"I’m not sure if this is a terrible or a terrific idea..." I muttered under my breath.

"I think it’s a fantastic idea, but why don’t we let the kids judge for themselves?" Bradon replied before he winked playfully at me.

A knot formed in the pit of my stomach, and I had to say that I wasn’t sure if it was from nervousness or excitement. When Bradon suddenly told me that his new casino was finally ready to open, I congratulated him wholeheartedly. Balancing all the new roles that he had to take on was challenging enough, but Bradon never abandoned his original self.

He was still the King of the Underground and as active as ever in expanding his empire in that regard. Even while running the country and helping Desmond, he still had plans for all of his businesses. This brand-new casino was just one of the business projects that he had been working on. Everything seemed joyous and great up until the moment that he proposed that we take our children to the casino’s opening night.

That was my very first response to the idea. Bradon laughed loudly, and it was apparent that he expected my reaction to be exactly that.

"Don’t you think it’s time that they learned a little bit about who their daddy truly is?" Bradon challenged.

I was speechless at the time, and Bradon was gracious enough to let it slide. However, a few days later, he came back with the same proposal, and I had to give in.

There was a part of me that believed that his idea might be right for the kids. Just as Bradon put it, he didn’t want to keep his businesses a secret from our children. However, I couldn’t help but wonder if it was still too early.

I shook my head slightly from side to side to clear my thoughts and put my worries to rest as I refocused my sight on the scene right in front of me - Bradon guiding our children by the hand.

They looked so excited to accompany us to the opening of Bradon’s newest addition to his casino chain.

"Dahlia!" Diana called out brightly the moment that we entered the main hall where the event was being held for the evening.

"You’re early," I remarked with a welcoming smile.

"You’re a little late, and you’re supposed to be the host," Diana retorted.

I laughed as she threw her arms around me and hugged me tightly. Bradon winked at me before leading the children away. It was clear that he had volunteered to take care of the kids, at least for a while.

"So, what is up with you?" I asked as I peered into my sister’s face.

"What do you mean?" she asked as if she had no idea what I was talking about.

"I’m talking about your new job..." I said.

Diana giggled like a little girl while I rolled my eyes at her. Time did not leave Diana standing still. This aimless and free-spirited sister of mine had decided to start a career seriously - at least according to her. Leveraging her fame and popularity, Diana became more serious with her modeling career and finally got her breakthrough role in a movie after acting in many drama series. Her transition from the popular socialite to model and then to actress was actually quite flawless.

"Do you mean my role in the upcoming movie?" she asked before smiling a little too proudly.

"Yes, I mean, congratulations..." I said.

"Thanks. Before you even ask, yes, I am taking this seriously. Although you might find it hard to believe, I’ve been taking this seriously right from the start," Diana declared.

"Well, it’s definitely working out for you," I commented honestly.

"I know, right? I’m actually quite talented with all this stuff. Plus, I really enjoy it. I’m more focused with work, and I’m really having a good time," Diana said before flashing me a smile.

"You are talented, Dina. Don’t let anyone tell you or make you feel otherwise," I reminded her.

"Thanks, sis," Diana said.

"Just try to stay away from all the troublesome guys. Actually, from all guys..." I gave her another tip.

"Thanks for the advice. I don’t know about the future, but I’m very focused on building my career right now. They say that I can transition to become a producer or director next, after I’m bored or done with acting," Diana said with a dreamy look in her eyes.

I honestly thought that this was a great change for my sister. For once, she seemed to be focused solely on herself and what she wanted. Diana was following her dreams in her own way and navigating her own path. I had always wanted the best for my sister, and for once, I believed that she was following the right path and making healthy decisions. It made me feel relieved, and I could breathe a little easier now that I could worry a little less about her at the back of my mind.

Unfortunately, our catch-up was cut short when someone called out Diana’s name. I thought that his face looked extremely familiar, then it all made sense when he introduced himself. I realized that he was a very famous director right at the moment that I shook his hand.

"Please enjoy the evening. I think I have to excuse myself before my husband spoils our children crazy," I said apologetically before leaving Diana to chat with the director.

With the help of the manager, I quickly found Bradon and the children. Bradon was giving them a tour of the casino and its facilities. Just as I had predicted, the children were extremely excited. I wondered if they truly understood the concept of a casino and what people came to do there, but perhaps it didn’t matter as long as they were enjoying themselves. "Mommy!" Will cried out when he spotted me.

Bella and Bradon turned to wave my way. I waved back before making my way to their side.
