Chapter 692: The Pills Are Complete!

Clack. Clack. Clack.

Han Yu simply opened the latches and lifted the lid. He waved his hand and pulled out the smooth red pill.

"Why do not take a look yourself?" Han Yu said with a faint smirk.

"The pill... the Soul Blood Mending Cursed Pill is completed!" the man erupted in joy. "Hahaha! It is really finished!"

It was not just him. The other alchemists were also overjoyed and began to laugh and cheer.

"Not so fast," Han Yu said, dousing their excitement. "We still have two more pills to complete."

"Already? You do not wish to rest, Honored Disciple?" Fatui Zhuwen asked in concern.

"You think this much is enough to tire out a disciple of the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect? I can do this ten times more," Han Yu said, acting like a proud disciple of the sect and maintaining his role.

"Of course. We were simply shortsighted," Fatui Zhuwen said quickly.

"Honored Disciple is truly a dragon among men."

"If I could reach even one percent of Honored Disciple’s level, I would be content in life," the alchemists began to praise him endlessly.

Still, they followed Han Yu’s instructions and brought the next set of materials for the Mother and Child Bestowal Pill.

While it was said to be two different pills, they were actually refined at the same time. The materials for them, though rare, were not as valuable as the previous ones, but there were two special ingredients.

"Bring the blood of the Patriarch and Zhushen," Han Yu ordered.

"Here it is, Honored Disciple," Zhuwen said as he presented two bowls of freshly extracted blood from his father and elder brother.

In order to make the pill, the key ingredient was the blood of the two individuals who would take it. This was how the pill would recognize them and bind itself to their bloodlines.

Han Yu poured both bowls of blood into the cauldron, then added the other ingredients. He refined the mixture for an hour before asking for the Soul Blood Mending Cursed Pill back.

"It is supposed to be like this, is it not?" Han Yu said as he held the pill over the surface of the mixture.

The process was strange, because the mixture needed to absorb a bit of the pill’s aura in order to properly recognize it.

Han Yu watched closely and saw a faint sigil form in the air. It touched the cursed pill first, then mixed into the liquid below. Once that happened, the mixture began to boil and bubble violently, signaling Han Yu to seal the cauldron once more.

And in just two more hours, the process was complete. Han Yu opened the cauldron.

Inside it, two pills now lay.

Both looked similar, being pink in color, but one was larger and one was smaller.

"The Mother and Child Bestowal Pills are completed," Han Yu declared as he took out the two pills.

He handed them to Fatui Zhuwen, who held them carefully before placing them into a box together with the Soul Blood Mending Cursed Pill. He closed the box and sealed it with a talisman.

This box would only be opened by the Patriarch himself.

Huu.

Han Yu let out a long breath as he sat down on a chair that one of the alchemists quickly brought over.

"My work is done," he said as he leaned back and allowed himself to rest for a moment.

Fatui Zhuwen carefully took the sealed box that contained the three pills, holding it as if it were the most fragile treasure in the world. His hands were steady, but the tension in his shoulders betrayed just how heavy the responsibility felt to him. He bowed deeply to Han Yu, his voice thick with emotion as he spoke.

"Honored Disciple, I will personally deliver these to my father and prepare everything for the ceremony. Nothing will be allowed to go wrong."

Han Yu nodded lightly, his expression calm, though his mind was far from quiet. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Go," he said. "There is no reason to delay now that the pills are ready."

Zhuwen did not waste another second.

He turned and left the alchemy hall at a brisk pace, calling out instructions to servants and guards along the way, his voice echoing through the corridors as he ordered preparations to begin immediately.

With Zhuwen gone, the alchemy hall slowly began to empty.

The alchemists and formation masters looked at Han Yu with eyes full of admiration and awe. Some of them still had pale faces from the earlier ordeal, but their spirits were high. They had witnessed something extraordinary, something they would likely talk about for the rest of their lives.

One by one, they bowed to Han Yu before leaving, thanking him in hushed and respectful tones. Han Yu merely nodded in response, not bothering to correct their assumptions or to explain how much of the success had depended on circumstances no one else could even perceive.

Soon, the vast alchemy hall was almost empty, leaving Han Yu alone with his thoughts.

He sat back in the chair that had been brought for him, closed his eyes, and allowed himself a moment of true rest. The silence felt heavy, but not unpleasant. His body felt light, almost buoyant, as if the immense amount of Soul Qi he had absorbed had not only strengthened him but also eased some deep, hidden fatigue he had carried for a long time.

As he rested, his thoughts naturally drifted back to everything that had happened here.

To be honest, refining these pills should have been far beyond his current level. Even among the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect, this kind of work would have been entrusted only to high ranking elders, people who had lived and refined pills for hundreds of years. Han Yu knew very well that if not for his soul cultivation, this task would have been impossible for him.

And not just for him but for many others too.
