Superhumans of the Dome City-Chapter 1383 - 6: Heroes of the Past, Part 2
"Military training in December..." Gongsun Ce shook his head. He quickly walked past one academy building after another and stepped into a pavilion to the north of the Imperial Academy Supervisor. Behind the pavilion was a delicate stone bridge which seemed to lead to a rock garden, but Gongsun Ce did not hesitate. He merely extended a finger and lightly tapped. Ripples like water waves spread in the void, and Gongsun Ce took a step forward, gracefully slipping in behind the ripples.
There was indeed a restriction within the Imperial Academy Supervisor, and the person he sought was in this most forbidden area.
Behind the bridge, the scene naturally faded as the realm shifted. The flowers, grass, water, and scenery vanished, and opposite the small bridge was another set of similar academy buildings. In the farthest sight stood a large hall, taking the place of the "outer" pavilion, towering over the entire campus. Gongsun Ce knew the person he was searching for was inside that hall. He suppressed his presence to the lowest limit, transforming himself into a wisp of breeze.
"Imperial Academy Supervisor inner gate, no entry for outsiders~~!"
A long, gentle male voice came from the side. Gongsun Ce’s movement paused; his concealment measures were completely ineffective. Leaning against an old cypress tree was a tall and slender young man in loose white clothing, with narrow eyes that seemed to hold a smile. He resembled a dancer from the stage with long sleeves trailing.
Gongsun Ce adjusted his glasses, the lenses reflecting the blinding sunlight: "This student misunderstands, I am not one to cause trouble without reason, but have important matters to visit General Zhang."
"I wondered what kind of visitor had such great Divine Skills, turns out it’s someone with pressing duties from the court." The tall and slender young man tucked his hands into his wide sleeves, leaning against the tree without moving, "But since you have such an important duty, why not take the main gate rather than the small path?"
Gongsun Ce smiled: "For convenience and speed."
"The guest with such urgent responsibilities, why is there time to chat with this student?" The tall and slender young man asked again.
Gongsun Ce shrugged: "Once reached, there is no rush."
"I have one last question, I hope the guest will forgive..."
The tall and slender young man’s eyes slid over here diagonally, smiling like a venomous snake flicking its tongue.
"We are complete strangers, the guest with a clear conscience, why carry murderous intent, anger, resentment, and hostility, tainting those golden eyes?"
Gongsun Ce sneered: "None of your damn business!"
13-year-old Situ Yi quickly hid behind the tree, sighing mournfully: "The wicked thief wishes to harm the loyal, hoping Zhongwu saves me!"
The quiet and desolate campus atmosphere suddenly changed, golden threads and gray strands rose out of the blue from the gaps between the stone tiles, forming a dense web-like formation. During those tens of seconds of chit-chat between Situ Yi and Gongsun Ce, another observer had completed his preparations. The nearby academy door opened wide, and a short, stout young man in a black robe strode out, his round face stern: "Inner gate restricted area, no entry for outsiders. Seal!"
The array on the ground burst with two-colored light, transforming into six long jade pieces with pointed tops and square bottoms, forming a circle around Gongsun Ce. Gongsun Ce tried moving his fingers, but after an inch, he felt immense resistance and laughed: "The Jade never parting an inch is what you call a seal?"
Liu Zhongwu was taken aback: "You with golden eyes do have keen insight..."
"An outsider relies on himself to walk the world; without some keen insight, it would be tough." Gongsun Ce grinned, "But for a top student from this Imperial Academy Supervisor to act without a word, isn’t it too impulsive? With such a reckless nature, the future career might suffer~"
Liu Zhongwu turned pale with anger: "You barged into both outer and inner restrictions, Situ ordered a stop, yet still bore murderous intent, reaching this level of arrogance, and you dare call me impulsive!"
"Look, someone’s getting anxious!" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Gongsun Ce laughed loudly, transforming into a formless and colorless wisp, flashing out from the six jade pieces, and appearing on the opposite side of the academy in a blink. Liu Zhongwu furrowed his brows, too busy to engage in banter: "A Virtual Body Spell carrying arrogant demonic intent... what origin?"
He muttered, but his hands didn’t stop. Taking out an old book from his arms, he quickly flipped it to craft a brand-new array. Six jade pieces melted in unison, transforming back into Demon-Subduing Pestles, swords, mirrors, and many more weapons. But before the array change was halfway through, Gongsun Ce’s next move arrived. The Heavenly Demon’s Arm silently appeared, a finger reaching out to turn Liu Zhongwu’s array into ashes!
Liu Zhongwu’s eyes widened: "A Formless Demon... Transforming in the Heavenly Realm? Manifestation Method cultivating a Heuristic Demon, what madness?!"
"Going to battle and still rushing to read, Liu Sheng your skills really aren’t up to par!" Gongsun Ce mockingly sighed, then pointed, "Watch out."
Liu Zhongwu saw a cross-shaped concealed weapon forming from the Heavenly Demon’s hand and hurriedly flipped the book to construct a defensive array. Unexpectedly, at the moment the concealed weapon left the hand, it bizarrely transformed again into an iron chain long and thin like a rope. The chain bypassed Liu Zhongwu’s array, striking his body directly, and in the blink of an eye, wrapped around him. Liu Zhongwu struggled with all his might but couldn’t move. Situ Yi exclaimed in amazement: "Oh no, it’s hit~"
Liu Zhongwu, dragged forward by the chain and stumbling, immediately cursed in anger: "Your brother’s been hit and you’re still watching? Idiot, come out and fight!"
"Hmm."
A flash of dim yellow light, and the binding chain shattered into countless fragments. A figure in a green robe descended gracefully, scattering short knife-like blades as they came, charging barehanded. Gongsun Ce’s field of vision was instantly overtaken by gusts of fists and palms, the green-robed person’s attack wave-like, relentless, each strike to empty space producing a sharp sound of tearing air. Gongsun Ce moved his feet quickly, retreating without letting a single piece of clothing brush against the opponent’s moves. Seeing this, the green-robed person changed from palms to fists, with a forceful downward smash. Their fists brushed past Gongsun Ce, striking the ground, which immediately shattered into powder, and within a meter, the floor caved in, grotesquely resembling an extraterrestrial meteor crash.
