Chapter 1314: Chapter 1314: Liking Her So Much He Can’t Even Bear to Kiss Her

Miles Linden didn’t speak; he picked up his glass and downed the drink inside.

"Hey, look over there, who is that next to the little miss of the Xavier family? Isn’t that Willow Crawford?" A top student recognized Willow Crawford.

Miles Linden looked up and saw Willow Crawford in the dimly lit booth.

Willow was naturally eye-catching. She and Vivi Xavier came straight after school without changing their uniforms. The uniform outfits were somewhat taboo in a place like this. Willow sat there obediently, her slender legs together, exuding such pure allure that it was impossible not to be drawn to her.

"I always thought Willow Crawford was just a pretty face, but who knew such a pretty face could be this stunning? Beauty really is a gift."

"Miles Linden, that Willow Crawford looks so innocent. You should have no trouble hitting on her, right?"

"Miles Linden, if you can’t get her, it’s a sign that you lack skill. Do you want me to teach you? I bet I could win Willow Crawford over in three days."

"So, have you taken a fancy to Willow Crawford and want to make a move on her?"

These genius students began to tease because beauty like Willow’s was rare. Even these top students were still men and couldn’t resist Willow’s charm.

Then, with a "bang", Miles Linden slammed his glass heavily onto the bar, causing the rowdy voices to instantly fall silent.

The genius students exchanged glances, not daring to make any more moves on Willow because Miles’ possessiveness over her was too strong, and the cold aura emanating from him was intimidating.

"Miles, don’t be angry. Come, let me feed you a drink." The beautiful top student sat on Miles’ lap, hugging his neck with one hand and bringing the glass to his lips with the other.

This ambiguous scene made Vivi Xavier widen her eyes. "Willow, look, a rival is here to snatch your ’brother-in-law’!"

Willow also saw the scene, noticing how beautiful the brilliant student was with her delicate features, wearing a black Lolita dress, now sitting on Miles’ lap, feeding him a drink.

"Willow, that top student is a math prodigy too. Genius scholars often admire each other; Willow, you better be careful not to let someone snatch your ’brother-in-law’ away. Go up there and get that girl off his lap!" Vivi exclaimed angrily.

Willow felt uncomfortable. It was similar to when she previously saw him with Hannah Alden — like a heavy stone pressing on her heart, annoying and sour.

That girl was a math prodigy? He was also a math prodigy; they truly seemed well-matched.

And she was terrible at math, with serious subject biases. He must have laughed at her about it, right?

Willow was angry, partly at his deceit, and felt a bit uneasy realizing Miles wasn’t as straightforward as he seemed — like she never truly knew him. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

For instance, in his circle now surrounded by brilliant students, it felt unfamiliar to her.

"Vivi, my head hurts; let’s go back." Willow told a little lie; she wanted to leave and didn’t want to stay here. "Willow, why does your head hurt? Let’s go back quickly, and I’ll get a doctor to check on you." Vivi showed a look of worry.

The two girls swiftly stood up, ready to leave.

The beautiful female student was sitting on Miles’ lap, the drink offered at his lips, but he didn’t drink. Instead, his gaze was fixed on Willow, not even glancing at the other student.

He reached out and directly pushed the girl off him. "Get off me, don’t bother!"

The girl froze, her face looking terrible, "..."

Others chuckled, "Well, it seems Miles truly likes Willow — it’s not as simple as flirting. You guys should step aside."

"Miles, you seem in a bad mood today. Did you have a fight with Willow?"

A fight?

Yeah, she’s angry and ignoring him...

Miles poured himself a drink and downed it.

"Miles, have you never been in a relationship before? I’ll teach you — fight at the bed’s head, make up at the bed’s end. Just go up and hug Willow, give her a passionate kiss. No quarrel can’t be resolved with a kiss."

Kiss?

He hadn’t even touched her.

In reality, the two of them have slept together twice. She lay in his arms, but he didn’t touch her — couldn’t bring himself to, and didn’t dare.

He didn’t dare to touch her.

Fearful she’d discover his true self, his washed-up ugliness.

Miles set down his glass, directly took a bottle, and began to pour it down his throat.

In a moment, he’d already drunk three bottles.

"Miles, why are you drinking so much?"

Within Miles’ phoenix eyes churned something dark, intense and surging with desire. "Didn’t you say it? Go kiss her passionately?"

Wow.

Someone whistled, implying there would be a good show soon.

The pretty female student was furious, her face twisted with rage. Despite offering herself, Miles only thought about Willow.

"But Miles, what’s this have to do with you drinking?"

Miles put down the bottle and stood. "Drinking for courage, otherwise how would I dare do something so insane?"

Having said that, Miles walked away, chasing after Willow.

The genius students exchanged looks; they knew Miles better than anyone. He was ruthless to the core, fearing nothing. Yet, this time, to kiss Willow, he needed liquid courage?

What Miles said earlier — forcing a kiss on Willow would be the craziest thing he’d ever done in his life.

"Miles and Willow have been together for a while now, haven’t they? But they still haven’t kissed?"

"Judging by Miles, clearly they haven’t..."

No one knew how long passed, but someone chuckled. "Miles really likes Willow, so much he’s reluctant to even kiss her."

...

Willow and Vivi exited the bar, followed shortly by the sound of footsteps — someone was coming.

Willow’s heart skipped a beat, seemingly knowing instinctively. Without turning, she guessed the footsteps belonged to Miles, it must be him.

What was he coming out for?

Was the wine fed by that girl not to his liking?

Just then, a gentle phone ring sounded; Vivi received a call.

"Willow, I’m going to answer this call." Vivi took her phone and walked off to the side.

Willow continued to walk forward, the footsteps still trailing her. Miles was persistently following behind.

Willow glimpsed the shadows nearby, her shadow chased by the slender outline of a young man, hands shoved into his pockets, silently sticking close behind her.
