STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 101: Invasion reports’ reactions
City C, Night Family:
City Governor Ron was in his study. He was reading the reports coming from the office. It was a report about the corrupted beast invasion.
Ron had a grave expression on his face. As a City Governor, he knew of this information way before the ordinary public.
But even he was surprised by the sudden invasion this morning. He had thought, like other City Governors, that it would take at least a month or so before the actual invasion happened.
Otherwise, he would have informed his own son about this. The report in his hand talked about the current situation there.
The waves of Tier-1 and Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts had been thoroughly destroyed. Now they were fighting Tier-3 and Tier-4 Beasts. The Captains were dealing with the Tier-5 Beast.
Ron’s expression grew darker. He knew how impossible the current situation was. Only the Tier-3 and Tier-4 Beast Tamers could handle the Tier-3 and Tier-4 Beasts.

But he was not worried about them. He was worried about the First and Second Years. He knew his son was also conscripted.
"Jeremy," Ron uttered in a sad tone.
Creak!
The door opened. The next second, Nora walked in with a worrisome expression.
"What happened?"
"Is there any update?" Nora asked.
She was aware of her son’s conscription.
"Jeremy is doing fine," Ron said.
He didn’t want her to worry.
Nora saw through his thoughts and replied, "I have been watching the live updates as well. Tier-5 Beasts have entered the battlefield."
"Captains are fighting against these beasts right now," she added.
"Don’t worry, the Tier-5 Beasts won’t get past the Captains. Even if some of them escape, the Commanders will take care of it," Ron assured his wife.
Both of them were Tier-5 Beast Tamers. They knew the horror of the Tier-5 Beasts. A single Tier-5 Beast could destroy their current city.
Nora calmed down. She was a veteran as well. No one could help them in this situation unless the City A Governors defeated the Corrupted Beasts commanding them.
...
Central University 14:
Dean Carolyn was getting live updates as well. She even saw some footage. Unfortunately, there were casualties.
She saw how the City Governors acted. If they had delayed any longer in going to the wilderness, she might have made a complaint against them.
The only way to end this battle was to kill the mastermind behind the corrupted beasts.
Now they had gone to the wilderness. She couldn’t help but wonder what was going on there right now.
"I hope it’s just a Tier-6 or Tier-7 Beast," she muttered to herself.
But if the commander turned out to be a Tier-8 Corrupted Beast, then they might have to seek help from the Human Alliance.
Her eyes flashed with a glint.
...
City A:
The Department Instructors were fighting against the Tier-4 Beasts as well. Initially, they were minding their own business. But when the casualties started to appear,
The Department Instructors stepped in.
Instructor Jacob was keeping an eye on Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone. Both of them had done well against the Tier-1 Corrupted Beast.
But when it came to the Tier-2 Beasts, they struggled to defeat them. Betsy’s sharp nails were not strong enough to break the scales of the Tier-2 Beasts.
Similarly, he saw that Daniel Stone’s Indestructible Jaws couldn’t hurt the Tier-2 Beast.
Jacob realized that they had few rivals in the same rank. But they were helpless against the Tier-2 Beast.
Whereas he noticed the performance of Jeremy Night. Not only him, the other department instructors were pleased with his performance.
The First Year Department Instructors were all aware of his combat prowess. They had witnessed his Tier-3 Grounded Snake kill count back during the Department Ranking Competition.
But here, everyone had the opportunity to witness it in reality. In front of their eyes, Jeremy Night effortlessly slayed a Tier-3 Beast.
When it came to Tier-1 and Tier-2 Beasts, he killed those beasts more like cutting out weeds.
Jacob also saw how Commander Harris had rescued Jeremy from the attack of a Tier-4 Beast. Thinking about it, he revealed a smile.
He hoped that Jeremy Night had learned his lesson. For a Tier-1 Beast Tamer, his current achievements were already shocking.
But it was something credible because of Jeremy’s talent. So people didn’t think it was something that overturned their cognition.
Everyone had also noticed Jeremy’s white energy ability. Everyone suspected it came from Jeremy’s lifeline beast.
So he thought people were convinced of Jeremy Night’s strength.
On the other hand, the people who were more shocked were the Second, Third, and Fourth Year Department Instructors.
They had never taken the reemergence of the Striker Department seriously. They had assumed Dean Carolyn was wasting time and resources.
But they changed their view after witnessing Jeremy Night’s strength. Even some of their 2nd and 3rd year students wouldn’t be able to kill a Tier-3 Beast effortlessly. Yet Jeremy Night was doing that.
Suddenly,
Everyone began to feel the threat from the Striker Department. If the Striker Department grew, a share of resource distribution would be given to them as well.
Now these Department Instructors were worried about the year-end reports.
...
Betsy and Daniel Stone were fighting against the Tier-3 Beast with the help of their team. The leader of their team is looking for a way to kill the Tier-3 Beast.
Time passed,
The leader struck a heavy blow to the Tier-3 Beast, thereby ending its life.
Betsy gasped for breath. To deal with a single Tier-3 Beast, it had taken effort from their entire team.
She couldn’t help but recall what was happening with Jeremy Night. She was aware that Jeremy Night was capable of killing Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to witness it with her own eyes.
On the other hand, it was the same with Daniel Stone. He was helping his team to kill the Tier-3 Beast. The Third Year senior of theirs killed the Tier-3 Corrupted Beast in the end.
