Sumatra's Greatest Fan-Chapter 62: Only My Blessed
’How the heck does she know?’ Torq was in a state of fluster, focusing on the lingering voice of Eureur and eyeing her peeled skin before him. There was only one conclusion here: she was urging him to use his Primary Nature of Daily Pet to charge up her skin and create a Pet of her.
And this Pet will be in charge of guiding and training him.
No other Primary Nature existed on Sumatra that needed one’s skin to ’charge up’ to unleash an effect. Eureur’s words and statement all hinted at the fact she was extremely clear about his abilities.
’Thinking won’t solve this.’ Groaning in response, Torq eyed the skin before him, ’I can get all answers through this.’
Once he turns Eureur into his Pet, he could allow the other person complete autonomy, making them live no different from the real thing. Of course, the Pet was under his complete control. So, this was no different from him gaining access to everything Eureur knew.
He could extract all knowledge out of her, if necessary.
Now that he could understand his mother’s plans, Torq had a glaring suspicion of her arrangements. In response, he approached the bedroom’s shelf and opened it, whistling upon seeing stacks upon stacks of medicines placed within.
Each vial consisted of 20 millilitres of medicine, which when ingested, generated exactly 200 units of Prana. The stack had been split into two portions, scarily so, as once Torq calculated the smaller portion, the Prana it would generate, upon consumption, was exactly the amount he needed to charge up the Eureur Pet.
’How does she even know that?’ By now, he was sweating buckets, truly unnerved by the situation. Maybe he could attribute some side effects behind his regression and reincarnation arrangements to the reason Eureur came to know about his identity.
However, the prepared vessel–Boiboi–truly grew active once Torq took his place within. Until then, it was just moving about like on autopilot.
Even the soul piloting it was a fragment extracted from Torq’s original soul, added enough to make the vessel survive long enough for Torq to appear within. Since this was the first time he had attempted reincarnation alongside regression, some mistake might have happened.
But even then, Torq had only recently arrived on Sumatra. Therefore, details of his primary Nature shouldn’t have been leaked to Eureur, much less the calculation involved in charging up Pets.
"Only one way to find out." Huffing a long breath, followed by a groan, Torq first activated all security arrangements in his dwelling, ensuring only he could enter inside. No one else’s senses or Prana detection means could observe within, not to mention physically barging inside.
If someone’s barging in, they could only do so by destroying the place itself. However, this mountain used to exist on an Empyrean Snapper’s back, so the soil forming it had been compressed to the limit using Subtle Terrain Domination.
Even the strongest of Silver Grade Pranic Beasts would struggle for a long time before it could manage to break in. Of course, it would have long been killed by the Cooter Clansmen by then.
Now that he felt secure, Torq began to charge up the Eureur Pet, focusing on its creation first. One after another, he consumed medicines that had been expertly refined to be as densely packed with nutrition as possible while occupying the least amount of mass.
As Prana trickled into his Spirit Container, Torq charged up the Eureur Pet. Slowly, as time passed, he began to feel nervous.
"Mother..." Honestly speaking, his original identity wasn’t related to Eureur. However, his every reincarnation was conducted in such a way he had a family and a birth mother.
Only by having stakes in the world would one begin to truly appreciate it.
Torq always followed this rule, which is why he fully immersed himself within each reincarnation’s identity. That is why, he honestly considered Eureur his birth mother, for the present reincarnation.
Boiboi, his vessel, was influenced to be extremely close to him in terms of character and personality. So, when Boiboi felt fear towards Eureur, it meant Torq’s character and personality had judged to express fear towards Eureur.
’Personality wise, she’s the kindest, cruellest individual I’ve ever known.’ And that was what made him fear her. Innately speaking, Eureur was kind. However, her methods were the cruellest one could think of.
Even when doing something kind, she would take the cruellest approach possible. That wasn’t by choice, but rather, only by being like this could someone with the Buoyant Disease survive to reach not just the Life Stage, but the peak of the 10-Life Stage.
The world of Sumatra was extremely cruel. Eureur’s only intention was for her sons to live. Hence, she had subjected both to as much currently as possible, trying her best to prepare them for the dangerous world out there.
However, she loved both from the bottom of her heart, ’She’s pretty much the only Cooter Clansman that wants me to live, even if temporary.’
Letting out a soft sigh, Torq focused on charging up the Eureur Pet, and within a day, finished the process.
Thump! Thump!
His heartrate accelerated as he felt the beats reverberate loudly in his ears. Gulping tensely, he inhaled a sharp breath of air and retracted as much of his control over the Pet as possible, so that it could act according to its individuality.
Thump!
He felt another spike in his pulse the moment the Eureur Pet opened its eyes, and blinked, once, twice, and thrice. Then, the lips curled wide to form a proud smile, parting open to utter softly, "It seems I wasn’t hallucinating all these years."
"How did you come to find out?" Torq asked, trying his best to keep a handle on his nerves. "How did you know about me?"
"I birthed you, son." Eureur broke into a chuckle and beckoned for Torq to walk closer, gently holding his hands up to speak, "Do you know about the wonderful phenomenon that exists on Sumatra?"
"Where whenever a new Pranic Beast Race is born, its name immediately pops up in the minds of everyone in the immediate vicinity?" She smiled upon seeing Torq nod in response, "You must know this, since this phenomenon has happened multiple times recently."
"It happened a couple months ago, when the Nirclicks appeared on Sumatra." Then, her eyes curled up to express the zenith of her pride as Eureur gently patted her stomach, "And, the same happened when I birthed you."
[Born to you, is my Blessed!]
"Only I heard that," She slowly clasped her hands to make a prayer, "To date, I’ve wondered if I had hallucinated that, since our vast records never mention this phenomenon occurring to only a single individual. It has always been communicated across a region."
"But now, everything makes sense!" She patted Torq on the head and then stared at the sky devotedly, "Your identity is special, since whenever our Continent is facing danger, you’ll appear to protect everyone."
"And the one that communicated this to me, was Sumatra itself!"
