Stealing The Crazy Yandere Lovers-Chapter 54: Continuous Grind
It was so vivid that when I woke up, my chest felt warm, as if the happiness had followed me into the sunlight.
In the dream, I was not the fragile, overlooked boy who spent his school days hiding at the back of the class and flinching whenever someone called his name. No, I was reborn.
I opened my eyes in a luxurious bedroom larger than this entire old house. Soft curtains fluttered, and sunlight poured through crystal-framed windows. A soft chime sounded as the smart-assistant welcomed him, "Good morning, Young Master Elandor."
Young Master.
The words felt unreal.
I walked to the mirror, half afraid the reflection would still be the timid boy I once was, but no. My posture was straight, my eyes confident, and I carried the graceful aura of someone who had never known oppression. My hair was neatly styled, my skin smooth, and I wore a designer watch that gleamed with quiet pride.
Downstairs, the mansion was alive with warmth. The butler bowed respectfully. The maids greeted him with genuine smiles, not fear or flattery. My parents- people who in the real world had struggled all their lives—were now elegant, youthful, and overflowing with affection. My mother hugged me tightly, her voice trembling with joy.
"You deserve everything good in this world, Elandor."
My father placed a firm hand on my shoulder. "Today, we’ll introduce you to the company. You’ll inherit a legacy built not just with wealth, but with purpose."
But what surprised me the most wasn’t the luxury, it was the freedom.
I drove a sleek car not for the thrill, but for the feeling of strength in my hands. I attended a university where people respected me, not because of my background, but because I was kind, hardworking, and quietly brilliant. I spoke confidently during presentations, helped shy classmates, and even led a student project that impressed the entire business department.
And somewhere along the way, friendships bloomed naturally—real friendships, not the shallow ones built on status. People liked me for who I was.
One scene in the dream stood out vividly: Me sitting on the rooftop of the university library. A gentle breeze brushed his hair as a girl—soft-spoken, intelligent, with eyes full of warmth, sat beside me.
"You know," she said softly, "you look like someone who’s finally living the life he deserves."
I laughed quietly. "Do I? I used to be so weak... so invisible."
"But not anymore," she whispered. "Now you shine."
Her words filled his heart with a satisfaction deeper than wealth. For the first time, I felt whole.
The dream ended with me standing on the balcony of his mansion at night, city lights stretching out like a constellation. I wasn’t just rich. I wasn’t just strong.
I was fulfilled.
I had become the version of myself I always wished to be, confident, loving, capable, and surrounded by people who truly cherished me.
The sun shone brightly as I opened my eyes.
It was another day that had begun.
"Hmmm!"
"The night was good, I even had a happy dream where I became a rich second generation and enjoyed countless bliss."
This was the life I was perhaps chasing.
Yawns~
With half-opened eyes, I slowly got out of bed.
While brushing his teeth, he habitually checked his phone.
"Huh?"
"So many new friend requests from unknown accounts?"
Feeling suspicious, I did a little deeper.
As I increased the depth of the investigation, I realised, things were more than what they appeared on the surface.
"All these are new accounts which were made just a few hours back?"
Immediately I realised it, because I had blocked Beatrix’s main account, she made new accounts to contact me.
But I can’t be fooled by her little tricks.
"Beatrix, the games you are playing, I played them when I was a little kid."
I snorted.
But with this incident, I found one remarkable thing, currently I can only use my simulation ability once a day, and that too depending on my power level.
In the earlier simulation I died early so I didn’t find it strange, but from the information I inferred, if the simulation lasts for much longer duration, then it will abruptly end once my soul power is used up.
Having this new understanding, I nodded repeatedly.
But why is this system trying to ask again and again about my new talent?
In the end, I can only be more careful.
After that, I simply deleted all those new friend requests sent by Beatrix before dressing up for school.
Since my refrigerator was full of fruits, eating some alongside a glass of milk was more than enough to charge me for the day.
Looking at the watch on my wrist, the time was still 6 am.
"It’s the perfect day to start a new job."
As someone who is always bringing from 6 in the morning to 5 in evening, it was time for me to take up my new job.
I found it in an online advertisement.
The job was simple- to deliver newspapers.
In this freezing cold at so early in the morning, hardly anyone applied for the job, giving me an easy chance to grab this opportunity.
"Good, once I get this new part time job, my income will be enough to have a decent savings."
I readily dressed up and walked towards the newspaper printing building which was only a 10-12 minutes walk away from my home.
People might think that trivial jobs like delivering newspapers, cleaning toilets, making roads are indecent and beneath their dignity, but they forget that in this modern age, with everyone having big aspirations, since no one is willing to do these so-called trivial jobs, the one who can actually do them can earn a handsome amount.
The scarier a talent is the more it is sought.
I quickly arrived at a three storey building.
With the big words- The Chazgarh Press written at the forefront, I knew I was at the right place.
The door of the front office was open, so I decisively entered inside.
"Why is there no one here for this job?"
"How are we supposed to deliver all these newspapers?"
"It’s not my fault, I simply put the advertisement, you yourself said that people will come on their own, and now there’s no one."
"Don’t pin the blame on me!"
From inside, voices of two men arguing furiously back and forth can be heard.
As soon as I went in, the sound of the door being pushed open forced the two burly figures to look at me.
At the same time, their eyes shone with an unconcealed excitement.
Both of them looked at each other and gave each other a knowing smile before turning back to me.
"Young man, I am the boss here, named Minar."
The taller man spoke hastily.
"Yes, you must be here for the job of newspaper boy, right?"
"You came at the right time boy, you don’t need an interview, you are hired."
"The salary is as advertised- 100$ a month."
The other shorter guy spoke arrogantly.
I didn’t like his attitude.
You are already short of people and still trying to put such a tough face.
But looking at the taller guy, just standing quietly with his arms crossed, I knew he acquiesced to his subordinate’s behaviour.
Even if we can bend, one must never let go of his pride when faced with such a situation.
Moreover, judging from their earlier argument, it was clear they were short of people.
This was my perfect change to take advantage of them.
So I began my carefully orchestrated soap-opera.
"Actually, I just came here on a whim."
"Even though I am short of money, I felt the salary offered was too little."
"Although I am ready to do this job, as long as the salary can be negotiated properly according to my needs, I am more than welcome."
It was time to put an action to my recently-brewed plan.
"Young man, 100$ is already a good amount."
"Don’t push your luck."
"We can easily find someone else, this job doesn’t need any skilled labour."
The shorter guy once again exclaimed with disdain.
Okay~
This was it!
This attitude of his touched my ego.
First, you are short of people, second you are behaving like this as if wanting to shoo me away.
"Fine, it seems you don’t want me here."
"You can find someone else for this amount."
With a strong reply, I also turned around and started to walk towards the exit.
We are not here for charity, what’s there to be afraid of?
Seeing my action, both of the guys panicked.
They were probably waiting for so long, but no one came.
If Elandor left, they might really be in trouble.
"Wait, wait!"
"Young people are too energetic and straight forward."
"We can discuss the details."
The tall boss hurriedly chased after me, and held my hand.
From the corner of his eyes, he glared back at his subordinate who ridiculed Elandor earlier.
