Star Gate-Chapter 1726: Returning Home With Riches (II)
“I am just a humble junior in the chaos universe,” Li Hao’s voice sounded again. “Five hundred years in Silver Moon were just a few months in the chaos! Of course, I am not a regular exalted emperor either. Exalted emperors of the chaos are divided into nine ranks.
“I am a fifth rank exalted emperor! Sixth ranks are a little bit stronger than me, but their strength is limited. Seventh rank comes after that and is ten times stronger than regular sixth rank!” The young man’s voice shook the world. “Seventh ranks are the true masters of the world and tyrants of the chaos! Eighth ranks are premier existences, but it is ninth ranks that are invincible!
“Prior to my return, eight seventh ranks died in the chaos. Another batch of seventh ranks died before that and an eighth rank was nearly beaten to death. Hundreds of regular exalted emperors died, their corpses piled up as mountains and blood flowed in rivers. Exalted emperors fell like raindrops. Such is the chaos!!”
“......” A deathly silence reigned as everyone reeled with shock. What?? The marquis was only a fifth rank? Sixth ranks were stronger than him, but seventh ranks were ten times stronger??
Hundreds of exalted emperors could die at once??
That was a joke, wasn’t it?
All of Silver Moon was taken aback and Hong Yitang couldn’t help but transmit, “Ah... scaring them too much isn’t good, is it?”
He knew that Li Hao wanted to intimidate the world and encourage everyone to settle down. But what you’re saying is really scary. Exalted emperors that can destroy a world with a casual wave dying by the droves... How terrifying is the chaos?!
“Have I said anything false?”
Well, no.
But...
Hong Yitang stared wordlessly at the young man. Why don’t you talk about how these hundreds died and who killed them? And how did all those seventh ranks die?
If we’re being serious, then both New Martial and Silver Moon are scourges. So many seventh ranks died either because of New Martial or Silver Moon. Many exalted emperors have died in the chaos all these years, but Li Hao, the Human King, and the supreme were the true troublemakers behind so many dying all at once.
Silver Moon began to recover from its shock. Their astonishment transformed into feverish enthusiasm. So this was how strong an exalted emperor was! While their marquis didn’t seem good for much because he was a fifth rank, he was ridiculously strong all the same. And the key was, the Silver Moon marquis was young!
It’d only been a few months in the chaos and he’d reached fifth rank at such a young age. So didn’t that mean ninth rank was only a matter of time?
Some restless elements agitating for change within Silver Moon abruptly quieted down. There was a complete lack of desire for unrest when faced with absolute power.
Are you going to defy an existence that can destroy a world with one hand? Do you really think he cares about the position of the Silver Moon marquis? Who wants to be the overlord of such a small world?
They’d always thought that what they learned about the Silver Moon marquis was exaggerated, but now they realized the exact opposite!
Do the people who author textbooks know how to describe something or not?? They need to stop putting textbooks together if they don’t! The information they’d put forth before indicated that exalted emperors are very strong, that they could demolish a city with one punch.
Bah!
Everyone had thought that was empty hot air, but now they felt that those who wrote the textbooks had done so without engaging their brains. They must not be powerhouses! How else would they conflate exalted emperors and heavyweights that could raze a city?
Everyone understood what was meant by an exalted emperor today. This display was to be an exalted emperor!
Of course, they would realize what bullshit it all was if they became exalted emperors themselves. These beings weren’t nearly that powerful.
Li Hao seemed to feel that the current air of reverence wasn’t enough and sought to add fuel to the flames. “I’ve made many friends after spending some years in the chaos. The person next to me is the seventh rank New Martial Sword Sovereign. He is the previous king of Silver Moon!
“I also count the seventh rank Orchid Forest master, seventh rank Exalted Emperor Li Zhu, and half step seventh rank Void—son of an eighth rank—as my friends. It is with their help that I’ve seized an abandoned ninth rank major world!
“Numerous seventh ranks died on that world, but everyone showed me face and was willing to help me obtain Skyward so I can borrow it for our benefit. Us Silver Moon denizens have not seen much of the world and do not have great skill to our name. Hence, it would be a good opportunity for us to poke around an abandoned ninth rank major world!
“Today, I open the Star Gate in hopes of gathering those with breadth of vision. If you are willing to walk out of Silver Moon, you can do so in a few days and take a look at Skyward! We need to do so now as vast sums of exalted emperors are being migrated off the world. Countless cultivators are also being transported away.
“In a few days, Light Crown Prince Void is going to silence the world. That will turn it into a dead domain. Skyward is dozens of times larger than Silver Moon, but it has become a discarded world...”
Silver Moon’s population stopped dead in their tracks. There was too much information in this speech. Our marquis seems to be popular in the chaos; he has friends everywhere. They’re also all seventh and eighth rank to boot. Everyone showed him face to help him seize a ninth rank world.
And today, us Silver Moon bumpkins seem to have an opportunity to visit a ninth rank major world. Even though it’s been discarded, this is just as lovely according to the marquis.
There were a great deal of heavyweights present and countless of them were beyond themselves with excitement.
Was all of this real?
The old guard sighed with immense emotion. That was right, the marquis doled out benefits whenever he spoke. That was the case five hundred years ago and that was the case again now. It looked like the marquis was having a grand ole time despite being absent for five hundred years!
He was a fifth rank, yet had made so many premier heavyweight friends. As expected of our marquis!
......
The restless Silver Moon calmed down after Li Hao demonstrated his strength. The young man smiled and looked at youngsters like Liu Yin. Alright, well, technically speaking, they were all older than him. However, the young man felt that he himself was too old.
These people might look mature, but they were too young and innocent.
How nice it is to be young!
“You’ve seen an exalted emperor’s strength with your own eyes now. What do you think, nephew?”
The Sword Sovereign blinked and looked at Li Hao. Where did you get that from? Of all things you could learn, you decided to pick this up from the Human King!
But... well... there isn’t anything wrong with what you’re saying! What else is he supposed to address Liu Yin with?
Liu Long had led Li Hao’s old team back in the day and later became the young man’s subordinate. He’d followed Li Hao all this time and was older than the young man. What was Li Hao supposed to call Liu Yin if not nephew? His brother?
But...
Forget it!
The Sword Sovereign was immensely resigned. Don’t imitate the Human King. Fang Ping always elevates the status of whoever he encounters. He calls Celestial Pole his nephew because he is the same generation as the Western Emperor.
There was no more stubborn pride to be seen in Liu Yin. “Strong, so strong!” He rapidly bobbed his head. “I am a frog at the bottom of the well and see the sky from my little patch of the world!
“But... if my father and the others would have told us before that this is how strong exalted emperors are... we...” He couldn’t help but add.
We wouldn’t have believed it either! We knew nothing of the world!
“It’s said that there was already recording equipment back in that time,” Liu Yin really couldn’t help himself. “Why didn’t you... leave behind some images and recordings of exalted emperors? We might not have been so stupid otherwise!”
It was only now that he found himself and his cohorts amazingly stupid. Liu Long and the rest were speechless. Recordings? Who would we have recorded?
There were people we could’ve recorded, but it was all an ignoble and embarrassing history. Who had the time to record those proper battles? Not to mention, I wasn’t even an Empyrean King then. How was I supposed to record a battle between exalted emperors?? I’d die from the fallout!
Li Hao laughed and looked at the crowd. “Alright, that’s enough of that. Let’s go find a place to sit and wait for a bit. Let’s see who else will come back to us. I’m going to enhance Silver Moon as a whole this time. We’ll become a sixth rank world, if not a major world!”
It would be very difficult to ascend to the level of a major world, but who knew what the outcome would be if they didn’t try? Fourth to sixth rank was just a matter of consuming energy stones. No other mid world in the chaos can afford to do so, but is that true for me?
I’m going to raise the world’s level and set the dao universe aside for now. It’s much easier to improve the world’s strength. The world’s strength grows in concentration when the dao net is completed to a greater degree, which will then naturally propel the world upward.
Panth will be able to catch up from behind and perhaps surpass the masters of dao to become the first sixth rank!
......
The Silver Moon marquis residence.
A group of people were gathered together. Some were visitors to the world, some had left Silver Moon a few months ago, and others had opted to stay on the world.
Director General Zhao listened to Li Hao’s tales of the chaos with shock and amazement. The young man had brought together factions from all over to destroy a seventh rank dao universe, break through an eighth rank dao universe, destroy Red Moon’s dao universe, and forced the Red Moon master to become a wandering cultivator...
A few months in Li Hao’s life seemed more interesting than five hundred years in his. The director general’s life had been one of following the prescribed order. They’d utilized what Li Hao had left behind to further develop martial dao, but their accomplishments did not seem worthy of mention compared to the young man’s.
Their greatest change was having digested more of New Martial’s legacy.
Illiteracy was no longer present in the general population; academies forested the land. Martial dao was accessible to every level in society. Everyone was aware and understood it.
Their living conditions were better and more convenient than before. Some of New Martial’s original plans, such as the development of communications, roads, and infrastructure were completed. Skyscrapers rose from the ground as well.
All of that had been well done.
The rest of their achievements was that Fused Dao could be seen everywhere in the world these days. There hadn’t been that many when Li Hao left. The resources that the young man had traded for from the eighth rank Light major world had been enough to support a mid world.
Li Hao had given it all to Silver Moon, which produced one hundred thousand Fused Dao cultivators in present day Silver Moon. There were at least one million Sun and Moon and even more Mountain and Sea!
All of the old guard that’d survived were of the Mountain and Sea level. There were too many to be counted!
