Star Gate-Chapter 1664: The Plan Is Complete (I)

“Get out of my way!” snarled Griefstricken. “This seat is giving you one last chance! I’ll cut you down if you don’t piss off! I’ll have you know that not all masters of the world are fit to be called a master of the world!”

There was an immense difference between sixth and seventh rank! One far greater than the imagination could fathom!

The Orchid Forest master was also putting everything on the line! It was confirmed that the Red Moon master wouldn’t be showing up. He’d sent a seventh rank to Orchid Forest, which meant that his situation was more stable than before. If the Red Moon master came as well, that meant he was ready to give up on the Red Moon home world.

In that case, what am I afraid of?? the Orchid Forest master cursed madly to himself.

“Work with the Sword Sovereign and the rest to kill all of the other exalted emperors!” His voice appeared in the midst of the Orchid Forest exalted emperors and Yan Fang’s group within the world. “Be quick about it!”

He would hold back nothing! Nothing was off limits and he was most certainly not bowing to Griefstricken’s interference in his pursuit to becoming a seventh rank!

Within the world, the hearts of the local exalted emperors quailed. Yan Fang promptly led a group of people toward the battlefield.

Outside the world, the Orchid Forest master shouted angrily and shook the chaos with loud tolls. “Does Red Moon think that Orchid Forest can do nothing about your aggression?! Must you invade us?? We came here with the greatest show of sincerity to join your proposed alliance. Not only do you not protect us, but you seek to swallow Orchid Forest instead! Who will dare join the Red Moon banner after all this??”

His voice echoed through the chaos and his enraged howl reverberated through the world. Since there was open hostilities between the two factions, he would pin a crime on Red Moon first before anything else!

With that, the Orchid Forest master’s presence swelled dramatically. While he wasn’t a seventh rank yet, he was a premier sixth rank. His dao universe materialized into public view and he set his jaw. “Then we fight! This seat would treat you with some caution if the Red Moon master was here himself. What are you worth, Griefstricken?!”

“You bastard!” raged Griefstricken. These Orchid Forest idiots were out of their minds! He dropped the conversation. The world master had given orders that he could directly attack if anything untoward developed.

Boom!

A red moon appeared in the void, as if a world domain in itself. It manifested a dao domain, eliciting countless howls and wails of agony when it formed.

Abject suffering permeated the dao domain!

This was the origin for Griefstricken’s moniker. There seemed to be a myriad of souls within his dao domain and all of them suffering with absolute misery. Cries and sobs rose from the congregation of innumerable souls!

Rumble!

The dao universe shook violently and Red Moon power swept over it. Even the Orchid Forest master could sense the invasion from a great dao. His emotions shifted as he howled with fury!

A myriad of phenomena!

A dao domain similar to hell appeared, with dense, luscious qi that was somehow eerily sinister rising from it. When contrasted with the wails and howls of agony from the other side, it felt like hell had descended upon the chaos!

“You really did dare make a move!” snarled Griefstricken. The red moon over his head rushed at the world master!

You court death!

At the same time, when battle broke out.

The Red Moon main world.

The Red Moon master glared ominously, not saying a word as he became one with the great dao. His will silently materialized over Griefstricken, but he didn’t descend in person. He was just observing the surroundings.

Where was New Martial?

Griefstricken was his contingency plan, but also a public target! The Red Moon master wished to see if New Martial was nearby.

This is the last of my seventh ranks. If New Martial is nearby, perhaps... they might have the idea of ambushing Griefstricken.

However, they felt the ripples of great dao a split second later. The Orchid Forest master was a praying mantis trying to stop a wagon. He’d actually dared stand in Griefstricken’s way! What a bastard!

Orchid Forest exalted emperors abruptly materialized on the outskirts of the formation. Yan Fang didn’t say a word before he attacked a low rank on the fringes. He’d absolutely had enough of the situation!

Dao strength erupted as soon as he made his move. A sinister qi flared, as if the man came from the depths of hell. An exalted emperor who’d previously had his vitality stripped away died on the spot!

“Kill them all!” Yan Fang’s order sent all of the Orchid Forest exalted emperors into action. They had the advantage of terrain and numbers, as well as the weakness of the wandering cultivators brought on from their life force being extracted from them!

Battle was upon them! Heaven Rite and his group were vicious and ruthless in their efforts. They were of the world master’s faction and as such, wanted nothing more than for the world master to make the breakthrough.

With the Orchid Forest exalted emperors in the battlefield, it took only a moment for pained wails and screams to fill the air. Their opponents had first been barraged by thunder and lightning, then enveloped with emptiness and revitalization, and finally had their life force taken from them.

They were extremely fragile to begin with and absolutely no match for the seething, resentful Orchid Forest exalted emperors. This was the latter’s chance to vent their emotions. They also had sixth ranks sitting in residence to protect them.

Five low ranks were executed in the blink of an eye! Combined with the number that had died before meant that abruptly half of the wandering cultivators were no more.

Yan Fang didn’t say anything; he shrugged off his opponent and dashed for the core area. Bloodlust and his companions jerked with alarm. Red Moon only had four sixth ranks left in their delegation; they faced the Sword Sovereign, Void, Yan Fang, and Li Hao. That made four against four!

Were there other sixth ranks within Orchid Forest?

They didn’t know, but Bloodlust could no longer afford to defend Red Moon dignity. “Are there any hidden fellow daoists out there??” he shouted. “If you do not make a move, Orchid Forest will certainly massacre you when all of us fall in battle!”

There was no way he believed that the wandering cultivator Yu Xiu was the only one who’d barged into Orchid Forest. There must be others!

It was just that he’d been confident that six Red Moon exalted emperors would be able to dominate anyplace they were located in. Hence, he didn’t care about those in the shadows at all. So what if there were more sixth ranks out there?

“Is there really no one else?” he bellowed. “Do you think you can escape from them?!”

The Sword Sovereign ignored the man and unsheathed his sword! Sword qi raced for the heavens! Everything could wait until after he killed this guy!

Four against four would be difficult, even with Li Hao preoccupying one of them. But... it was also much better than he’d anticipated. He’d thought that he would have to fight all of them himself or fight five by himself. Now, he only needed to fight one!

The Sword Sovereign pointed his sword at Bloodlust!

Yan Fang blinked, but immediately switched direction for Li Hao. Since this crown prince of Light wished to seek glory and fight two people at the same time... then he could do so. Yan Fang was a premier Orchid Forest exalted emperor and fighting on home ground. He commanded significant strength in battle.

A shadowy arrow sped through the air before he arrived and made for the sixth rank entangled with Li Hao!

An impressive presence swept in all directions.

The fight had commenced. The most harrowing battlefront wasn’t with Li Hao, but the peak sixth rank Bloodlust. Being two peak sixth ranks, he and the Sword Sovereign both wielded the sword. However, Bloodlust lost an arm after one exchange!

This was horrifying!

The Sword Sovereign’s weapon was so formidable that his enemy was on the back foot after one blow. A peak sixth rank from a major world didn’t seem to be worth much, but the Sword Sovereign wasn’t satisfied.
