Super Soldier in the City-Chapter 2053 - 2116: No Visitors Allowed
A soldier from the Capital City’s unit showed up here early in the morning. Li Yifei figured they must have driven over last night after he hung up the phone. What could be so urgent to make them rush like this? As he turned back while holding his child, Li Yifei thought of avoiding these people altogether. From both his and his family’s perspective, he needed some rest. He was now a wealthy man; why should he be so busy?
So with that in mind, Li Yifei simply told the security to say he was out and asked them to tell the others to leave.
More than ten minutes later, after sending his child back, Li Yifei heard a commotion from the gate; it seemed the other party was trying to force their way in.
That wouldn’t do. The Li family’s security were no slouches. In fact, one could say there wasn’t a single one among them who was just coasting through. While there might have been some slackers in the beginning, the current team had been honed into experts. Not only did Li Yifei personally guide them when he had time, but he also hired well-known instructors to train them. Coupled with their existing skills, the guards improved rapidly.
If it were ordinary people causing trouble, they wouldn’t benefit. Li Yifei even thought that if his old teammates came with fewer people, they might not gain much in a direct confrontation with the security.
Therefore, initially, Li Yifei wasn’t worried. He even stood at the door to take a look but saw nothing. Just when he was about to turn back inside, he heard someone running over and saw it was a security guard as he turned around.
"Li Hui, what’s the matter?"
"Master, we... we might not be able to stop them. A few of the opponents are very strong. Unless we use guns, it’s hard to hold them back. They kept insisting on seeing you," the security guard Li Hui reported with a look of shame.
Li Yifei frowned and nodded. Since these people were giving the guards trouble, he’d better go take a look — couldn’t let his security get hurt.
Following Li Hui outside, just as they reached the gate, roars were heard from outside. A group of people dressed as roughneck soldiers formed a line, moving step by step toward the main entrance. The Li family’s security, fearless as ever, also stood in a line guarding against them.
Those were no regular soldiers! At a glance, Li Yifei felt his eye twitch. These people weren’t mere soldiers; they were his former instructors. Though they wore regular soldier uniforms, Li Yifei recognized them instantly.
Seeing this, Li Yifei shouted, "Stop."
Though his security team was strong, without firearms, they would surely suffer losses against these individuals. As the head of the family, Li Yifei wouldn’t allow his people to be at a disadvantage.
However, when Li Yifei reached the gate, he couldn’t help getting angry, finding two of his guards already lying on the ground.
"What’s going on here?" Li Yifei strode over, glancing at the two on the ground and not sparing a glance at the burly ones responsible. After ensuring his guards were merely unconscious, he then turned to his security, coldly demanding, "Who can tell me what’s going on?"
"Master, these people tried to force their way in. Brother Wang and Old Zhang blocked them, but they suddenly attacked, so we rushed out," a security guard explained.
"What did I teach you?" Li Yifei’s gaze swept over them all. Not a single guard lowered their eyes as they shouted in unison, "This is our home too. In critical moments, we must protect it even at the cost of our lives."
"Good. Now, people are attacking the Li family, even assaulting our brothers without a word. What should you do?" Li Yifei’s gaze moved across each face of his subordinates.
"Fight back!" they shouted in unison.
Behind them, an old man and a young man stood among the instructors, both in military uniforms. Seeing Li Yifei’s demeanor, the young man immediately looked displeased, and the old man furrowed his brows slightly, clearly not expecting this from Li Yifei.
After the guards spoke, they felt a surge of frustration. They had hesitated due to the circumstances, especially since the opponents were military personnel and seemed formidable. After Li Yifei’s reprimand, their fighting spirit rekindled.
Just as they were about to charge at those who had attacked their brothers, Li Yifei waved them off, saying, "Let it go this time. If it happens again, expect punishment."
"Yes!" the guards shouted with pride.
Having said his piece, Li Yifei turned to look at the others and slowly approached.
"Who threw the first punch?" Li Yifei asked coolly, but the question fell like a hammer on their hearts, making them nervous.
"Golden Eagle, I came to see you about an important matter. They got a bit impatient..." the old man said, moving forward as he spoke.
Li Yifei didn’t recognize the old man, so he had no need to give him a good face. Hearing his words, Li Yifei just glanced at him before continuing to stare at the instructors, asking, "I’ll ask again, who was it that started the fight and injured my people?"
"Golden Eagle, don’t go too far!" One of the instructors recognized Li Yifei. As fellow special forces personnel, he was quite unconvinced by Li Yifei. Why should he have such a big name and even join the Flying Hawk Squad? Seeing Li Yifei so aggressive, this person immediately felt displeased.
"So, you are admitting it was you?" Li Yifei raised his eyebrows slightly and walked towards him.
"Yes, it was me. So what? Don’t think you’re so impressive." The other retorted.
"Very well!" Li Yifei nodded slowly, sweeping his gaze and noticing two others with fists clenched towards him. Li Yifei then said, "You two as well?"
"So what if we are? Your security talked too much." The two tried to argue, but suddenly felt a blur before their eyes. Li Yifei seemed to disappear for a split second, reappearing in front of them. Before they could blink, Li Yifei punched them both, sending them flying without any reaction. He grabbed the instructor who admitted to hitting people by the neck, swung him around four or five times in the air before casually throwing him onto a military vehicle ten meters away.
Having done all this, Li Yifei clapped his hands calmly, looked at the remaining instructors, then turned to his security and said, "Next time something like this happens, no matter who it is, beat them with sticks and throw them out! This is the Li family, a private place. It’s not a playground for these bastards."
"Yes!" The security personnel felt their blood start to boil, utterly thrilled. This is the style of the master of the house, which is one of the reasons why they follow Li Yifei willingly to protect the Li family.
Who doesn’t have a hero complex? Following such a powerful master, they felt motivated.
"Golden Eagle..." The old man saw Li Yifei starting to act, initially wanting to stop him, but realizing his own people were in the wrong, swallowed his words. By the time Li Yifei was done reprimanding them and made his move to send the instructors flying...
Damn it, the old man’s mouth twitched. Has this scoundrel already grown to such an extent?
"Still want to charge in?" Li Yifei asked as he looked at the other party.
The old man shook his head, smiling apologetically: "Just now... it was my people who were wrong, but I too have urgent business with you, got anxious, and thought less."
"Heh." Li Yifei sneered, not responding, as the old man introduced himself: "My name is Wang Yong, you should have heard of me. I came this time to ask for your help."
"No time." Li Yifei shook his head decisively.
Wang Yong was choked for a moment, but he was mentally prepared before he came. Li Yifei probably wouldn’t be very cooperative. Not getting angry, he kept smiling and said, "We also know you’ve retired, and always seeking your help isn’t great. But this time, it must be you..."
"Reason?" Li Yifei raised his eyebrows, looking at him somewhat displeased.
Wang Yong’s face turned slightly worried and said, "This was some time ago, on an island in the South Sea, something strange happened. It’s a disputed island; we can’t go openly, so we sent a squad to infiltrate quietly. As a result, all fifteen members of this squad went missing. Later, we had to send out an even more elite team, which included Shen Tianfang and Zheng Feihu. They took twenty people back into the island’s seas, and we lost contact with them as well."
"Wait, who did you say?" Li Yifei had just wanted to refuse, but on hearing the two names, his heart immediately rose.
"Shen Tianfang and Zheng Feihu, also the seventh and ninth captains of the Flying Hawk Squad." Wang Yong said.
Li Yifei’s face immediately turned serious. For this visit, Li Yifei was utterly unwilling, even wanting to refuse when he saw them start hitting. However, hearing those two names made him hesitate. Shen Tianfang and Zheng Feihu were his brothers; Li Yifei had good relations with every former captain of the Flying Hawk Squad, especially with these two. Their ages were not very different, and they matched well in many aspects.
The two had already retired and wouldn’t act unless it was a big mission, and now they were missing.
Li Yifei glanced at Wang Yong and said, "Come in with me."
The others wanted to follow, but Li Yifei gave them a look to block them outside. Bringing Wang Yong home, Li Yifei directly asked, "What exactly is going on?"
Though Wang Yong had seen a lot, he couldn’t help being stunned all along the way. No glass dome was visible outside, yet it was so warm inside, even feeling like being in a warm southern place along the way.
Hearing Li Yifei’s question, Wang Yong snapped back, sorted out his words, and explained the detailed process to him.
