Superhumans of the Dome City-Chapter 1368 - 210: Parent-Child Fun Fair (Part 4)
The last exhibit looked the most proper; the leaders of Light Core had set up a temporary building with various equipment placed in fully enclosed glass cabinets, complemented by touch-style holographic projections for explanations. It stood in stark contrast to the other two organizations that were beating gongs and sounding drums. The elitists of Light Core, not wanting to damage their own reputation, even turned a crowd-pleasing display into something resembling a scientific research conference. The promotional lineup featured the ace duo of Aorus and Creyah, giving plenty of face to the Demon.
Gongsun Ce breathed a huge sigh of relief, "See, see, I told you this is the right way!"
"This equipment has something to do with you?" Mr. Gongsun was still skeptical.
"A lot, Mr. Gongsun has helped a great deal with our research." Creyah approached and greeted everyone, smilingly introducing the equipment on exhibit, "Please look at this stopwatch-type instrument; it’s a portable soldier radar developed by reverse-engineering Mr. Gongsun’s abilities. It has performed exceptionally well in several operations this year..."
Aorus made a gesture, and a gray metal watch in the cabinet beeped twice, projecting a map of the campus and personnel distribution in a ghostly blue light. Mrs. Gongsun was greatly surprised, "His telekinesis can also be used as radar? Is it military tech?"
"The practical applications are certainly not limited to such a narrow scope as reconnaissance; telekinesis also holds great potential in the medical field. This device is a floating prosthetic specially designed for those with walking impairments..."
"This is an industrial exoskeleton made with reference to telekinesis assistance..."
Creyah introduced the high-tech facilities in the cabinet one by one, leaving Gongsun’s parents in awe. Gongsun Ce completely relaxed, whispering to Aorus, "Ed’s efficiency is impressive, to churn out these things in two or three days?"
"They’re all real products. Ed originally had research tasks on the most dangerous Dragon Species, just picked a few finished items from the inventory." Aorus said.
Gongsun Ce laughed without smiling, "So you really researched me?"
"Is that so strange? That’s the power directly handed down by the Eternal King, the world’s most valuable research material. Unfortunately, without your personal cooperation, Ed’s best efforts can only produce these small devices, which is better than nothing."
Aorus’s tone was calm. Today, he wasn’t wearing the flashy dress but was dressed in a three-piece suit, looking like a young and talented successful person from afar. His superpower had unexpectedly returned after the battle in Meteor City, as if some artist simply returned what they had borrowed, and with it, his annoying elitist demeanor seemed to be on the rise again, making Gongsun Ce move a few steps away from him in disgust.
"Shoo, shoo, keep away from me, you’re annoying to look at."
"It’s a wonder you can still put on such a face after having my organization help you." Aorus didn’t mind, "No need to worry, I have to host my school’s event and will leave when I’m done... Miss Creyah, have we brought our best test piece?"
"It has been well-tuned, but..." Creyah hesitated.
"It’s okay, to showcase Mr. Gongsun’s contribution to academia, it’s a perfect example." Aorus smiled, "Please look over here, you two!"
Among the exhibits was a conspicuous rectangular cabinet, shrouded in mystery by the organizers with a silk cover, obscuring its contents. Aorus quickly walked up to lift a corner of the silk, acting like a magician about to reveal a secret on stage.
"Compared to this upcoming product, the earlier equipment is little more than appetizers at a banquet. Allow me to formally introduce Mr. Gongsun’s highest contribution to the officialdom of Cangdu." Aorus revealed the silk, "The Dragon Extermination Cannon!"
At first glance, the exhibit in the glass cabinet resembled a large black pincer, the upper side formed a three-dimensional acute angle, while the lower side was a straight long strip with energy storage slots evenly distributed inside the barrel, continuously filling with a blood-red light along with the "charging" prompt. The cannon’s overall design exuded a murderous aura, clearly an unmistakable weapon. It looked so familiar to Gongsun Ce because it was essentially the Guilty Brand he himself had developed!
Gongsun Ce almost popped his eyes out of his sockets, but before he could speak, Mr. Gongsun turned his piercing gaze toward him, "Ah Ce! You still say you weren’t involved in the previous Federation incident!"
"No, Dad, you misunderstood, this thing is not what you think... Aorus, damn you, shut up, don’t say another word!"
Aorus pretended not to hear and spoke with sonorous modulation, "This cannon made significant contributions in the recent Operation Yamibō’s Dragon Strategy, earning high praise from United States Vice President Mr. Gaius..."
"They’re just friends joking, don’t take it seriously!" Gongsun Ce hurried to pull his parents away. Mrs. Gongsun glared at him, standing still, "Hey young man, explain further, what exactly is the effect of this cannon?"
Mr. Gongsun looked further ahead, "Can this be mass-produced? Is there hope for it to become standard equipment?"
However, the brown-haired young man who was still in the distance just a moment ago had vanished in the blink of an eye. Teacher Aidal came over, accompanying with a smile to explain, "Apologies, Researcher Aorus had an urgent matter and left temporarily using superpower... I will continue the presentation on his behalf!"
The Gongsun couple looked at their son with suspicion; Gongsun Ce remained standing still, with his same nonchalant demeanor, fiddling with a small gray snake in his hand.

At the same time, on the rooftop terrace, Gongsun Ce grabbed Aorus by the collar, slamming him against the wall. The latter raised his hands innocently, "Is this how you repay me when I kindly helped you?"
