Star Odyssey-Chapter 3452: You Have Complaints
Chapter 3452: You Have Complaints
"The Jade Cauldron Sect? The same Jade Cauldron Sect that rules over the White Orchid Domain?"
"Shh! Keep your voice down. I was fortunate enough to have seen him once from a distance. Not even our seniors are qualified to greet him. Don't let him notice us!"
Xu Ren quickly continued. "And that one? The one buried in the ground?"
"Shut up! That's his battle technique!"
"Oh. Then who is he?"
"He’s Cranekeeper of the Cloudcrane Domain!”
"That Cloudcrane Domain?"
"What other Cloudcrane Domain could there be?"
"So he’s a big shot.
"And that one?"
"Which one?"
"The most obvious one."
"The one standing like a wooden stake?"
"Lower your voice! That's Si Kong from the Misery Gate."
"Hsss! The Misery Gate’s Si Kong? Why are there so many big shots here? What are they all up to? Is some sort of treasure about to appear?"

"Hmph! Not a treasure, but a group of dangerous people. All these people are following the Grandverse Manor’s Third Boss to keep a close eye on him."
Xu Ren grew confused. "What’s the Grandverse Manor?"
Sixth Brother replied, "This is something big that is affecting the entire megaverse, so it's normal for you to not know, but let me tell you..."
"Hey, you two!" A sharp voice called to them from up above.
Sixth Brother and Xu Ren both looked up to see a pale, beautiful young woman. Her hands were on her hips, and she was glaring at the two men in an arrogant manner.
The two stared up at her in a daze.
"Little Princess?" Xu Ren felt confused. The young woman was a descendant of Sage Qian, and in the Vast Qian Domain, she was known as the Little Princess. He had never had any sort of interaction with her before, so how had she found them?
The young girl stared down, and her eyes fixated onto Xu Ren. "You are Xu Ren, right?"
Xu Ren nodded. "Yes."
"Give me the mist that you've gathered."
Xu Ren asked in a daze, "Why?"
The young girl snorted contemptuously. "I told you to give it to me, so hand it over. Why the question? What's wrong? Can you not understand me?"
Xu Ren remembered a rumor that he had heard before. It claimed that this little princess had once tried to enter the Skyriver, but had been chased away by Sage Qian.
Only those who were given explicit permission by Sage Qian were allowed to enter the Skyriver. No one else was permitted, not even the domain’s Little Princess.
Xu Ren immediately understood that the Little Princess had her eye on the river’s mist.
With enough mist, one could gain as many benefits as if they had bathed directly in the Skyriver mist.
Xu Ren was unwilling to comply. He had spent an entire year collecting mist, and he had intended to sell it to Sixth Brother. Being targeted by the Little Princess was completely unexpected.
Sixth Brother felt relieved. He was lucky that he had not brought any mist, as he would have suffered a massive loss if he had. All of his goods would have been confiscated.
He gave Xu Ren a sympathetic look. "Brother, you've run out of luck. My family might have a bit of money, but I can't stand up to this little princess either."
"Why are you still staring? Hurry up and give it to me!" the Little Princess scolded.
Xu Ren reluctantly handed a gourd to the young woman.
The Little Princess smiled. "Remember, from now on, you will gather mist specifically for me. Don't worry, I won't treat you poorly. If anyone dares to make any problems for you, just mention my name. That’ll protect you, haha."
Xu Ren was stunned. Not only had he been ordered to turn over the mist that he had just gathered, but was she also demanding all that he accumulated in the future? He could not agree to that. How was that any different from cutting off his path forward? He relied on the mist that he gathered to acquire resources for his own cultivation.
"Little Princess, I- I also need to cultivate."
The young woman frowned. "I allow you to gather mist because I think well of you. If you say another word, I'll have Granny here beat you."
A short distance behind the Little Princess was an old woman, and she shot a cold, vicious glare at Xu Ren, immediately frightening him into silence. He could only reluctantly agree.
"You too." The Little Princess then turned her attention to Sixth Brother.
The man was taken aback, but he quickly tried to appease the young woman. "What would you like me to do, Little Princess?"
The Little Princess sized Sixth Brother up. "Are you here to buy this mist from Xu Ren?"
Sixth Brother was about to deny it, but then he suddenly felt a spike of bloodlust lock onto him from nearby. It was from the old woman.
His face grew pale, and he forced out an awkward smile. "Yes."
The Little Princess sneered. "Give me the mist you've bought before."
Sixth Brother was naturally unwilling to agree. "Little Princess, my family has served Sage Qian for generations, transporting resources for him. We have a home that was given to us by Sage Qian himself. My family is absolutely loyal to Sage Qian and to you, Little Princess. Please, look into this matter carefully."
The Little Princess raised an eyebrow. "You transport resources?"
At that moment, a sharp shout rang out, and the area grew darker. The old woman instantly appeared in front of the Little Princess, warily watching a distant figure who was half-buried in the ground. "Where did this horrid brat come from? Be quiet!"
The Little Princess was terrified. The moment the man had shouted, she had felt like she was staring at the talons of a crane in flight. The talons contained a cold killing intent, and she had nearly broken down from the intense sensation.
The old woman gritted her teeth and whispered, "That’s the Cloudcrane Domain’s Guardian Crane.
"This is the Little Princess of the Vast Qian Domain. Even Guardian Crane must show a bit of respect."
Guardian Crane’s eyes turned to the old woman. "If you talk too much, I'll kill you."
"Shut up! Here they come!" Another loud shout echoed like thunder in the old woman's ears, and she nearly fainted. She looked over in shock and saw the Augury Domain’s Misery Gate’s Si Kong. He was the one who had just shouted.
The Little Princess' eyes grew flushed. Never in her life had she ever been so humiliated, and she was about to cry.
The old woman quickly clasped a hand over the Little Princess' mouth and whispered in her ear, "Little Princess, these people are not to be trifled with! They're from many different domains, and even the Grandverse Manor’s Third Boss is about to arrive. Say nothing!"
The Little Princess was confused, but she knew her granny. If Granny said not to speak, then the Little Princess understood that she absolutely had to remain silent.
Xu Ren secretly shot a glare at the Little Princess. Good job!
The spoiled brat was out of control, but fortunately, she had run into someone intimidating. At the least, this vented a bit of Xu Ren’s frustrations.
However, there were so many people present, and they were all waiting for someone to arrive. The fact that they were too frightened to even make a sound made Xu Ren question just who was coming.
He looked over at the distant mountains, just as a small dark dot appeared. It slowly grew larger.
His mouth fell open. Just what was he looking at?
There was a sedan chair approaching them, carried by two massive beasts in front and behind. A young master lounged on the sedan, with a beautiful woman on either arm. The women were stunningly beautiful, and they surpassed any women Xu Ren had ever seen. They surpassed the Little Princess by such an absurd amount that they could not even be considered to be on the same level.
The entire region fell silent, all because of one person’s arrival.
The Little Princess’ eyes bulged as she stared. Was he the Grandverse Manor’s Third Boss? She had heard of him before, but she had not paid much attention to the stories. Was he really so powerful that he could even intimidate the people that her Vast Qian Domain feared? He looked so young, yet he seemed even more petulant than her.
The sedan chair was about to pass by, but then it suddenly stopped.
Everyone watching held their breath, unsure of why the group had stopped.
Guardian Crane slowly buried his entire body underground.
Misery Gate’s Si Kong pulled his head back.
The elder from the White Orchid Domain’s Jade Cauldron Sect bent low. He did not dare to raise his head.
It felt as though everyone's hearts had stopped beating for the moment.
Only one person remained standing in place, and they were staring blankly at the young master lounging in the sedan. That person was Xu Ren. He was absolutely certain that the young master was looking at him.
"You have grievances." The voice echoed across the distance. The universe seemed to press down, and everyone’s attention was pulled over. They followed the young master’s gaze, and all of them stared at Xu Ren.
Even the old woman, the Little Princess, Guardian Crane, and the other experts present turned to look at Xu Ren at that moment.
Xu Ren was stunned. Grievances?
"Young man, our Third Boss is speaking to you. Come here and give him an answer." A soft, weathered voice spoke to Xu Ren. Old Tao had spoken up, as the young master was naturally Lu Yin.
He had entered the Vast Qian Domain with the intention of heading straight to the Skyriver so that he could make trouble for Sage Qian. However, he had thought that it might be better to have an excuse, even if it did not particularly matter if there was an excuse or not.
He swept through the region with his domain, finding all of those who had been shadowing his journey. He had noticed Xu Ren being bullied by the Little Princess from a great distance away, and this incident offered Lu Yin the perfect excuse.
After all, it did not feel very rewarding to bully someone without a reason.
As countless people stared at him, Xu Ren involuntarily moved closer to Lu Yin. The young man did not know why he was moving forward—only that, at the moment, he was being stared at by everyone. These people represented many different domains, and all of them were important in those domains. These were people Xu Ren would normally not even be qualified to lay eyes upon. However, at this moment, all these great figures were looking at him, though their expressions were all different.
At this moment, Xu Ren felt as if he had become the center of the universe.
No one could resist such a sensation, so he moved forward. He might not be able to return, but Xu Ren felt that he needed to go forward.
The only thing that people sought in life was contentment, no matter if it was through love, family, fame, or even from life itself. One’s death should be faced with a sense of fulfillment.
Xu Ren stopped being nervous and confused, forcefully stabilizing his mental state. This process took exactly as long as it took him to move from the mountain to Lu Yin's side.
"I am Xu Ren. Greetings, young master," he said.
Lu Yin stared at Xu Ren, appreciation in his eyes. "You have a good name. You also have grievances."
Xu Ren did not understand what Lu Yin meant, and he stared at him in confusion.
Lu Yin leaned forward, as though trying to see through Xu Ren. "You are dissatisfied with something."
Dissatisfied? Xu Ren looked back at the mountain he had come from. Yes, he was dissatisfied with what had just happened. Why should his mist be stolen by the Little Princess? Why should he work for her for the rest of his life, with his only compensation to not be beaten? Why?
"Speak your grievances and what you are upset about. I’m a young master who likes to help people," Lu Yin stated as he arrogantly raised his head. He radiated an aura of utter contempt for everything in existence.
On the mountain, the old woman trembled. How could this be? Does Xu Ren know the Grandverse Manor’s Third Boss? How is that possible? He’s just an ant!
The Little Princess did not understand what was happening, but she did feel a chill run through her.
While she was inexperienced, she was no fool.
The man she had just bullied seemed to have someone extraordinary supporting him, but why?
Xu Ren looked away from the mountain, and then he gathered his courage to meet Lu Yin's eyes once more. He spoke in a respectful tone, "Yes, I have grievances. I am dissatisfied."
"Tell me."
"In this Vast Qian Domain, there is the Skyriver, and mist rises from it. Bathing in that mist can allow a person to merge with the universe, while also cleansing their body. While access to the Skyriver itself is restricted, the mist is spread throughout the entire Vast Qian Domain. My family has worked as mist catchers for generations, serving the Vast Qian Domain.
"Today, the domain’s Little Princess confiscated my mist and ordered that I turn over all mist I gather from now on to her. This is my grievance.
"I am willing to exchange my labor for compensation. Why should the Little Princess be allowed to simply take what is mine?"
Xu Ren did not speak loudly, but Lu Yin ensured that the young man’s voice rang across the entire Vast Qian Domain.
Elsewhere in the domain, above the Skyriver, Sage Qian’s expression turned grim as his fists clenched tightly. That little brat had just created a huge mess. The Grandverse Manor thrived on chaos, and the girl just had to make trouble at such a critical moment.
Sage Qian raced towards Lu Yin.
Near the mountains, many eyes fell upon the Little Princess and her guardian.
The old woman felt as if the sky was about to collapse upon them.
The Little Princess clutched at the old woman's sleeve, seeking support. Fear and unease overwhelmed her.
Sixth Brother silently stepped back. Xu Ren had obtained the greatest fortune imaginable, being able to speak to the Grandverse Manor’s Third Boss. That man currently stood at the peak of the megaverse.
The Cloudcrane Domain’s Guardian Crane dug deeper into the ground, creating more distance for himself. A calamitous god had arrived.
The Misery Gate’s Si Kong simply fled.
The Jade Cauldron Sect’s elder moved away.
