The warzone came to a complete standstill.

Everything that was moving until a moment ago, was all paused in their tracks.

Either it was the undead or the living warriors. The forces on the dark or the light side, all were frozen at their spots as if the time came to a halt for them.

Richard glanced around and found his mother and sister were also frozen. The blades of the airships, the wings of the dragons, and even the very air were frozen.

The only being other than himself who could move was the three Generals, Eleanor and Ethan.

Richard didn't have to ask the reason for the sudden development. All the five goddesses have descended on the land of mortals, and their presence would have driven everyone insane if they hadn't stopped the time.

Richard kissed the forehead of his mother and sister before whispering, "I will be back."

Jumping from the air he easily landed on the ground and began advancing toward Zulcriz.

Ethan and Eleanor as well, were walking toward the immortal figures who had made an unexpected appearance.

Richard had a bad feeling about this situation, however, the moment he realized on which side he stood and what responsibility he held on his shoulder, Richard knew he couldn't run away from this situation.

Once all the successors arrived at the heart of the battlefield, Richard finally saw them—the faces of the other four goddesses.

The one with flowing golden hair—Goddess of Fortune and someone who blessed Nora before time reversal—Tyvessa.

The one with curly pink hair and the one who oozed with the most charm—Goddess of Love and someone who blessed Emily—Sylendera.

The one on the left had a stoic expression, much like Atheris, and had flowing green hair—the Goddess of Justice and someone who blessed Eleanor—Veridara.

The redhead goddess of war was beside her who held her son and someone who had blessed Elizabeth in the past—Atheris.

And then comes the eldest child of the Allfather and the strongest Goddess—the Goddess of Life and Creation and someone who has blessed Ethan—Veris.

These were the five goddesses who were responsible for the beginning of this whole mayhem and the sisters of Zulcriz who never considered Zulcriz as a part of their family.

Richard knew, just by standing before them, that any of them could easily crush him with their aura alone. However, their restriction of not involving themselves with the mortal realm makes them nothing but just a bright star in his eyes.

"So, you have finally decided to show up." Zulcriz voiced, his tone suggesting boredom.

"How far do you want us to go before you finally submit? It's clear that you don't care how many from your sides are sacrificed." Veridara voiced; clear hatred in her voice.

Zulcriz scoffed, "Should I remind you, how many from your side were killed in this onslaught? Just look behind you."

None of the Goddesses had to turn around to see the death count of the apostles. They were aware of what they caused by allowing Atheris the key to the Celestial Cell.

"We had no other choice. You brought such a maaaaaaassive forces," The one who pouted with her arms crossed was the Goddess of love.

Richard couldn't discern if this was mere acting or if this was her usual disposition.

Zulcriz replied in astonishement, "Look at you, being scared of mortal humans when you have so many powerhouses on your side. One was a demi-god, no? What happened to him?" Zulcriz asked with his eyes narrowed.

The ground trembled, the aura of the divinity becoming overwhelming and if not for Zulcriz shielding him, Richard might had to make some distance from the angered goddess—just like Eleanor and Ethan.

"Atheris." The oldest goddess voiced and the aura surrounding the deity receded.

Veris looked Zulcriz dead in the eye with a smile on her lips. The silver-haired Goddess oozed with a familial charm as if being near her could take away all the pain one is suffering from.

However, Richard knew that he couldn't be fooled by her appearance or aura. She is the woman who devised the plan to fool Zulcriz which further became the reason for his downfall.

The three Generals beside Zulcriz disappeared before Richard could have realized—and given how greatly Zulcriz's presence grew, it didn't take a genius to deduce that Zulcriz had assimilated his Generals to himself.

'He is ready for a battle…' Richard realized, seeing the God of Death being serious like never before.

The air grew heavy passing each second as everyone awaited what the Supreme Goddess would say further.

Richard was ready for anything. This was the final moment of this war.

He shared a glance with Ethan and the boy also had a similar reaction—prepared for anything.

Veris finally spoke…something unexpected, "I can allow you to ascend to the immortal realm, by requesting Allfather to forgive you. You know how much he adores me so there is a high chance he would accept my proposal. And once that happens, rule on our domains however you like."

"But, sis-

Veridara was silenced as an incredible weight descended upon her. The air itself grew thick, pressing down like an unseen force. Her knees buckled, slamming into the ground, her body trembling under the sheer presence of Veris.

The sky darkened, swirling with gold and violet streaks. The ground cracked beneath them, unable to bear the force of her will. A gust of wind howled through the void, yet Veris remained untouched—serene, unshaken, above it all.

Her voice, when it came, was like a celestial decree. "You forget your place, sister."

The pressure deepened. Veridara gasped, her lungs burning, her vision blurring. This was not mere strength—this was divinity itself, unchallenged, undeniable.

Veris soon removed the pressure from her foolish younger sister, and from what Richard noticed none other seemed in the mood to interfere any longer.

The Supreme Goddess continued, "I am ready to grant you all that if only your Apostle can defeat mine."

Raising her hand toward Ethan she added, "Shall Richard defeat Ethan, I will grant you what was taken away. And that is a promise."
