Chapter 444: The Red Car

Fei Chuan arrived at the parking lot. As he made his way to his car, the two women who had been following him since he left the bar called out.

"Mr. Fei!"

He ignored their call and quickened his pace.

The women, assuming he hadn’t heard them, called out again. Their heels clacked against the concrete, and their loud voices echoed through the underground parking lot.

"Mr. Fei, wait! Please stop for a moment!"

The commotion caught the attention of several people nearby, causing heads to turn. Fei Chuan stopped in his tracks, frowning.

But when he turned to face the women, he forced a polite smile. "Oh, it’s you two."

"Mr. Fei... you’re so fast. We were wondering if you forgot your promise to hang out with us. Lucky we ran into you here. What a coincidence!" The women laughed breathlessly.

What coincidence? They had been waiting for him to finish his so-called "business" conversation with his friend. The moment they saw him leave, they hurried to follow him, but lost track of him on the way.

Unwilling to let such a rare, handsome man slip through their fingers, they refused to give up and continued searching.

After some deliberation, they decided to wait in the parking lot, craning their necks, scanning the area for any sign of him. Luckily, they spotted him and immediately ran after him.

Now, their ankles ached from all the running, but as they gazed up at his handsome face and dazzling smile, they both thought it was worth it.

Fei Chuan maintained a polite smile, but his words were anything but courteous. "You’re right. I actually forgot about our meet-up. I’m busy, and I don’t have time to fulfill such meaningless promises. Count me out."

The two women stared at him, mouths agape in shock. Though he was still smiling, his eyes were distant and cold. They had never encountered a man who rejected them so effortlessly. The suddenness of his dismissal left them speechless.

"You two enjoy yourselves," Fei Chuan added, turning to leave.

But the women, unwilling to give up, quickly moved to stop him.

"Wait!" One of them grabbed his arm. "You can’t just leave. If you’re busy today, we can reschedule."

"Yeah, we can wait a day or two. We’re not picky about the time or place. Just give us your number, and we’ll arrange something later."

The women believed his rejection stemmed from his busy schedule, after all, he was a businessman. Even though his dismissal had been blunt, they were willing to overlook it because of how attractive he was. It never occurred to them that he was turning them down entirely.

Fei Chuan glanced at the hand gripping his arm, his smile fading. He was about to pull away when a light suddenly flashed on behind them, followed by a loud honking that echoed through the underground parking lot.

The deafening honk startled all three of them, the sound was so loud it made their eardrums ring. The blinding headlights from the car behind them flooded their vision, forcing them to squint against the harsh glare.

There was no parking space on this side, and the car seemed deliberately out of place. It was clear that the driver had purposely flashed the lights and blasted the horn at them, with no valid reason.

The women were no pushovers. One of them immediately released Fei Chuan’s arm and spun around, furious, hurling curses at the red car that had caused such a commotion.

"What’s your problem?! This spot is taken! Are you blind?"

"This idiot’s just looking for trouble! Hey, get out of the damn car!" The two women were furious, shouting at the rude driver.

But the driver of the red car remained inside, the honking ceased, yet the blinding headlights stayed fixed on them.

The driver’s stubbornness seemed like a deliberate challenge. The two women weren’t afraid of anyone. Even though they recognized the car as a rare, limited-edition model that only a few people in the country could own, their wealth and connections made them confident they could handle any consequences. Fueled by their anger, they kicked the red car, their heels scraping its paint.

Fei Chuan squinted against the glaring light but made no move to stop them from wreaking havoc. His gaze remained fixed on the driver’s seat, obscured by the tinted windows.

He studied the driver’s seat for a long moment. Though he couldn’t see the person inside, he could feel their intense stare locked onto him.

A thought occurred to him. His narrowed eyes slowly softened, and a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

Casually, he walked over to the two women.

"Stop it, you two. Didn’t you say you wanted to go somewhere else? I’ve thought of the perfect place."

The women paused, looking at him in surprise.

Didn’t he just say he was busy?

But none of that mattered now. As long as they could spend more time with him, they didn’t care!

They eagerly ran toward him, attempting to cling to his arms, but Fei Chuan smoothly sidestepped their advances. Undeterred, they followed him happily to his car.

The two ladies quickly forgot about the red car that had disrupted them earlier.

Fei Chuan’s vehicle, now with the two women inside, pulled out of the parking space. Its reflection shimmered briefly in the driver’s window of the red car.

.....

Inside the car, the two women eagerly asked Fei Chuan where they were headed, but he remained silent, his eyes focused on the side mirror. The red car that had ’bullied’ them earlier was following closely behind.

One of the women noticed it.

"Why are they following us? What’s their problem?"

"Gosh. Do you know them? Maybe it’s that guy you were trying to hook up with earlier," her friend suggested.

"No way. That guy’s famous, too. He wouldn’t be so petty as to follow me," the other woman replied, but she quickly pulled out her phone to call the man. He answered after two rings, and after a brief exchange, she hung up.

"It’s not him. Is it one of the guys you’ve dated? None of the men I’ve been with drive a car like that."

The other woman thought for a moment and shook her head. Although her past partners were wealthy and had good backgrounds, none of them owned that particular red car. It was a rare model, with only a handful of people in the country owning one.

The two exchanged puzzled glances before turning their attention to the quiet man behind the wheel.

"Mr. Fei, do you know who that is?" one of them asked.

Fei Chuan glanced again at the red car, still maintaining the same distance. He pressed the gas, accelerating, and the red car immediately sped up to match his pace. He smirked.

"Who knows," he replied coolly.

...

The red car pulled up outside a high-end club. Unlike the previous club, this one had strict entry requirements.

The club had three floors: the first was a lively, crowded space filled with young partygoers. But the second and third floors were exclusive, reserved only for those with personal recommendations or invitations from club members.
