After class ended, Azrael went to seek out Maddison again.

This time, he went to Maddison's class and waited at her door as the students chattered amongst each other.

B Class was very similar to A class in design, but there was an obvious difference in the atmosphere from the students.

Scar had given the students in A class a completely traumatizing experience on their first day, exposing them to a reality that was far worse than what they envisioned for themselves, so there was no excessive laughter or happiness.

The students were focused on trying to improve themselves and make sure that they could keep up with the regime that Scar was putting them through.

In this class, on the other hand, the students seemed a lot more relaxed and jovial.

There was an atmosphere of friendliness, and some of the students were even gathered on the opposite side of the room, playing a holographic racing game on their phones.

It was a little surprising, and also irritating to see.

Azrael thanked all his stars that he had been put in Scar's class. If he somehow ended up in this class, then he was sure he would have gone mad from the excess dopamine.

"Yo, what are you doing in this class, reject? Get out of the way."

A boy was passing beside Azrael, and he bumped Azrael's shoulder to try and push him to the ground, but the boy ended up stumbling and almost falling to the ground from how powerful Azrael's stance was.

Azrael just turned to glance at the shocked boy nonchalantly, and the boy scoffed to try and hide his embarrassment as he left with his laughing friends.

"Isn't that Azrael? What's he doing here?"

"He looks completely different from before. Has he been working out even more?"

"Hey, did you see the class rankings recently? I heard from one of my friends in A class that he's at the top of their ranking."

"What? I thought he was only the Class Captain of the class. He was also on top of the ranking?"

"How in the world is he at the top of the ranking when he doesn't even have a God Aspect?"

People were murmuring and glancing towards Azrael curiously as they wondered what he was doing there.

Azrael ignored all of them and turned to look for the person he had come there for.

Maddison's table was surrounded by a group of girls.

The girls were talking loudly and excitedly to Maddison, but Maddison didn't look like she was enjoying the conversation at all.

There was a frozen look on her face, and she had already picked up her bag to leave the class.

But the girls were blocking the path that Maddison would normally use to leave, making her stay in her seat.

In front of all these girls was the Vice-Captain of B class whom Azrael had met when they were doing the Captain introductions before, Rachael.

She held a mirror in her hand and was busy applying some eyeshadow while laughing at something one of her friends said.

Azrael narrowed his eyes in irritation as he realized what was happening.

They were trying to force Maddison into their group.

This was a common bully tactic.

The bullies would pretend like they were trying to be friends with you. They would chat with you and make you a part of their clique so that you could see what life was like on their side of the world.

Then, after a while, the tables would turn and they would start to treat you like a servant. They would send you on errands and even make you bring money to school so they could use it.

Azrael remembered when Francis tried to do this exact same thing to him when he was in middle school.

That was the incident that made Azrael and Francis such mortal enemies.

Because, unlike Maddison, Azrael didn't just sit there and allow them to discomfort him.

He threw the first punch and almost shattered Francis' jaw.

The days after that were filled with a lot of one-sided fights between Azrael and Francis' lackeys, as well as a sanction from the school that had him suspended for a month because he assaulted a fellow student.

Azrael didn't care about the suspension, and he didn't care about the fights.

If he didn't stand up for himself, then he was just going to be used for the rest of his life.

Azrael was no one's servant.

And now that same thing was happening in front of him. It pissed Azrael off that Maddison was just sitting there and allowing the bullies to do whatever they wanted to her, and he didn't even know when his legs carried him up the stairs and toward Maddison's seat.

The chatter of the girls slowly died out as they saw Azrael heading toward them with a mad scowl on his face, and Rachael snapped her mirror shut and gave Azrael the most condescending look she could manage.

It was like she was looking at shit under her shoes.

"What the fuck are you doing in our class? I didn't know wild animals were allowed into domestic places."

The other girls around her all snickered at the jab, but Azrael ignored her and turned to Maddison.

"We need to talk. Come on."

Azrael nodded his head towards the door to tell Maddison to come with him, and Maddison smiled and started to take her bag to leave, but she was stopped by Rachael's hand on her shoulder.

"I didn't know you were wild and deaf. Didn't you see that we were talking? What kind of man interrupts a conversation between the ladies? You're nothing but a classless creature, aren't you?"

Azrael reached out and grabbed Rachael's hand hard.

The constant insults and condescending looks were something that Azrael had trained himself to ignore from the people around him since he had been facing them for so long.

But that didn't mean he was just going to allow someone to talk to him like this.

"You better watch what you say to me."

Azrael glared at Rachael, and Rachael glared right back at him.

"What? Are you going to break my hand now like the wild animal you are? Leave it to a child of darkness to resort to violence even when I'm just trying to have a civil conversation. I suppose your lack of parents didn't do any good for your manners."

Azrael saw red and he pulled Rachael's hand away from Maddison's shoulder roughly before he almost raised his hand.

But he stopped himself and sighed as his training kicked in.

Azrael's constant meditations gave him far more control over his emotions so it was easy for him to calm himself.

Rachael was just trying to get a rise out of him. He couldn't reduce himself to her level because of simple words.

There were better times and places to put someone like Racheal down. Azrael just had to exercise cold logic.

Azrael calmed his heart with these words.

For a split second, Azrael had seen a look of fear pass through Rachael's eyes when he was about to hit her, but it wasn't long before she regained her defiant look!

Rachael glared at Azrael while pulling her hand hard enough to get out of Azrael's grip.
