Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts-Chapter 1572: New Journey
"This should be enough for the first trip. It will last for two to three months. Is that enough?" Nathan asked.
Luna and Evelyn calculated everything in their minds.
"Roughly, yes." Luna nodded.
"No problem."
Bella raised her hand. "In that case, should I also make a report every night?"
It would be great, but it would take a bit too much time.
So Nathan shook his head. "No need. This time, the report can wait. Just a small discussion every night should be enough."
"Just make sure you secure everything important." Luna added while taking out the Space Ring. "If you need more, just ask me."
Selena asked, "So, the rest of these places will have to wait until the next expedition?"
"Yeah. We should be able to finish everything in two expeditions unless we find other places that we need to discover." Nathan turned to Flora.
"Right?" Flora turned to Vista. "Please continue with the research and update me with everything."
"Understood." Vista acknowledged the order.
Noelle asked, "By the way, what will we do once we encounter a danger that no one can withstand?"
Nathan was a bit surprised by the question. It was true that they would have to face a danger they had never seen before, but they could always teleport.
It should have been the obvious answer, but the question reminded him of Sullivan’s death.
Noelle didn’t want to repeat the same mistake. If they thought teleportation was enough, they might end up facing a situation much worse than the one that took her grandfather’s life.
"No need to worry." Nathan pointed at the map. "I have just finished marking our targets. I haven’t marked the rendezvous points."
Evelyn agreed. "Yes. I will be there to create multiple teleportation circles to regroup in case that ’big danger’ is coming. We will have to face them head-on or change our approach depending on what kind of danger we’re facing."
"I see." Noelle nodded. "Sorry for being nosy."
"It’s fine." Nathan waved his hand. Noelle rarely asked a question before because she believed in the ability of the leader, whether it was Nathan or Selena.
So, the fact that she was more concerned about everything showed her growth from her passive approach. There was nothing to be sorry about, Nathan thought.
"Well, it’s time to figure out the rendezvous points. Note that we are in a dangerous zone, so these teleportation circles might be destroyed by the aliens. We need places that are hard to reach but easy to defend." Nathan then turned to Vista.
Vista understood his place. Since they were going to form a teleportation circle, it was best for him to leave.
After all, these teleportation circles would allow Nathan’s group to revisit the alien territory easily.
If he had this information, he might be able to reach this place as well, or he might tell other people about this information in one way or another.
To his surprise, Nathan actually asked, "Please stay."
"!!!" Vista widened his eyes. "Pardon?"
"I want you to stay. As Noelle mentioned earlier, this will be quite dangerous. Once things start to go bad, I’m expecting you to send more people if necessary. We can’t afford to lead that kind of danger to our defense line, can we?"
That was true. If the kind of danger Nathan mentioned ended up reaching their defense line, their defense line might collapse, and there was no telling what would happen next.
So, it was best to fight in their territory to avoid further devastation.
Flora added, "Stay Vista. In case something happens, it will be good to inform the royal family first. If possible, just ask Duke Coline, Sage Leyfon, or Count Ashton as reinforcement."
"Understood, Your Highness." Vista bowed politely.
The conversation then continued as they started discussing the perfect places for the teleportation circles.
There were a lot of arguments, but they managed to pick 15 spots for their rendezvous points.
It was originally six, but the other six were required as backup, and the other three were the backup of the backup.
It took them until morning to decide, but they had discussed everything they needed for the next trip.
Hence, Nathan and the others focused on their original tasks. They informed their families and connections about this trip and warned them about the potential danger.
They also began focusing on their own specialties, whether it was gardening like Vivian or forging like Luna. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
More importantly, none of them neglected their growth, especially Iris.
Since Iris was the weakest, Nathan personally trained her for the next few weeks in his free time.
As expected of his luck, Iris, whose growth was already astonishing, grew by leaps and bounds.
They ended up taking a bit longer than their original change, but the preparation had been completed.
Four weeks after that discussion, Nathan and the others gathered in front of the mansion.
"Aris. Please take care of our house." Nathan smiled.
"Yes, sir." Aris nodded furiously. Even though Aris was not a summoner, he was originally a noble. He had the knowledge that a noble kid would have.
And with continuous teaching, Aris should be able to run their household with no problem.
Nathan rarely talked to Aris, but he thought Aris would be perfect to be the manager of the household. He was good at what he was doing and pretty loved by the people.
It would be even more important to have someone manage their household if Nathan really wanted to leave this world to fight the black cell.
He couldn’t afford to have everything he built here destroyed by the time he returned... if he could return.
Nathan then turned to the Dragon King, who was practically guarding the household.
The Dragon King was done talking to Alavenya, so Nathan nodded to him.
"Please take care of her and return safely."
"Of course, sir."
"Maybe once you return next time, you will call me Father." The Dragon King smirked.
"That has to wait until I have married your daughter, right?" Nathan grinned.
The two were just trying to lighten the mood before Nathan raised his hand, signaling Evelyn to teleport them.
Even Nathan couldn’t predict how dangerous the journey would be this time.
