Veins] skill, enhancing his speed.
In a blink, he was upon the Thunderbird, slashing downward with [Burning Slash] skill.
His flaming blade carved through the air, but the Thunderbird reacted with astonishing agility, dodging with a sudden burst of speed from its [Storm Blink] skill, a skill that allowed it to teleport short distances within the storm.
Fenix's eyes narrowed. 'This is quite Annoying.'
Before he could readjust, the Thunderbird unleashed [Skybreaker Lance] skill, condensing raw lightning into a piercing spear of energy that shot toward him like a divine judgment.
Fenix barely managed to cross his arms in defense as the lightning spear crashed into him.
BOOM!
The impact sent him flying, his body skidding through the sky, flames bursting around him to mitigate the damage. Smoke curled from his charred forearms, but his expression remained defiant.
"You're not bad," Fenix admitted, rolling his shoulders.
The Thunderbird screeched triumphantly, its form crackling with even greater electricity. Then, it vanished in a flash of light as it used its [Storm Blink] skill again.
Fenix had less than a second to react as the Thunderbird reappeared behind him, its talons wreathed in electricity.
He twisted midair, summoning another [Burning Slash] skill, clashing directly against the Thunderbird's [Thunderclaw Rend] skill.
CRACKLE!
BOOM!
A massive explosion followed as fire met lightning, sending both combatants hurtling backward.
Fenix's wings flickered as he regained control, his eyes gleaming. Even though the bird was slightly burned, it was still ready to charge once again.
"Tch… You're strong, but let's stop playing around."
Fenix's body suddenly erupted in a torrent of heat. The sky turned an ominous shade of orange-red as a suffocating wave of infernal energy burst forth.
His body ignited, and massive, radiant flames surged around him. His simple wings expanded into grand, majestic infernal wings, stretching across the sky like the burning banners of a god.
The Thunderbird screeched, sensing the drastic shift in power. Fear flickered in its electric-blue eyes as it instinctively beat its wings, trying to escape. But Fenix was faster now, much faster.
Before the Thunderbird could react, Fenix blurred out of sight. A split second later, he was directly in front of the beast, his hand wreathed in flame as he used [Burning Slash] skill but this time, it was infused with the full might of Infernal Ascendance.
The slash connected. A devastating arc of fire carved into the Thunderbird's chest, searing through its defenses as though they were paper. The beast howled in agony, its feathers catching fire, the smell of scorched flesh filling the air.
But Fenix wasn't done.
He grinned savagely and raised both hands, summoning a torrent of flames in the shape of a massive blade.
With a single downward swing, a tidal wave of hellish fire consumed the Thunderbird. The sheer intensity of the flames evaporated the moisture in the air, causing the clouds to disperse. The sky above them became a sea of raging flames.
The Thunderbird's cries of pain were short-lived. When the firestorm subsided, all that remained was a burned corpse plummeting from the sky, reduced to mere embers before it even hit the ground.
Fenix exhaled, letting the power of Infernal Ascendance fade. His flaming wings dissipated, leaving only his satisfied grin behind.
He retrieved the Thunderbird's beast core from the falling remains before returning to Nix's back, his excitement barely contained as he felt satisfied with the fights.
"Just end it quickly next time." Cain chuckled as he shook his head.
