"Your power, it's inefficient," Tanya said as they both sat around the bonfire, eating a rabbit that was cooked.

"What do you mean?" Wei Jun asked.

"Do you know of a magic swordsman?" Tanya asked.

[It's a swordsman who can equip mana to weapons instead of aura]

[That allows them to use some spells while fighting as well]

[Though they are low-level spells only]

"I do." Wei Jun replied once he understood the system's brief description.

"Do you think it is a fortunate class?" Tanya asked.

[It's not efficient in the least]

[It might sound amazing, but cultivating mana and swordsmanship at the same time is very difficult]

[Only truly talented in that scenario succeed]

"No." Wei Jun replied.

"Then that's what you do. You're currently cultivating two powers, aren't you? And from what I understand, you don't even have harmony among them." Tanya said.

[She means you don't have a dual cultivation technique]

[Death and yang aren't compatible in any sense anyway]

[Yin and Yang are]

"So?" Wei Jun asked, practically answering her question with a yes while asking for the reason behind her inquiry.

"The way you're going, you won't last long." Tanya said from under her hood, her expression discernible, "I suggest you throw one of them away. Preferably, the one you're not compatible with."

'What?' Wei Jun was a little confused, so the system came to his rescue once again.

[She wants you to stop cultivating one of the two powers you currently have]

"I see." Wei Jun answered and asked, "But why? I'm keeping them in control."

"You're limiting them." Tanya said as she took another piece from the roasted rabbit and said, "I don't know about that scorching power inside of you, but your other power, the one of your origin, it can't display its full abilities with you restricting it like that."

'She means Death?' Wei Jun asked, but it was more of an analysis than a question.

[Seems so]

'Do you agree with her?' Wei Jun asked.

[Not necessarily]

[You're talented enough to focus on both, and the system helps you keep more than one cultivation technique, so you can master more elements as well]

"I know you're quite talented, but you're new to this, aren't you?" Tanya asked as Wei Jun was listening to the system's advice.

"I am." Wei Jun replied. Qi, another world, or anything that had happened to him in the past year or so, was quite new to him, and he was thrown into the middle of everything without so much as a warning. And then the scenarios he had to face were one after the other, leaving him little time to experiment with that new life experience.

"The way I see it, you cannot afford to experiment with different kinds of powers. You should choose one and master it before you think about the others." Tanya advised before she added, "And that way, you can also understand one idea better than two clashing ideas."

"Ideas?" Wei Jun asked.

"Mhm." Tanya nodded.

"This universe, everything in it, the life itself, is built around an idea. An idea of understanding. You need to analyze, understand, and break something down, whatever you want to understand, to the point of an idea. The idea they were built upon. In your instance, what was your power built on? Have you ever asked yourself that?" Tanya asked.

"..." Wei Jun remained silent.

"The way I have seen you use your power, you seek to destroy more than you seek to bring peace and stability to anyone other than your own. Or am I wrong in my analysis?" Tanya asked.

"No. You're not." Wei Jun replied.

"So what you need to familiarize yourself with first is the desire for your power." Tanya replied, "The power that can eat anything. Even life and all its extensions."

"Eat anything?" Wei Jun asked.

"Engulf, incorporate, assimilate, negate, destroy, pulverize. Whatever word you think suits your power more, use it." Tanya said while waving her hand, and a ball of water appeared before her, which she used to wash her hands.

"In my case, mana is the power of deception. Tricking the universe to let me use some of its power to do something that is not allowed by common sense. Of course, common sense has to be a criterion." Tanya explained before she broke it down for Wei Jun, "You use your power to use superhuman strength. It is the same, is it not?"

"..." Wei Jun remained silent but agreed with her in his silence.

"So what I mean to say is that you should make sure what you want from that power and not just blindly raise it. To know how to use it, know the idea it was built upon."

Tanya said those words and stood up, waving her hand once again before a portal appeared near them, "I hope we meet again. And if we don't, I hope my words have helped you find your path."

"..." Wei Jun wasn't very accustomed to goodbyes, so he didn't know how to greet her, so he simply said, "I'll do whatever I can to do what I have to. Until my last breath."

A smile appeared on Tanya's lips, which were the only part that could be seen due to her hood and she said, "I know you will."

'The idea? What's my idea?' Wei Jun opened his eyes and looked at the scene before him.

Nothing was all he could see.

Emotions, senses, even his own body, weren't visible to him. Since he wasn't a traditional cultivator, he hadn't been to the world of the Qi core since he abolished the yang Qi core.

But now, for the first time, he had entered the Qi core of Death Qi. And in that world, he found nothing. It was the world of Death after all. Even without the overseer's guidance, he knew where he was.

A familiar feeling. He got the same feeling he got from his father.

'But...' Wei Jun couldn't help but be lost.

That wasn't his idea. His father was a kind man who sought to live his life as peacefully as possible. Wei Jun, on the other hand, was an ambitious kid since the day he learned what ambition was.

It wasn't like he was born with the mindset of taking from others. But he couldn't let anyone go before him as well. So he did whatever he could to swallow everything. That was the best way in his life. Swallow everything. If there were no competitors, who would stand before him?

Swallow. Devour. That was his idea.

Looking at the dark and desolate universe that he couldn't even see with his eyes or sense with his senses. He just knew he was there. And it was empty.

But it wasn't waiting to be fulfilled or anything. It was simply waiting to devour.

And so...

Wei Jun began to move his Qi in a way he had never done before. He had, actually, attempted something similar, and the tool that had helped him do so had refused to come out of his inventory ever since. Still, since he managed to get the feel of it, he could use the skill without the item, but this scenario required something more.

Something different.

The Qi moved in the same way he would when he would use [Death veil], but he added an additional factor.

[Qi discharge LV:7]

[Effect: You can let your Qi move out of your body]

[Limit allowed at the current level: 10,000]

Reaching the commander realm, his level had increased, and so had his limit to discharge Qi. But just releasing the Qi would be disadvantageous. In the end, it was Qi, a power that could be countered. He needed to make sure it couldn't be countered.

So he tried.

He tried one, twice, thrice, ten times, a hundred times, but the Qi never moved the way he desired, so he added the idea to it. The idea of swallowing whatever was in his path.

Of course, since it would still be Qi, the attack could still be negated, so it wasn't completely overpowered. But what he could do was something else. But he wasn't looking for perfection anyway.

A distraction that couldn't be avoided. That was his ultimate goal. Create a move, an attack so strong that it would devour everything in his path, and although only serve as a distraction, it would be something that no one in its path could ignore.

[The movement of Death has become erratic]

[Death corresponds to your desire]

[Death corresponds to your idea]

[Death resonates with your heart]

The dark and desolate universe began to move. A strong storm began to assault him. Although he couldn't feel anything, he knew the storm that was sweeping across the universe of death was strong enough to swallow everything in its path.

[Skill Discharge has been assimilated with the characteristics of Death Veil]

[Would you like to name the unregistered skill?]

[Yes\\No?]

"Abyss."
