Stars In His Eyes-Chapter 1783: Their Happy Times 15
"Ding Long is holding the older brother in his arms, there’s a small red mole on his left palm." Ding Jinshi laughed, "The younger brother has a red mole behind his left ear."
As the sons grow more alike, even Ding Jinshi as a mother sometimes has to use such small birthmarks to distinguish between the two. Yet Ding Long, as the father, always has a keen eye, no matter how the two children switch around, Ding Long can always tell the older from the younger at a glance.
"Baobei resembles her brother-in-law more, but these two children look more like my sister." Zhou Chenyue replied.
Chen Shan disagreed, "I think these two kids resemble Ding Long, or rather, they look like Baobei, their older sister."
Standing to the side, Ding Baobei clapped her hands in delight upon hearing this, "My brother looks like me! Uncle also said my brother looks like me!"
This seemed to be a particularly proud matter for Ding Baobei.
The hundred-day banquet was very lively, almost everyone in the capital circle who knew Ding Long came, and even if someone couldn’t make it, they sent a gift through someone else. After the banquet ended, Ding Jinshi took half a day just to sort out the gift list.
As Ding Long said, after that, he no longer spent most of his time on the company. In a year, he trained many capable assistants to help manage the company, and then he devoted his time to his family.
However, letting his own parents remain in prison still impacted him somewhat. Many people used unpleasant words to describe him, and even some of the Ding Family’s relatives cursed Ding Long for being unfilial at his company’s entrance, accusing him of abandoning his own parents just for a daughter, among other things.
But none of these matters reached Ding Jinshi; at least it was an anticipated outcome, and he bore it without much pressure.
Time flew by, and the twin little ones had learned to walk, learned to snatch toys and snacks from their sister Ding Baobei. Watching the three children play in the living room, Ding Long felt quite content embracing his beloved wife.
After all, Ding Baobei was just a little girl, with her own little temper. Being a girl, she also had her beloved dolls. When she came home to find her dolls torn apart and left in pieces all over the house by her two brothers, the Ding family’s Little Princess stood at her room’s door crying.
"Daddy! I don’t want brothers anymore! They’re so bad!" Ding Baobei was crying inconsolably. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"More than just bad, they’re downright ferocious." Ding Jinshi, rubbing her forehead a bit annoyed, gathered the pieces of her daughter’s doll and reassembled them before handing it back to her, "Tell your dad to scold the brothers, it’s outrageous, the sister spoils them so much, yet they gang up to bully her!"
Ding Jinshi’s headache was not just an act, the two sons were extremely mischievous, bullying their sister was a common thing; though they were only just over a year old, the little guys were incredibly speedy, running so fast even Nanny Xi couldn’t catch them, and they relished playing pranks and often bullied their sister.
"Ding Long, bring your two sons over to apologize to Baobei!" Ding Jinshi shouted at the three father and sons downstairs.
Hearing Ding Jinshi use the word "bring," Ding Long knew she was really angry today. He called the two brothers hiding behind the sofa while eating, "Second, Third, go upstairs and apologize to your sister!"
