Summoned As A Mere Nobody-Yet Possesses An SSS-Rank Ability-Chapter 236: Noticed Entity
"Well, let’s not take that," Nolan said. "Remember my pet, Zuru? It’s been a while since I’ve seen him. Maybe just a few days. After we came back from the Empire, I haven’t summoned him."
Nolan stretched his hand out.
A ripple of dark energy spread across the ground—then the earth cracked as Zuru the Boar rose from below, shaking dirt from his huge body.
Zuru immediately walked to Nolan and rubbed his massive head against him.
Nolan smiled and rubbed his fur.
"You’ve been doing a lot of hunting, haven’t you? I missed you."
Zuru grunted softly.
Linda stepped closer and rubbed Zuru as well. He leaned into her touch.
Nolan suddenly sensed movement.
"A pack of wolves... chasing something."
"How many?" Linda asked.
"Fourteen wolves chasing four bulls. They killed one already."
Nolan pointed.
"Let’s move."
They ran through the forest—Nolan leading, Linda close behind, Zuru thundering beside them.
They reached the clearing. Three bulls ran desperately with fourteen wolves behind them.
Linda summoned an arrow, launched it, and instantly killed seven wolves.
Nolan raised his hand.
"Gravity Skill: Press."
The remaining eight wolves were crushed flat into the earth instantly.
The bulls kept running.
Zuru charged with incredible force and slammed into them, knocking all three out cold.
Nolan smirked.
"This is going to be tasty. Who’s cooking? I can help slice."
Linda shook her head.
"No, Master. Celia will do it. She’s better with knives."
"Fine..." Nolan sighed.
He snapped his fingers—
Time stopped.
Everything froze except Linda and Zuru.
Birds were paused mid-flight. Leaves hung in the air.
"Alright, buddy," Nolan said to Zuru. "You can go back to your family. Share the food."
Zuru rubbed Nolan affectionately, then sank back into the earth and vanished.
Nolan stretched his hand.
Two Wyverns emerged from a magic circle beneath the ground, wings folding as they lowered themselves.
They bowed their heads to Nolan.
Nolan placed one bull on the back of each Wyvern.
"Come closer," Nolan said.
Linda dismissed her arrow back into inventory and stepped toward him.
Nolan gently took her wrist.
The Wyverns spread their wings and lifted into the air.
Nolan flew beside them.
Below them, the world remained frozen—still, silent, unmoving.
They flew back toward the Dwarf Kingdom, the view perfectly motionless beneath them.
They landed near the small stone house far from the main dwarf settlement.
The Wyverns lowered the bulls. Nolan dismissed them and they vanished.
Inside, Celia stood frozen mid-cleaning.
Nolan snapped his fingers.
Time resumed.
Wind returned. Sound returned. Celia blinked and continued moving as if nothing happened.
"Damn..." Nolan said softly. "Perfect resume."
Time had resumed.
Celia stepped out of the room, wiping her hands on her dress.
"Ah—Master, you’re already back? I didn’t even notice," Celia said.
"Well, we just got here," Nolan replied.
Celia’s eyes widened the moment she saw the two massive bulls lying outside.
"W-Wow! You brought these back? Both of them?!" Celia said.
"Well... yeah," Nolan answered. "I think I should really... want to do this lesson, but can you handle it?"
"Master, leave it to me. Using this, and cooking—this is my specialty," Celia said proudly.
Nolan walked inside and blinked.
"Oh—the room has been lighted up. You used your White Phoenix Flame to light the burn vessel, right?"
"Yes, I did," Celia said with a smile.
"Cool," Nolan said.
"Master, can I start now? Can I start cutting everything and cooking it?" Celia asked.
"Well, yes. Let me help you," Nolan said.
Nolan walked inside and brought out a huge wooden bath, almost too large for him alone. He dragged it to the center of the small stone house. There was also a large table—he pulled it out and set it down.
He lifted one of the bulls and placed it on top of the table.
Celia walked in holding her sword.
"Are you sure you want to use your sword?" Nolan asked.
"Yes. I want to use my sword," Celia said confidently.
"Phoenix Flame Skill—activate!"
"Why is she activating her skill...? This lady can be scary sometimes," Nolan muttered quietly as he stepped back.
Celia raised her blade.
VROOM! VROOM! VROOM! VROOM! VROOM!
In three seconds, she sliced through the entire bull—
dissecting it, separating the bones, cutting the flesh into perfect pieces.
Everything was clean, neat, and unbelievably fast.
Nolan’s mouth dropped open.
"That is... impressive. But also kinda scary," Nolan said.
He stepped aside as she finished.
Celia placed her sword down.
Nolan hurried into the house and came back with a frying pan.
He grabbed a stick and a small stone, then lifted his hand.
A tiny flame appeared on his fingertip.
He lowered the flame to the stick—
FWOOM—it ignited.
He set the frying pan over it.
Celia washed the meat quickly, her hands moving fast.
Then she began placing the slices of bull meat into the pan.
SZZZZZZZZZZ!
The aroma filled the whole house.
Linda suddenly walked in. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"Master, Celia, I’ll help!" Linda said.
She set up another small fire beside them.
She found a sack of rice in the corner and opened it.
She poured some into a pot, added water, and placed it over the second fire.
FWOOM. FWOOM. FWOOM.
As the rice cooked, Linda moved beside Celia and began seasoning and helping prepare the meat.
The small stone house was filled with activity
Celia cooking, Linda preparing food, Nolan monitoring the fires—
the smell of fresh meat and hot rice filling the air.
Nolan stood on top of a rock, arms crossed, watching Celia and Linda as they prepared the meat.
Smoke rose gently, the sizzling sound filled the air, and the smell was unbelievable.
"This actually smells... really nice," Nolan said with a small smile.
He looked up into the sky.
A short figure was flying toward them—fast.
It descended and landed on the ground with a soft thud.
It was a dwarf.
But Nolan immediately recognized him.
The dwarf’s body shifted—shrinking, stretching, changing shape—
and within seconds, he reverted into his true form.
It was Damian.
"Master, I’m back," Damian said as he dropped to one knee, placing his hand on his chest and bowing his head.
"You don’t need to kneel. Stand up," Nolan said.
Damian stood.
"So," Nolan said, "tell me... how many demons did you sense? How many are here? And how strong are they?"
Damian took a slow breath.
"Well, Master... yes, you can take them out easily. But still—they are extremely strong. If they wished to, they could kill every human here. They could even wipe out every dwarf in this kingdom within minutes," Damian said.
Nolan narrowed his eyes.
"Most of them," Damian continued, "have already taken the form of dwarves. They blend perfectly. They hide their aura so well that ordinary dwarves cannot tell the difference. Only beings like you, Master... or like me, can sense who they really are."
Damian lowered his head respectfully.
"Master... should I annihilate all of them right now?"
Nolan raised his hand slightly.
"No. No need to rush," he said calmly. "Where’s Lyra?"
"Well," Damian answered, "she’s still scouting other areas—she’s checking the demons that have blended deeper within the dwarf city."
He paused, then continued:
"Master... some cases are even worse. Some demons didn’t just blend in. They married dwarf women. Some even had children. The dwarven mothers do not know the truth. The babies look like dwarves, but they are demons... they cannot even open their eyes for a full year after birth."
Nolan’s expression hardened.
"That’s... important intel," he said quietly. "Very useful."
Damian nodded.
"Yes, Master. Also... the demon aura placed on this kingdom... I believe the one controlling all of them is inside the castle. That demon is extremely powerful. Probably one of the top commanders."
Nolan stepped down from the rock, hands behind his back.
"So tell me, how many?"
"I sensed about seventy demons who were actively hiding," Damian said.
"But I’m sure the total might be at least one hundred and twenty, maybe even more... scattered across the whole dwarf kingdom."
Nolan smirked slightly.
"That won’t be a problem. Even if there were one thousand, they still wouldn’t be able to defeat me. I alone could erase all of them... you could help... and Lyra too. So don’t worry."
"Yes, Master."
"For now, we wait for Lyra," Nolan said. "She’ll bring more details. Then we move."
"Okay, Master... by the way, what are they making? PPI?" Damien asked as he leaned slightly forward, sniffing the air. "It smells really good."
Nolan glanced down from the rock, watching the dwarves as they continued preparing the meal. Smoke drifted upward, carrying a rich, savory scent.
"Well," Nolan said, "I went out of this kingdom to go get the catchable meat... something like that. And they’re preparing it now. It’s actually going to be tasty."
Damien’s eyes widened.
"Wow... it smells really good."
But then his expression shifted—serious again.
"Still... the high-ranking demon in this kingdom, the one inside the castle... I didn’t go near him.
