SSS-Tier Extraction: From Outcast to Overgod!-Chapter 76: Lord of Gamma Sector
Chapter 76: Lord of Gamma Sector
The silence in the wrecked extraction chamber was absolute. The only sound was the soft, victorious hum of the three artifacts on the platform.
Ryan took a deep breath, the air tasting of ozone and victory. He felt a wave of exhaustion so heavy it was a physical weight, but beneath it was the powerful, thrilling buzz of having survived the impossible.
A series of chimes from his god Interface announced his rewards.
[You have gained +5 Influence!]
[A new item has been added to your inventory: Vassalage Contract (Iron Wolves)]
His Influence score was now a staggering 32. He was becoming a very important person in the eyes of the god Warden.
The new Vassalage Contract appeared next to the one for the Crimson Banner. He now had two of the Sector’s strongest factions working for him. It was a strange thought.
A few weeks ago, he was just a guy in a pod trying not to get eaten by angry space lizards. Now, he was a warlord with his own vassals. Life came at you fast in the god Verse.
He was also incredibly close to leveling up again. The Golems and the Iron Wolves had given him a massive amount of god Points. He was on the very edge of reaching Level 10.
He looked over at the crumpled form of Ilsa Varkov. She was stirring, groaning in pain. Her heavy armor was ruined, but she was alive. Before her essence completely faded for her respawn, Ryan walked over.
He wasn’t going to let a good opportunity go to waste. He knelt and gently picked up a small, metal insignia that had broken off her armor, a pin shaped like a wolf’s head, her commander’s sigil. He activated his extraction system.
[Extraction Complete: You have gained B-Tier Talent: Siege Tactics.]
[This passive skill allows you to instinctively identify structural weaknesses in enemy fortifications and defenses.]
Ryan blinked. That was an incredibly useful skill. He could now look at a fortress wall or an enemy’s shield and his mind would automatically highlight the weakest spots. It was like having a cheat sheet for taking things apart.
A brilliant white light enveloped him and his team. The familiar, dizzying feeling of teleportation washed over them, and a moment later, they were back in the central plaza of Outpost #7.
If the celebration after beating the Crimson Banner was a party, this was a full-blown festival.
The entire Outpost, and what seemed like half the population of the allied neutral Outposts, was there. The roar of the crowd was so loud it felt like it could shake the Labyrinth to its foundations.
Someone had figured out how to make confetti, and it was raining down in shimmering blue and silver streams.
Ace Striker was on a makeshift stage, directing the chaos like a crazed orchestra conductor. "HE HAS DONE IT AGAIN! OUR GLORIOUS SECTOR LORD HAS TAMED THE SAVAGE WOLVES! HE TURNED THEIR OWN STRENGTH AGAINST THEM! A TALE FOR THE AGES! LET THE SONGS BE SUNG!"
Chris "Boulder" Magnus, despite his injuries, was hoisted onto the shoulders of several cheering rookies. He held his battered shield up like a trophy. "WE SHOWED ’EM!" he roared happily. "WE SHOWED ’EM ALL!"
Ryan, for his part, managed to slip away from the main crowd. The cheering was nice, but he was a man of action, and he had work to do. He now had two powerful, angry, and very different vassals to manage. It was time to put them to good use.
He sat down at a terminal linked to the Weaver and began to issue his new Sector-wide directives. His new title, Sector Lord, felt less like a stuffy, official name and more like a job description.
His first order went to the Iron Wolves. He knew they were all about brute strength and smashing things. So, he gave them something to smash.
[SECTOR DIRECTIVE 002]
[To: Iron Wolves, Outpost #21]
[From: Office of the Sector Lord]
[Subject: Aggressive Threat Neutralization]
[Your Outpost is hereby ordered to act as the Sector’s heavy assault force. Your new mission is to hunt down and destroy the large-scale monster nests and rogue Anomaly threats that plague our outer territories. You will be the hammer that crushes our enemies. Bring back trophies. The bigger, the better.]
It was the perfect job for them. It let them fight, it let them be aggressive, and it channeled their destructive energy into something that helped everyone.
Next, he established a proper chain of command for the whole Sector.
He created the "Sector Defense Force." It would be an elite team made up of the best volunteers from Outpost #7, the disciplined scouts of the Crimson Banner, and the heavy hitters of the Iron Wolves. freewebnσvel.cøm
And he put Scarlett in charge of it all. Her quiet, no-nonsense leadership and deadly skill made her the perfect choice. Their first job was to go to those dangerous Precursor Relic Sites the Warden had told him about, secure them, and see what treasures they held.
Then, he created the "Sector Research Initiative." This was his team of brains. He officially put Emma in charge of it. To everyone’s surprise, he also extended a formal invitation to Zara Khan, the leader of Outpost #3. Despite their earlier rivalry, Zara was one of the smartest people in the Sector when it came to technology.
She respected Ryan’s power and his clever strategies. After a short, formal negotiation, she agreed to join, bringing all of her Outpost’s resources and knowledge with her. Their new lab became a hub of amazing discoveries.
Chris "Boulder" Magnus, after he had recovered from his injuries, was officially promoted. He became the "Warden of Outpost #7," in charge of internal security and the training of all new arrivals.
He took the job very seriously, and the rookies both feared and adored him. Jennifer "Quake" Lee, with her incredible senses, became his second-in-command, the perfect spy-master for his security force.
Sector Gamma was no longer just a collection of scared, competing tribes. Under Ryan’s leadership, it had become a real, functioning society. It had a military, a science department, and a police force. It was organized. It was strong.
And at the head of it all was Ryan Stone. He was no longer just a player. He was a king. The undisputed Lord of Sector Gamma. The other Outposts, seeing the strength and prosperity he had created, no longer dared to challenge him.
They sent diplomats, not warriors. They asked for alliances, not fights.
Sector Gamma, for the first time, was at peace. A peace that had been won with blood, sweat, and a whole lot of clever, crazy plans.
Ryan stood on the balcony of the main command center, looking out over his thriving, bustling Outpost. It was a good feeling. But as he looked up at the endless, dark sky of the god Verse, he knew, deep down, that this was just the beginning.
The universe was a very big place, and peace was always temporary.
