STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 718: Hot spring recovery

City A, 5th Zone

Jeremy Night, along with the other Beast Tamers, entered the city. While walking through the gate earlier, he didn’t forget to notice the expression of the guards.

They were petrified as well. He was once again thrilled to escape from the clutches of the terrifying bird-type beasts.

Upon getting inside, he immediately approached the cabs parked in the area. But the cab drivers themselves were scared. Everyone near the gate had heard the terrifying bird cry earlier.

Swoosh!

Just as he was thinking about convincing them, he saw a few silhouettes flying past high in the sky.

"City Governors!" one of the cab drivers shouted.

Hearing that, Jeremy understood. The Eagle Beast retreated because of them; otherwise, it would have entered the city. To think it was bold enough to get near the city!

Jeremy knew that only bird-type beasts could do this act. Only they can escape in the sky. He then collected his thoughts.

He said, "Governors have taken action. I don’t think we have to be worried. There is no threat to the city."

Hearing that, the cab drivers were somewhat convinced because it was not the first time they were facing a situation like this.

There were events in the past where a single corrupted beast tried to probe the strength of the city, and the governors would drive it away.

They thought it was the same this time. So, one of the drivers agreed to work.

Jeremy told him his destination. He wanted to go to the Beast Taming Association. The drivers understood that these Beast Tamers were coming from the wilderness.

If they didn’t take customers, it would be their loss. So, other cab drivers immediately acted and started receiving other customers.

Jeremy sat in the back seat of the middle-aged man’s cab. Shortly afterwards, the cab departed. He quickly reached the place. Jeremy didn’t have time to appreciate the view.

His adrenaline rush was still high. He had been calming down his nerves.

The Flying Eagle Beast had made him run so far, so much so that both of his legs were hurting. As the car landed in the parking lot, he stepped out and paid the fare to the driver.

Jeremy then thanked the driver before going towards the building. Soon, he rushed to the mission submission hall.

Inside, everyone was talking about the flying bird beast from earlier. The Beast Tamers were scared about the flying-type Corrupted Beasts.

Even a Tier-7 Bird Beast can cause problems for the city. Imagine if they had elemental or other abilities to attack; they could rain down attacks from the sky.

He was trying to calm his nerves, but these people were uttering nonsense and making it worse.

Only when his turn came did he feel better than before. He was in the city; it was a safe environment. His senses returned to normal.

When the staff asked about the mission, he started telling them the mission number and the description.

The male staff then confirmed the identity and the mission details. Then, the staff asked about the materials.

Hearing that, Jeremy handed over the treasure plants. The male staff then asked his colleague to help out. Both of them went through the different treasure plants.

They knew the nature of the mission. It is difficult to collect the exact plant materials mentioned in the description.

It could take some people more than the mission day limit; that’s why there was some room for acceptance.

As long as there are enough materials, the Beast Tamers can return midway. There is no need for them to wait until the end of the mission.

Just then, everyone heard about the bird cry attack from the Flying Bird Beasts. It was reported that many of the Beast Tamers fainted on the spot outside the wilderness.

Some of them were injured inside the city. It showed that bird-type beasts were pure terror. They thought it was possible for the Beast Tamer to return midway due to this reason.

It didn’t take long for them to count the plants. There were more than a hundred different treasure plants. It was more than enough for the mission conclusion.

Both staff looked at the young beast tamer again. They wondered where he came from. Upon seeing the uniform of the Red Moon Chamber, they were surprised.

They knew it was a recently grown force and hadn’t expected it to have good Beast Tamers. After the report was submitted, they told Jeremy Night that rewards would be credited soon.

Jeremy then left the association. He didn’t leave for the organization immediately; he needed a place to rest and relax.

He knew there was a hot spring nearby. It was located inside a company that offered spa treatments.

Jeremy made a decision and went to that place. 10 minutes later, he walked into the building and approached the staff. He made an inquiry before paying.

He was then led to a private room which had a small pond. The hot water from the spring went through the pond as well. Jeremy was impressed. He entered the pond and began to relax. A wave of comfort washed over him.

He closed his eyes and began to observe. He found that the hot water contained natural energy as well. His body was absorbing it automatically. He was not surprised.

He was glad he made the decision to come here. He didn’t have to run his breathing method for recovery; the inner healing method itself could handle the stress and muscle relief.

But this time, he preferred getting relief from this small pond.

As time went by, the muscle stress disappeared from the body. He opened his eyes. His gaze fell on the pond water. He wondered where the main source was located.

The hot spring was effective. He was not tense anymore. His senses were working normally, no longer in a heightened state. One hour later, he had recovered well, and Jeremy Night left the place.
