Strongest Demigod System-Chapter 46: The Anomaly
The rooms continued in this manner. All demigods that decided to come to Divine Academy had one form of combat-based God Aspect or another from their celestial guardian, and the school had provided a room where they would be able to build resistance to using their God Aspect.
A room held all the children of Poseidon, who had God Aspects related to water. The room was completely filled with water, and the demigods had been thrown in there without any form of breathing apparatus. The only way they could get a breath was for them to follow a maze toward an opening on the other side of the room, where a small slit was opened to allow them to take in air. As each demigod passed the test, the maze was going to get more and more complex. This way, the demigod literally had to feel for the water's movement in order to tell where the opening was.

Wouldn't the demigods die if they couldn't find the opening?
Of course, they would.
But that was also part of the test.
Demigods could hold their breath for far longer than humans, so they wouldn't die just from a few minutes underwater. If things got out of control, then Scar had a way to deal with that too.
Beside the children of Poseidon, all the demigods with heat and fire-based blessings were going through hell.
Inside their room was like they were at the center of a volcano! The heat was so unbearable that Scar could literally see heat waves moving across the room. On the opposite side of the room were a few bottles of water that would give the demigods some reprieve from the heat. But in order to get to it, the demigods would have to fight against resistance bands that were tied to their backs and holding them to the wall. They were literally losing energy the further they went, and if they allowed the heat to stop them even for a second, then they were going to be pulled all the way back to the starting line.
The water was their lifeline, but also their doom.
Scar watched as Henry, the strongest child of Helios in their year, forced himself forward like a man on a mission. Henry was bulky, and he had more power than the other demigods in the room, so he was far ahead of them, and he was able to get to the table where the water was after only a few minutes and grab one of them.
Henry looked back and saw that many of the other children were still far away, and Scar smiled when he saw Henry taking another bottle of water and chugging that too. This made the other demigods realize what was going on, and they began to struggle even more to try and get to the other side of the room before Henry could drink all the water!
This was going to teach them to be more competitive, so Scar didn't do anything and instead turned to another room where all the demigods with strength-based blessings were going through their own special version of hell.
A gravity room.
Scar still remembered how impossibly difficult it was for him to use this room when he was a student. But that was only because he wasn't a child of Ares with stupidly high physical stats like the rest. But even with all the exercises that Scar was putting the other children through, Scar knew that this one was the most difficult.
[One.]
"ONE!"
[Two.]
"TWO!"
[Three.]
"THREE!"
The demigods in the room were all on their hands, doing push-ups. On their backs, they were carrying special bags with weights inside them. Each bag had one hundred kilos printed on it to show what they were all carrying, and the screen on the other side of the room showed that the room was currently exerting three G's on the students. That was three times the gravity that they experienced in the real world.
The simulation AI was counting up for the students, and when they got to one hundred, they would switch exercises. Today, they were only going to be experiencing three and four G's, but their weights were going to continue increasing until they were carrying two hundred kilos in four G's. It was going to be hell for these kids.
Scar allowed his eyes to finally train toward the one odd student in his class that he had the most trouble categorizing.
Azrael Mortis was sweating as he carried one hundred kilos on his back and worked out with the other strength-based demigods.
As someone without a God Aspect, Scar had to think for a long time about what he was supposed to do with Azrael Mortis. Azrael was blessed by Thanatos, and there were no special rooms in the school that would allow children of Thanatos to train, but that would only be a problem if Azrael had a God Aspect in the first place.
Not having a God Aspect meant that there was nothing for Azrael to train. It was like having a special jug with holes all over it. It looked nice, but there was nothing it could hold on the inside.
Finally, after a long time of thinking, Scar decided that since the jug couldn't hold anything on the inside, wouldn't it be better for him to just polish the jug and make it the best-looking jug out there?
Azrael might not have any God Aspect, but if there was one thing he was very good at using, it was his mortal body.
Scar had heard the rumors about Azrael and how he was able to keep up with other Kings in their year in terms of mortal body ranking. In time, it would not be as useful since the Kings would develop strong God Aspects and they would all surpass him. But in terms of mortal ranking, Scar decided that he would make it so that Azrael could be the fucking best.
That way, even though Azrael was seriously handicapped in the future, he would still be able to put up a bit of a fight against his classmates. If Scar just left things as they were and allowed Azrael to fight against any of his classmates in the future, then they were going to end up with an accidental murder on his hands.
Even with this, it was still not going to be enough to make Azrael survive through the entire three years in Demigod Academy, but Scar was a teacher, not a miracle worker, and it was his job to try and bring out the best in his students, regardless of what they were blessed or cursed with. He would try his best for Azrael no matter what.
But as Scar watched the students working out, he furrowed his brow as he saw some of the children blessed by Ares almost falling to the ground each time they pushed up. There was a tiredness present in their bodies, and each one of them was feeling the weight of the intense gravity, but Azrael was not the same. Azrael also looked like he was struggling, but he was obviously doing far better than the other students.
Scar brought up a tablet, and he looked through all the information about the students in the gravity room, he then hummed when he saw that Azrael had accumulated more than three times the amount of hours that the other students had in the gym. That meant that not only did Azrael work out for longer, but he went there for more days as well.
It didn't matter how good your talent was if you didn't put it to work.
