Stealing The Crazy Yandere Lovers-Chapter 51: Trying to flirt with a mature woman backfires?
The afternoon sun shone right through the shop’s front windows, illuminating everything naturally inside.
Today was bound to be different, I had this gut feeling.
For some reason, Michelle didn’t go upstairs to take an afternoon nap and instead started helping me to clean the store.
She even occasionally clicked one or two of our selfies saying it’s a normal routine to promote a harmful working environment.
But after clicking our pics, she seemed to be excitedly fiddling with her phone.
I tried to look it over and was shocked- She was sending it to her online friend boasting about how she could pose with an internet celebrity.
Watching me trying to spy on her, she puffed up her chest saying- It’s a woman thing I won’t understand.
Of course, I do understand, better than her-
Pride and vanity; the natural inherent qualities a woman wants to show off.
"Hey Elandor?"
Michelle’s voice was soft.
It surely carried something else, I couldn’t yet decipher.
"Hmmm?"
I nodded my head.
"Want a cup of coffee?"
"Sure!"
There was no reason to refuse.
As she started the coffee machine, her mouth opened.
"When I sent our selfie to my friend, she was shell-shocked."
"It felt so good to boast to others."
I just patiently listened to her rhetoric.
Then she continued.
"My friend said, your video has already gotten more than 50 million views."
Michelle’s voice was calm, but I was inwardly sweating.
Damn~
More than 50 million views? My dream to live a low-key life is completely shattered.
I wanted to cry in grief.
"So?"
Passing me the cup of hot coffee, she exclaimed.
"Is there something you want to confess?"
"?????"
I gave a blank face not understanding what she meant.
"About how good your singing talent actually is, you could have given me a heads up while interviewing for the job?"
Michele spoke slowly.
"People are just exaggerating online."
I raised my hands in surrender.
Michelle just got up and walked behind me, wiping off a shelf containing some antique pieces.
There was a pause before she spoke again.
"Elandor, I watched your videos."
"All of them."
As she was cleaning a painting, her lips parted slowly,
"There’s this one where you sing a song about youth."
"You looked different in it."
"Huh? How?"
I was also filled with curiosity.
"You were composed, your face gave a feeling as if you were much more mature than your age."
"More confident than anyone I have seen in their youth, how do I say?"
"A bit daring yet full of vicissitudes of life."
Michele mesmerised her perspective.
"And those girls in the background of your video."
I knew she was talking about Claire, Asuna and others at the birthday party.
"Even though I couldn’t understand much about your relationship, I felt you didn’t care about them."
"It was like even when you were with so many people you seemed alone, singing on that stage."
Her words caught me by surprise, her understanding ability was top-notch, just by watching a video, she almost learned the truth.
Yeah, I was pretending to be a fake boyfriend at that party, but I was sure my acting was flawless.
But still, she arrived at such a conclusion? What a crazy stalking ability.
"People act differently when they are alone like you said."
I replied nonchalantly.
My words were a direct affirmation of her previous doubts.
I never liked lying unless necessary, since she had realised something, better just answer her to kill her curiosity.
"So you are really alone in life?"
This time it wasn’t a question but something entirely else, her tone was filled with sympathy, soft yet trying to intrude into a corner of my life.
Mature women are dangerous with their words, I realised this at this moment.
I stood there silently, not wanting to answer her any further.
Finally, not hearing any response from me, Michelle turned around and crossed her arms,
"You are really a strange fellow."
"Thank you!"
I just nodded at her.
"It is not a compliment."
She shot back
"For me, it is!"
There was another round of silence, but this time I was the one to break it.
"That’s why I don’t talk much to others about my abilities and stuff, they start treating me differently."
Hearing me, Michelle felt provoked,
"Am I treating you differently now?"
"Are you not?"
I looked straight into her eyes making her speechless.
Michelle puffed her cheeks before angrily sitting on the stool beside me.
"Fine, fine you win!"
She snorted in dismay.
"So what happens now that I am so popular, will you fire me?"
I asked her what was bugging me the most.
"Fire you?"
"Why would I?"
Michelle scoffed.
"In fact, I should be happy with this development."
"More customers will come to watch you, who knows?"
"The business will surely be good.
Michelle expressed her thoughts.
"This sounds like harassment."
I felt irritated.
"Hehe!"
There it was.
Her melodious magnetic laughter.
That mature playful ambiguous laughter is confusing you about what she really meant.
It wasn’t a normal talk, but words so precise leaving you full of ambiguity. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"I am thinking about it."
"How can a seductress like you stay single, boys really had no eyes that they left an attractive lady like you alone."
"But it’s good."
"Now that my boss is all alone, and can be admired by my eyes only."
This time I took the initiative and changed the tone of the conversation.
I playfully flirted with her.
Spit~
Michelle coughed out the sips of coffee she had just drunk.
I hurriedly took the hot cup from her hand and passed her a handkerchief.
With glaring eyes, she yelled at me.
"Elandor, I am older!"
"Older enough to be your mother, mind your words."
"What a bold boy!"
"I will pretend you never said those words, but if there’s a next time, then don’t blame me!"
With a hateful shout, she decisively left the room and went upstairs.
"What a grumpy woman, you have been eating my head for so long, I just flirted a little and you got so pissed?"
