Star Wars: Daimon's Story-Chapter 157: The Hidden Powers
Unknown planet
Mnggal-Mnggal, the entity that had previously escaped Daimon’s grasped, has spent the last thousand years rebuilding his power. He managed to rebuild his power on a hidden world somewhere in the Outer rim, away from any Imperial colonization efforts and borders.
He periodically went to surrounding planets and enslaved some of the local populations into doing his bidding. He used them to mine the resources on their planets and then build ships using his own vast knowledge. Once he could build ships, he created his own tiny empire, using enslaved populations to create weapons to use against Daimon.
He found Force-sensitive people and either used them to increase his own power, or he trained them up to use them as puppets against Daimon. Doing this for a thousand years and he has managed to create the perfect warriors to fight against Daimon and the Imperium.
And while small in number, they more than made up for it with their Force abilities.
Mnggal-Mnggal had spent considerable time studying the Imperium’s patterns. A thousand years of observation had taught it things that no conventional intelligence operation could have gathered, because Mnggal-Mnggal did not observe the way other beings observed. It experienced what it consumed, and over a thousand years it had consumed enough to understand a number of things.
The Imperium was vast. That was both its greatest strength and the only exploitable weakness that Mnggal-Mnggal had identified. Vast things had edges that their centers could not always see clearly. The core worlds were monitored so tightly that made any direct confrontation with them suicidal. But the edges, the newly integrated territories, the worlds still in early colonization stages, where Imperial administration had not yet established themselves were vulnerable.
The Force-sensitives it had cultivated over the centuries numbered 43. Not a large number by any conventional military standard. But each of them had been shaped from birth or near birth by Mnggal-Mnggal’s direct influence, which meant their connection to the Force had developed unlike anything the Jedi Order or the Balance Keepers had encountered.
Mnggal-Mnggal had taught its cultivated sensitives ancient techniques and abilities. Since birth, it had exposed them to the Force in its rawest form and then guided them as they grew. The results were as Mnggal-Mnggal expected, 43 super powered Force sensitives who could use a range of abilities to combat their enemies.
Comparing them to a Progenitor, they were slightly weaker making one of them not enough to defeat one, but if three of them were to gang up on a single Progenitor, then they could overpower and kill them. This was good enough for Mnggal-Mnggal as it had 43 of these puppets that it could throw at the Emperor.
But what were the puppets going to do if they got overwhelmed by the guards who protected the Emperor and Progenitors. This is where the enslaved populations come in. The ones who were warriors were genetically altered by Mnggal-Mnggal to increase their strength and other abilities.
So, while small in numbers, they were also powerful enough to conduct quick skirmish battles, overwhelm the enemy, and complete their objectives.
Combined with his renewed power, he had the means to start taking to the fight to Daimon. But he wanted to wait some more before he directly got involved.
So, at this time he was reaching out to the Dark Lord whom he had been aware of for some time now. Darth Rune had been operating in isolation for a thousand years.
Mnggal-Mnggal had observed him for some time and determined that he would be the perfect pawn to use against Daimon and the Imperium.
So, he reached out through the Force, first appearing as a voice in Darth Rune’s head. Then after numerous months, he subtly showed that he was an ally to Darth Rune and his ideas. Darth Rune didn’t trust him at first, but after spending numerous days talking to each other, the two came to a sort of agreement that their goals aligned and that they should work together.
With the foundations of that relationship built, they developed it over 100 years.
Darth Rune felt like he was benefiting the most from this relationship as he had received a lot while Mnggal-Mnggal wasn’t really getting anything besides an ally.
But the fact was that Darth Rune was getting used and he didn’t even know it. Mnggal-Mnggal knew that Rune’s hatred was a tool that he could use for his own gain. Rune was a man who had been beheaded in his own council chamber by an Emperor who had then laughed about it. That hatred had been refined in time into something else entirely.
Though at the same time Mnggal-Mnggal was putting himself at risk as Darth Rune was one those predictable allies. Their hatred for a single thing would make the things they do in the long run predictable to whoever they are fighting against.
And predictable allies were dangerous. They made choices based on what they wanted rather than what the situation required, and those choices had a tendency to lead to the wrong ending. But predictable allies were also useful as they could be aimed like a sword towards a particular target.
From this, Mnggal-Mnggal sent two of his own Force users and a few of his own genetically enhanced warriors, to assist Rune’s operations.
Now after 100 years of this relationship, Darth Rune was prepared to unleash his forces on the galaxy through a series of small skirmishes.
Meanwhile, Mnggal-Mnggal had recently discovered the massive artificial sphere called Lokath that was built by an ancient advanced species. It had spent centuries scouring the part of the Unknown Regions that the Imperium had yet to expand to in search of unknown technologies lost to time.
Now, it had finally found a system and had spent some time observing the sole ruler of Lokath, ARIES.
ARIES was a self-aware droid created by the original inhabitants of Lokath, an advanced species who existed until they were all wiped out in a civil war leaving ARIES to rule the place. This happened, a little over a thousand years ago, allowing ARIES to consolidate power.
He made the service droids into his slaves and soldiers and created a policy to kill any people who tried to enter his home.
But even with all of this, he could not stop himself from being controlled by an entity like Mnggal-Mnggal. No matter how strong he was, he was still a droid that could be manipulated by any Force User powerful enough to do so.
It didn’t take long for Mnggal-Mnggal to take control of this machine and by extension, Lokath and its weapons. By doing this, it also learned about the Eternal Fleet and the Superweapon on ARIES base that could knock out or kill organics over a large distance within the system.
The superweapon was not something Mnggal-Mnggal had expected to find. A weapon capable of eliminating organic life across an entire system while leaving infrastructure intact was something that he could use.
The Eternal Fleet was also something that would be great, once he found it. The problem with that was the fact that he would have to risk running into Imperial exploration drones that scoured the galaxy for new systems and signs of life.
Still, if he found it, he would be able to advance his plans forward by at least a few centuries.
All of this happened within the span of a century and would come to be a thorn in Daimon’s side once they are used against him.

Taris - Sith Contested world
Out of all the places to be right now in the galaxy, Taris with a few exceptions, was the most dangerous. The surface was being destroyed by the proxy war between the Jedi who joined the side of the insurrectionists, and the Sith.
Standing in the middle of this was the Imperium who created a neutral and safe area where the people of the planet could live in peace. The safe zone around for fifty years through a combination of the Aurifex Legate’s presence and the fear of poking the bear that was the Imperium.
The Jedi had a good relationship with the Imperium which saw them become proactive again throughout the Galaxy. And they didn’t want to disrupt this relationship by doing anything stupid.
The Sith didn’t want to draw the eyes of Daimon toward them anymore than they needed, as they weren’t prepared to face him yet.
The people of Taris were thankful for the Imperium’s intervention as their presence had allowed the flow of goods to continue through the capital city Olaris. The airspace around the planet besides for Olaris was designated a no-fly zone by the Imperial forces.
As such, transports had to follow a strict route which led them directly to Olaris without putting them in danger of being shot down.
From here, ground transports traveled to and from other major cities in the nearby areas not controlled by the Imperium, delivering much needed supplies to the people and businesses.
However, some corporations who had invested in Taris wanted more security for their own transport ships that they still flew through contested areas. So, certain people from the Imperial garrison were tasked with escorting some ships through contested airspaces.
On a transport heading from Olaris, there was a Balance Keeper who was very unique. His name was William D Frederick a.k.a. The Doctor of Death. He had completed his training as a Balance Keeper but had turned himself into an advanced cyborg that worked for the Imperial biochemical warfare division.
He was a hybrid, with his father being a Gen’Dai and his mother a human, making him have the longevity of a Gen’Dai and the characteristics of a human.
This was something that was not thought possible, until the Genetics department made a breakthrough, allowing Gen’Dai to have children with other races and those children would be able to live at least half of a Gen’Dai’s life, if not more.
Before, the Gen’Dai’s longevity was not something that could be passed down. But after centuries of research, this problem was fixed which also opened room for long living Balance Keepers.

A/N: Originally, Gen’Dai couldn’t have children with other species with the exception of Daimon and the Progenitors. Then somewhere between the 300–400-year mark, this was fixed, permitting Gen’Dai and other races to have inter-species relations and have children. After that a new problem arise and the Longevity of the Gen’Dai wasn’t passed off which brought a new problem which took centuries to create a solution for.
Normally Daimon could have come up with some Force thing to fix this, but due to the Gen’Dai’s lack of Force connectivity, this wasn’t possible, thus they had to resort to thousands of experiments ran on Gen’Dai and other species for centuries until a proper solution was created and given to any Gen’Dai wanting to have inter-species relations. I don’t know if I explained any of this throughout the story but here it is in case I didn’t. If I said something different in the beginning please let me know so I can go back and correct it, because honestly, I can’t remember.

William was currently sitting down on a transport headed for some major Sith controlled city to deliver not just some package, but some businessman’s daughter to see her sister who was helping the injured in an active war zone. He didn’t have much of an opinion on the mission. The God-Emperor sent him here, so whatever mission he gets sent on was his will, and he wouldn’t complain not one bit.
His hope was that everything went smoothly with this assignment, but whenever he hoped for one thing, usually the opposite happened.
