Supreme Alchemist-Chapter 2455 - 2445 Release
Chapter 2455: Chapter 2445 Release
"It is indeed Junior Monk."
With an appreciative glance at Long Yan, Release nodded, realizing that connecting the clues from the Eastern Monk’s Room and the Western Monk’s Room actually made it easy to discover that the tragedies of this temple were all caused by Release alone.
However, Release might not have thought that Long Yan didn’t actually investigate the Western Monk’s Room thoroughly; he just lured Ming Zhu out and killed it. Actually, there was a bit of uncertainty in Long Yan’s heart, but he didn’t expect Release to admit it so straightforwardly.
"Why? Do you still want to stop me now?"
The Magic Gun appeared in Long Yan’s hand. Long Yan pointed its tip at Release in the air and asked, though it was merely a facade, as waves of pain kept surging through his body.
Seeing Long Yan’s condition, Release shook his head.
"Of course not. Junior Monk now wants to keep Benefactor here, which is simply impossible. This is just a Spiritual Symbol of mine; if it were the Benefactor, he could surely open this Space with ease."
Indeed, the Space where Long Yan is now isn’t actually the previous temple; it’s a Space created either by Release or others. Yet, Long Yan simply wouldn’t believe that Release could create it because those capable of creating Space are no Simple characters. If Release was such a character, he wouldn’t need to waste words with Long Yan, even at his peak strength, let alone now, after being seriously injured.
"Then why exactly are you here?"
Long Yan’s voice trembled slightly; he was constantly gathering his Power to prepare for battle and had no time to heal his wounds.
"Amitabha, Junior Monk is here for that corpse on your shoulder."
Release clasped his hands together, uttered a Buddha’s name, and pointed at Li Mu’s corpse on Long Yan’s shoulder.
"Impossible, I promised to take him out; I won’t break my word."
Long Yan refused directly without thinking, but Release’s reaction was strange; he merely nodded humbly, keeping his hands clasped, and said.
"Rightly so, rightly so; then may Benefactor soon ascend to bliss."
Long Yan was amused by Release here and decided in the end to fight anyway.
From behind Release, beams of pure white light emanated, looking like Buddha’s Light, yet not quite; having killed so many people, how could it be Buddha’s Light? Then a murderous aura enveloped Long Yan. It’s hard to imagine that a monk would have such a massive murderous aura.
In an instant, the Buddha’s Light shot towards Long Yan. Beneath Long Yan’s feet emerged a cerulean ice ring. Then, centered on Long Yan, a giant ice crystal rose swiftly, continuously expanding its size, absorbing moisture from the air.
The pure white Buddha’s Light illuminated the crystal, causing it to melt continuously. Release was still chanting Buddhism incessantly, although unintelligible, Long Yan knew it was Buddhism, genuine Buddhism, not some dark arts.
Long Yan looked gravely at Release in the air. This person was too peculiar; clearly still a monk, yet full of murderous aura. Even the Buddha’s Light he wielded had such Attack power, appearing in a ghastly white.
"No, we can’t drag this out any longer."
Long Yan felt his body’s injuries worsening, slapped the gate, causing the entire Space to tremble, and the gate originally embedded in the Space opened.
Release watched Long Yan carry Li Mu’s corpse and run out, intuitively feeling this person would surely return, so he did not stop him; he merely paused slightly in the air.
"Ming Zhu and Ku Hai are dead; seems next time I’ll need to find other people."
Release muttered to himself, then slowly disappeared into the air, leaving the temple to return to silence once more.
"Finally made it out."
Long Yan clutched his wound, resolved, someday he would return to this place to eradicate the harm it caused to so many. As for Release, the next meeting would surely see his head taken.
Looking at the familiar Forest ahead, Long Yan sighed with relief; it seems he finally escaped, though the only regret is only bringing out Li Mu’s corpse. Waving a hand, a red gleam flashed, and a sizable Pit appeared on the ground.
"Li Mu, you shall lie here."
Long Yan gently placed Li Mu in the Pit, using True Qi to bury Li Mu’s corpse, then leaped, disappearing into the air with plans to heal and do some things once recovered.
Just after Long Yan turned and left, the Old Madman arrived at Long Yan’s departure point. He clearly sensed the Talisman on Long Yan nearby, yet saw no sign of Long Yan.
The Old Madman looked around; aside from the temple, only the soil in front seemed disturbed, as if someone had recently dug a Pit in front of him. The Old Madman shook his head helplessly, no wonder he felt Long Yan was just staying put; turns out he had removed the Talisman from his body.
With cloudy Eyes seemingly wanting to see through the ground, the Old Madman sighed lightly and entered the nearby temple.
Release, sitting cross-legged, opened his Eyes, sensing a formidable person entering the Space, whose terrifying strength made the Space tremble lightly. Having lost two "Great Generals," Release could only go forth himself.
"May I ask what brings Benefactor here?"
Just after Long Yan left, another arrived; the Old Madman examined the surroundings. There was True Qi from Long Yan in the air, indicating Long Yan indeed lingered here for a long time.
"Have you seen a young man, hmm?"
The Old Madman observed Release carefully, suddenly sensing something amiss.
"I didn’t expect, given my Seal for so many years, I could still produce such things."
Muttering to himself, yet Release looked seriously hit; this old man could see through his true self.
He mustn’t be left alive!
Release gathered a pure white Buddha’s Light in his hand, intending to strike first and kill the Old Madman.
"Don’t bother; you certainly cannot defeat me."
Unexpectedly, the Old Madman spoke calmly; he had roughly deduced the happenings here, casually flinging open the gate.
"Why are you leaving just like that?"
Release looked puzzled as the Old Madman turned to leave. He was right; if the Old Madman wanted to kill him, it would be easy, yet he offhandedly let him go, leaving Release perplexed.
"Are you so eager to die?"
The Old Madman turned his head, Eyes flashing with an obscure light.
Meanwhile, since the last chase, Cracked Earth Bear had been hiding at home. That temple was too terrifying, so it dared not even leave its den these days.
"Hey, Little Bear!"
