Seeing that the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer really made no move, Daknis held a gun in his left hand and pressed it against the back of Little Dimock's head, made a motion to attack with his right hand donned in a red sleeve, and then gradually stepped back into the bushes.

He also knew that he must not involve more people.

In this situation, Shard could do nothing but consider the potential repercussions of the incident, then cast a sidelong glance at the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer from the Church of Creation.

Noticing Shard's gaze, Mr. Pirot whispered in explanation:

"The person is a cultist from Coldwater Port, you might have heard about the recent uproar over the Coldwater Shadow Incident."

"Yes, Priest Augustus mentioned it to me, it seems related to the worship of mermaids."

Shard whispered back, observing the somewhat crumbling Little Dimock being pulled into the rose bushes by Daknis. Since this place was not the main venue of the courtyard banquet, the light was very dim, and coupled with the fog from the surrounding fireworks and flower stands, the two of them were practically out of Shard's sight.

"Not mermaids, mermen... It's not important, Mr. Hamilton, stay here and don't move, I'll come back for you shortly."

Saying this, Mr. Pirot quickly walked towards the rose bushes. Despite his robust build, he moved almost silently. In the mist, it only took a moment for him to disappear from sight, and Shard didn't even hear him rustling through the bushes.

[Will you stay put?]

"What do you think?"

Shard pulled a small bottle from his pocket and dropped some Wind Vane Bluegrass Extract on his tongue:

"Using Magic Spellcraft will leave traces of elements, I can't get too close to them. Besides, I can only take action once, otherwise my identity will definitely be revealed."

[Outlander, what exactly do you intend to do by following them? There's a Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer present, there's no need for you.]

"I just want to obtain a drop of Daknis's blood," he said.

He remembered his standing position, then tiptoed closer to the rose bushes as well.

Behind the rose bushes was a small path through the courtyard's bushes. Although all three individuals had disappeared, one end of the path led toward the axial direction of Yordle Palace, and the other continued towards the perimeter, ending at a glass greenhouse, so Shard chose to head towards the direction of the glass greenhouse.

Pulling a mask puppet from his pocket, he restored it to its normal size, put it on his face, and changed the rag doll coat into real clothing over his formal attire. Though it was so dark here that disguise was unnecessary, Shard still preferred to play it safe.

He hadn't walked many steps when he saw a glimmer of light emanating from the glass house. Bending over and holding his breath, Shard approached the back of the greenhouse and saw the unconscious Little Dimock lying on the stone path that curved towards the entrance of the greenhouse. After checking, he confirmed that the boy had only passed out.

"Has the fight started?"

Shard thought, using the flowerpots planted with seedlings outside the greenhouse as cover, he approached the glass wall and carefully looked inside.

It was pitch dark inside, and he could only make out two shadows entangled together. One of them, strikingly, was Daknis whose right half of the body had turned into a mass of Human Pus, and his opponent, Mr. Sari Pirot, the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer, had a similarly swollen right hand.

The glass roof scattered moonlight, barely allowing weak light into the greenhouse. Mr. Pirot's swollen right hand, under the cold trichrome moonlight, revealed a strange brass metallic luster. That metallic right hand colliding with the black pus-covered giant hand created an eerily bizarre scene in the silent yet raucous night.

Shard once thought that Daknis's "Human Pus Form" was unrivaled, but that arm, embellished with Divine Runes and steaming with high-temperature steam, was actually able to compete in strength with Human Pus.

Neither used Magic Spellcraft that might produce massive light or sound; instead, they relied more on physical strength to compete. The thermal glass house suppressed some of the sound, letting out only intermittent dull thumping sounds.

Shard stared intently at the scene; although Mr. Pirot was not as strong as Daknis, his metallic lustrous right hand coupled with the left hand that could wield Divine Arts, gradually overpowered Daknis in a low-intensity fight.

The latter also realized the situation was turning unfavorable for him, and after blocking a Light Bullet from Mr. Pirot's Divine Arts with his tree-root-like giant right arm, he swept his colossal right arm across the ground, causing flower pots and shelves to surge forward.

As Mr. Pirot pushed forward with his left hand like parting the sea, clearing the debris, Daknis suddenly raised his right arm, revealing his face from behind his swollen right side:

"Ugh!"

He actually vomited, and black, horrific pus shot out from his mouth that was stretched nearly to the point of tearing his lips.

Because there was no light in the greenhouse, Shard couldn't clearly see the trajectory of the black pus, but he saw Mr. Pirot rapidly retreat while using his mechanical right arm as a shield.

If that was merely a pollutant, Mr. Pirot's action was right, but unfortunately, it was Human Pus.

The Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer remained in a defensive posture, stiff and frozen for two seconds, then his clothes began to wriggle as if coming to life, quickly wrapping around his head. No, it wasn't the clothes, but the black pus that had contaminated his body and rapidly absorbed the power of emotions before coming alive, wrapping around him like a black spider.

The foul terrifying scent and the visceral fear confirmed it was the pus of Human Pus. The dark emotions and mental states of humanity, like a festering boil, grew until they erupted in poisonous venom—that was Human Pus.

"He underestimated his opponent too much..."

The Twelve Rings Witch was caught off guard and infected by Human Pus, forced to sink into the seabed and abandon the pursuit. Shard did not know whether Miss Hevy Aurora or the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer was stronger, but Mr. Pirot's "Human Pus Resistance" was clearly no better than that of the witch who possessed two systems of Mysticism.

Seeing Mr. Pirot entangled, Daknis did not think this would be enough to kill a Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer, and instead turned and ran.

Shard clutched the brooch in his pocket with the Sun Holy Emblem, but he ultimately did not use it. The Sunlight Gun would have its power weakened in a nighttime environment, and the noise it made was simply too conspicuous.

He looked towards the other exit of the greenhouse and quickly slipped the Demon Hunter Seal and Mind Crystal Ring, respectively, onto his left and right hands.

Squinting towards Daknis's figure, to pass through the greenhouse exit, his body had reverted to that of a normal human. The moment Daknis, distracted by the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer wrapped in "Human Pus," started pushing the greenhouse's glass door—

"Lagre's Leap!"

Silently, at the moment Daknis pushed open the glass door of the greenhouse, when his mind was most relaxed, Shard appeared right behind him.

First, his right fist struck out quickly:

"Psychic Shockwave!"

Pure Spirit elements of silver Desecration flowed from his arm to the ring, the three crystals on the ring illuminated simultaneously, and just as Shard's fist was about to hit the back of Daknis's head, the Arcane Technique triggered an explosion inside the opponent's mind.

At that moment, Shard could feel the strength of his opponent's mind, like a pitch-dark and strange mountain, but the sudden explosion still caused a moment of disorientation:

"Demon Hunter Seal!"

After smashing his right fist into the back of Daknis's head, his left fist followed through. The Demon Hunter Seal, as the fist touched the back of Daknis's head, made a sharp scream from Daknis's right palm, which was not yet covered by gloves, almost shattering the glass of the greenhouse.

Billowing dark smoke emanated from where the Seal touched Daknis, who in severe pain and instinctive panic, finally broke free from the effects of the "Psychic Shockwave."

But Shard did not give him a chance to turn around and see him.

The left fist pulled back, the right fist stretched out, right fist retracted followed by a flurry of strikes with the left fist. The reason for wearing two rings on separate hands was to allow one fist to recharge while the other could still be effective.

The attacks of "Psychic Shockwave" and "Demon Hunter Seal" cycled three times. Battling through intense pain and mental disarray, Daknis finally managed to turn around.

With anger and panic, he lifted his right hand and his palm screamed as it aimed directly at Shard's masked face.

By then, five seconds remained in the ten-second cycle of "Lagre's Leap," and from previous experience, retreating would not allow him to break free from the suction of that mouth.

So Shard did not dodge but instead, as his opponent's palm mouth opened wide, thrust his left fist, bearing the Demon Hunter Seal, straight into that terrifying demonic mouth:

"Moonlight Greatsword!"

"Ah!"

The darkness inside the Demon Mouth, which seemed capable of dissolving everything, caused Shard's left hand's skin to peel and flesh to rot away, but it did not immediately dissolve the hand wearing the ring.

As billowing black smoke rose from the Demon Mouth, a Two-Handed Greatsword pierced from Daknis's right palm to his wrist, merging with his right arm as though they were one.

He screamed in agony, grabbing Shard with his left hand, trying to drag him into a black vortex that had appeared behind them at some point.

But Shard knew that the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer was defeated because he was unfamiliar with the opponent's fighting style, and his own advantage came from a surprise attack and targeted preparation. Continuing the fight, Shard was unable to defeat his opponent. So while both staggered back, "Lagre's Leap" reached its tenth second, and Shard once again vanished into thin air.

Daknis did not bother to look for this dishonest assailant, stepping into the dark vortex, then falling from another vortex amid the underbrush nearby. He used his Mysticism Talent "Darkness" for Spatial Movement, though its maximum distance was shorter than Shard's.

Within moments, this Six Rings Magician disappeared into the night within the Yordle Palace garden. Just as Daknis fled, Shard reemerged from the underbrush and dove onto the ground where they had fought, using Sorcery "Move Object" to draw blood from the ground into a vial in his left hand.

After pocketing the vial and rolling on the ground, he again disappeared into the rose bushes. Accompanied by the rustling of the rose bushes, Shard's figure also vanished under the moonlight.

About thirty seconds later, Mr. Pirot, his body covered in web-like black marks, emerged from the greenhouse, raising his hand to the sky, a bright Light Trace soared, then exploded into gold fireworks in the night sky.

Five minutes later, King Larus III suddenly made an appearance and announced that tonight's birthday celebration was ending early.

Ten minutes later, Silver Cross Avenue was completely closed off and a curfew was imposed for the evening.
