"I can finally be freed..." the Mountain God's voice trailed off as the sound of a crack echoed and the Clay Fetus God Statue shattered into a pile of clay pieces again.

"It worked... I'll give it a try..." Lin Shen said, heading out of the temple to attempt crossing the Jade Level.

But as soon as he stepped through the temple's main gates, he found himself back inside. Not only had he returned to the temple, but he also appeared on the altar, in the very place where the Clay Fetus God Statue had been.

"Oh... so that's how it is..." Lin Shen immediately realized the situation. To confirm his suspicions, he rushed out of the Mountain God Temple only to reappear on the altar without fail. No matter how he tried to leave, as soon as he stepped beyond the bounds of the Mountain God Temple, he would be instantly teleported back to the altar.
