Standing Next To You-Chapter 166: Twisted
Chapter 166: Twisted
Richard contacted Da Li, but the other party just said everything was fine before ending the call abruptly. He called the people he sent to help Da Li, but according to them, after Da Li called them on the first day, he did not ask for help anymore.
"I’ll go to school tomorrow," Richard promised.
"You have to do something by tomorrow. If you leave without doing anything, I will be angry at you for the rest of our lives!"
....
As Richard promised, he attended school the next day.
He had disappeared after the ’soup incident’ when he was at the peak of gaining everyone’s attention. But because there was a big drama after that, his disappearance only caused a bit of wondering but wasn’t talked about. After all, Sophia was there to fill his gap.
However, when he showed his face at school, the forgotten incident was brought to the surface again. Someone posted his picture on the school forum, and he became the topic that morning.
When Richard arrived at the classroom, Bei Sangyun and Fei Chuan had already arrived. The two in the corner were ’sharing’ breakfast. While Sophia, who was seated in his seat, was glaring daggers at Bei Sangyun. Her sour face could make one feel the jealousy all the way here. On the other hand, Lin Sunji who was beside Sophia seemed to be lost in thought.
No wonder his sister was frustrated and angry every time she went home; she was forced to watch the person she hated flirting with the person she liked, and she couldn’t do anything about it.
Richard walked towards them, his sight never leaving Bei Sangyun’s face. The last time he saw her, her beautiful face was a bit thin with slightly dark circles under her eyes. But despite her thinness, Bei Sangyun was still as charming as ever.
However, compared to the last time he had seen her, Bei Sangyun had put on a bit of weight. Her complexion was bright, and her eyes were crystal clear. She appeared more beautiful, and her charisma was exuding better than before.
Richard’s heart thumped fast again. Seeing Bei Sangyun really tempted him. It was a shame he was about to leave. If he could, he wanted to bring her along and tie her to himself. He hadn’t had much fun with her; it was a pity that it was already ending.
That sudden thought made Richard pause.
He realized he liked Bei Sangyun more than his other toys. This realization made him want her more. He wanted to own her.
Bei Sangyun must have felt his gaze as she glanced his way and met his eyes. The lively look she had while conversing with Fei Chuan immediately disappeared. Her gaze turned cold, and she seemed to be disgusted.
This look again.
Richard wondered why Bei Sangyun looked at him this way. He was handsome and had always been gentle to her. So why couldn’t she look at him the way she was looking at that bastard Fei Chuan?
The discrimination in her eyes made Richard feel offended and perturbed.
He showed a gentle smile, "It’s been so long since we last met. How are you?"
"It’s only been a week," Bei Sangyun casually replied, her mood sinking.
"It felt like a long time for me," Richard continued his gentle act. He gestured for his sister to exchange seats. He had to sit next to Bei Sangyun.
Sophia understood and was about to stand up when Bei Sangyun pulled Sophia’s sleeves hard. Sophia was forced to sit back again. She glared at Bei Sangyun, "What are you doing?!"
Bei Sangyun smiled, "The class is about to start. Where are you going?"
"Since when did you care where I am going? Let me go!"
Bei Sangyun was still smiling, but her eyes were cold. "Fine." But she did not let go and called out a name, "Zhong Cheng, come sit here."
A male student immediately stood up and ran to their row. He pushed past Richard and picked up Sophia by her arm. Then, without forethought ado, he sat on Sophia’s chair.
Richard and Sophia watched the entire process speechlessly. A nameless person suddenly appeared, pushed them aside, and dared to sit on their seats? Who the heck is this person who dared to mock them?
Sophia was angry, not to mention Richard, who had been ignored and disrespected. Bei Sangyun knew he was going to sit there, but she called someone to sit on that chair to not let him sit. Not only did she insult him, but she was clearly saying that she would rather have some unknown bastard sit beside her than him.
Anger flooded his brain. Was he some sort of virus? Why does she have to act in this way?
His eyes turned dark, "That’s my seat."
Zhong Cheng ignored him. He was no longer afraid of such eyes. The cold look on the tyrant’s face was ten times scarier.
"Are you deaf?" Richard asked darkly.
"How could this be your seat? This is Zhong Cheng’s seat. If you don’t want to remain standing, find your own," Bei Sangyun answered.
Richard’s temple bulged. Bei Sangyun was testing his patience. He clenched his hand, but he still held it in. "The teacher assigned me to this seat. You were there, remember?"
"You have been gone for a week, so perhaps you don’t know. The teacher changed the seat plan. Didn’t your sister tell you?"
Richard glanced at Sophia. Sophia was dumbfounded and shook her head, "The teacher did not do something like that! You are lying! You are just insulting my brother!"
Insulting him...
These words rang into Richard’s mind. Right, Bei Sangyun had done this to insult him. He, Richard Venz Simon, the successor of the Simon family, was being insulted and treated like he was a disgusting bacterium.
Not only did she hurt his pride, but she ruthlessly played on his feelings.
The fondness he had towards Bei Sangyun became twisted. Since she dared to insult him, then don’t blame him for doing the same!
Richard’s eyes flashed darkly.
At the side, Fei Chuan glanced at him. Seeing the dark look in his eyes as he looked at Bei Sangyun, he could not help but frown.
