Supreme Dragon Lord-Chapter 317: The Mysterious Space!
Chu Lingjun looked bewildered. She tried to find an exit, only to discover she was in a sealed space with no idea where one might be. Besides her confusion about the current predicament, she was terribly worried about Long Chen’s safety. She had no idea what his situation was now. She dared not dwell on the possibilities and could only pray that he could safely escape this disaster and not fall into Cai Bin’s hands.
What should I do now?
At this thought, Chu Lingjun’s delicate brows knitted together tightly.
This place was dense with lightning, accompanied by Heavenly Tribulation. A single misstep meant grave danger. She knew full well that if she couldn’t find an exit, she wouldn’t last long in her current state. Left with no other choice, she endured the excruciating pain wracking her body and pressed onward, searching for any chance of escape.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Above her, lightning flickered intermittently, emitting deafening sounds that were utterly terrifying.
Chu Lingjun’s nerves remained taut as she vigilantly watched for the Heavenly Tribulation erupting in the sky. She spent the next while cautiously exploring the space. She discovered the magnetic field here was incredibly strong, greatly interfering with the circulation of her battle qi. As a result, finding an opportunity to treat her injuries became exceedingly difficult. With no other options, she could only postpone her healing and wait for a better chance.
Continuing on, Chu Lingjun found several dark fissures within the space, each containing an extremely powerful force. Before she even got close, a powerful pressure, as heavy as Mount Tai, washed over her, making it difficult to breathe.
What are these dark fissures? Are they another space entirely?
Chu Lingjun eyed the dark fissures warily. Until she understood the situation, she dared not act rashly, fearing she might make an irreversible mistake.
Yet, the more vigilant she was, the more it seemed the space was conspiring against her. Before she could get any closer, a powerful suction force suddenly burst forth from a dark fissure, engulfing her completely!
Chu Lingjun’s heart seized with alarm. She spun around and frantically circulated the battle qi in her body, trying to resist the pull. But with her internal injury, she was simply unable to withstand such a powerful force. In the blink of an eye, she was sucked into the dark fissure.
THUMP!
After a long, dark passage, Chu Lingjun was violently slammed onto the ground. Excruciating pain shot through her body, and a look of agony twisted her delicate features.
She was rendered speechless. After being so cautious, she had still been sucked into this place. She was already clueless about how to get out, and now she was trapped inside a dark fissure.
Am I really this unlucky? I didn’t die at the hands of Wang Chong, only to perish in this lifeless, godforsaken place?
Shaking her head with a sigh, Chu Lingjun slowly climbed to her feet. As she looked around, she noticed this place wasn’t much different from the outside. The magnetic field here, however, was even stronger. The Power of Thunder was also purer and more mysterious, but thankfully, the Heavenly Tribulation was absent.
The space was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Even Chu Lingjun’s own ragged breathing sounded unnervingly loud. An unusual sense of mystery pervaded the area.
After a few seconds, Chu Lingjun shook off her stupor and began to walk forward cautiously.
Suddenly, a boisterous laugh echoed from not far away.
Hearing the sound, Chu Lingjun’s heart tightened. "Who’s there?" she called out, raising her head and moving toward the source of the voice.
Soon, she spotted what looked like a human figure ahead. She slowed her pace, advancing cautiously.
Seeing that the figure remained motionless, Chu Lingjun’s delicate brows furrowed, but she soon understood why. She discovered that a magnetic field of lightning enveloped the figure, and their body was bound by crackling lightning.
Only then did Chu Lingjun’s tense heart relax slightly. Feeling more at ease, she approached the figure.
The woman’s long hair was disheveled, and her torn clothes bore scorch marks and numerous bloodstains. She had an extraordinary air about her; her face was covered in grime, but it couldn’t hide her clearly delicate skin. She was, in fact, over fifty years old, yet she appeared to be in her early thirties.
As Chu Lingjun drew near, the woman’s tightly shut eyes snapped open, staring straight at her.
Chu Lingjun felt a jolt and subconsciously took a step back, taken aback by the fierce, oppressive look in the woman’s eyes.
The woman looked at Chu Lingjun and burst into loud laughter again, her emotions running high with excitement. She stared at Chu Lingjun as if looking at her lifeline.
Her eyes gleamed as she spoke. "I didn’t expect it! I really didn’t expect it at all! In this godforsaken place where you can’t even find a ghost, I didn’t think someone else would come in. Am I dreaming?!"
After saying this, the woman again laughed hysterically, almost bursting with joy.
Chu Lingjun simply stood to one side without a word, as the woman’s grating laughter echoed endlessly through the space.
It wasn’t until the woman’s laughter subsided that Chu Lingjun finally asked, "Who are you?"
The woman shook her head. "Who am I? That doesn’t matter anymore." She lifted her head to gaze at Chu Lingjun. "How did you get here?"
Chu Lingjun regarded the woman warily. However, she relaxed her guard slightly, reasoning that since the woman was bound by those thunder silks, she was powerless to cause any harm. So, she answered truthfully, "A spatial rift suddenly appeared. Before I could react, a powerful suction pulled me in here."
"Senior, what exactly is this place?" she asked. "How can I get out?!"
The woman’s eyes lit up upon hearing this, and a smile touched her lips. She knew it had taken her an immense amount of effort to enter this spatial rift. Yet she hadn’t expected that the young woman standing before her had been pulled in by the rift itself.
Now, this has become interesting.
She smiled at Chu Lingjun. "If you want to leave, you’ll have to do as I say!"
