Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution-Chapter 686 - Little Star
Chapter 686: Chapter 686 Little Star
Lin Shen found it impossible to describe what kind of creature it was because he had never seen a similar species, and thus, found no vocabulary to describe it.
The creature was unlike any known species on earth; its body seemed to be made of smoke, mist, electricity, crystal, jade, demon, devil, god, and immortal, yet it seemed like none of these at the same time.
The constantly changing, vibrant colors of the creature’s indescribable form left Lin Shen unable to articulate what kind of existence it was, only feeling an immense shock in his heart.
It merely leapt into the air, then fell back into the sea, causing the waters to surge up into gigantic waves of blood.
As the two of them retreated from their shock, they did not stop until they reached the mid-mountain area. Only then did they see the waves of blood crashing against the mountain walls, like a world-ending tsunami about to devour everything, with half of the mountain submerged in the blood-red water.
It took a long time for the turbulent sea of blood to finally recede.
Lin Shen and Wei Wufu did not dare to stay by the seaside, hastily retreating the way they had come. The sheer terror of the creature was unimaginable; the Nirvana Creatures Lin Shen had seen before couldn’t hold a candle to it. If they disturbed it, who knew what would happen.
“That thing… couldn’t possibly be an Undying Creature, could it…” Lin Shen’s complexion looked rather poor.
Yet, the Sea of Blood didn’t appear to be contaminated by anything from the spaceship. How could such a terrifying creature exist?
If there were such creatures in the underground space to begin with, their previous speculations were probably all wrong.
Perhaps the Base Mutation site of the underground space was not at the Nirvana Level but a higher existence altogether.
If that really was the case, all their previous calculations would likely fail, as such a being, if it decided to break out from the underground space, could not possibly be stopped by the Wei Family.
As the two were escaping, they suddenly saw a strange light before them that illuminated the mountain range in all colors of the rainbow.
Looking up, they saw the entire sky enveloped in radiance, like the auroras.
The next second, both felt the world spin, with Strength bursting out of their bodies uncontrollably; yet they couldn’t govern their own movements as they tumbled helplessly within that aurora.
When they finally stabilized, they found themselves inside the indescribable creature.
They felt as though they were within a transparent body of water, or perhaps amidst a fluffy mass of clouds, with streaming light flowing around them. The illusionary rainbow-colored light even passed through their bodies without hindrance, casting their figures in constantly changing colors.
Although they were clearly inside the body of the creature, they had the sensation of being on the cloud tops, rising and falling with the creature in the sea, as if riding the clouds and controlling the fog.
“Wei… Are you all right…” Lin Shen found that they could talk normally inside this bizarre creature.
“No…” Wei Wufu shook his head.
Neither of them felt any damage to their bodies, and they could move around freely inside the creature as if they were in water or a pile of cotton.
The body of the Bizarre Creature seemed infinitely large; no matter how they moved, they could not reach the edge of its body.
The Bizarre Creature, riding the wind and breaking the waves in the Sea of Blood, actually moved toward that pink moon hanging on the horizon.
The two only felt the scenery around them receding at such speed that they felt like time was flowing.
The pink moon in their eyes grew bigger and bigger, and to their horror, they realized it was indeed a gigantic sphere.
However, this sphere was nowhere near as large as a real moon, but it was still much bigger than a typical island.
As they got closer, they could even see a few red and blue houses and some coconut-like trees on the island.
The houses and trees, with some below the sphere, appeared as if drawn by a child on paper, with proportions that were exaggerated and surreal.
Lin Shen thought that such a scene could only be seen in comics, but today he was witnessing it in reality.
The Bizarre Creature brought them straight toward the strange sphere and then dispersed like clouds or smoke, allowing them to land on the surface of the sphere, feeling solid ground beneath their feet.
But the position where the two of them stood was parallel to the Sea of Blood and the domed sky, making it appear as if the Sea of Blood and the dome were two infinitely extending high walls on either side, eventually meeting together in the distance.
The body of the Bizarre Creature, shattered in mid-air, gathered together as if in flight, and plunged into the Sea of Blood.
The huge waves stirred by the Sea of Blood rose above their heads, before falling back into the Sea of Blood, an experience that felt quite peculiar.
“Welcome.” A voice interrupted the two who were still in shock.
Lin Shen and Wei Wufu looked around in astonishment, but could not find the speaker.
“I’m right here.” The voice sounded again, and upon looking down, they finally saw the owner of the voice—a snail the size of a fist.
The snail’s shell was colorful with dancing halos, its body translucent like jade, and its two round eyes perched on feelers curiously sizing them up, with human-like expressions and gazes, as if from a comic book creature.
“Who are you?” Lin Shen asked the snail strangely, unsure of how to address this being.
“I am Little Star.” The snail twisted its body to show off its brightly colored shell.
The brilliance on its shell seemed like countless tiny grains of star sand, or a sky filled with colorful stars.
“What are your names?” Little Star blinked its eyes curiously as it asked them.
“I’m Tian… and he’s Fu…” Lin Shen replied.
Little Star seemed extremely pleased, leapt onto a nearby rock, and twisting its body, said, “Tian… Fu… welcome to your arrival… To welcome you… I’ve decided to throw a grand party… What do you think of this idea?”
Before Lin Shen could respond, Little Star continued on its own: “Oh, you must think this idea is fantastic, you’re really looking forward to it, right? Don’t worry, just wait a moment for me, the welcome party is about to start…”
With that, Little Star jumped down from the rock and sped toward a red house at an incredible pace.
Lin Shen had never seen a snail move so fast; it even created afterimages, like a comet, trailing behind it a colorful tail of light.
The two watched it rush into the house and then, as if by a flurry of light and shadow, when it dashed out again, it moved quickly through the air like lightning.
Strips of lights and various items flew out, and in an instant, an exhibition hall of lights seemed to form before Lin Shen and his companion.
Even two speakers taller than a person were set out, and in the middle of the stone, a microphone was placed.
Little Star stood behind the microphone, its shell now adorned with a small hat, and around its neck, a bow tie. Despite the bizarre sight, it looked surprisingly harmonious.
“To welcome my friends Tian and Fu, let me first offer you a song… I’m your Little Star…” Little Star sang passionately into the microphone, like a pop superstar.
In the depth of emotion, it even blew a kiss toward them.
Lin Shen and Wei Wufu were both dumbstruck; Wei Wufu, usually so composed, was now standing with his mouth half-open, as if he had been struck by Acupoint Sealing.
“What… what is this…” When they were caught by that Bizarre Creature earlier, they had considered countless possibilities, even contemplating being devoured alive by some horrific Undying Creature, but they had never imagined something like this happening.
A snail singing a heartfelt song to them.

As it sang, the snail’s eyes extended to the side and pressed a remote control larger than its own body.
The lights around them suddenly shifted, transforming the place from a New Year’s light show to a disco.
The lights started to flicker and sway madly, and the music from the speakers also became more intense.
“My friends… let’s get high…” Little Star’s voice also grew excited, followed by a cringingly awkward rap: “You say I’m your Little Star… without me, you can’t even cope…”
