This Forbidden Zone was a huge basin where the sky was always covered with thunderclouds continuously spewing lightning.

The intensity of lightning strikes increased as they approached the central layer: they were rare on the outer layer, frequent on the middle layer, and the central layer resembled a real hell.

In two days, Nemo and Lina only managed to get to the "Valley of Lightning" and explore its outer layer, slowly moving towards the middle one.

To Idan's surprise, the ground here was not completely scorched: the outer layer was covered with fertile meadows with flora adapted to electricity, and the central layer was the epicenter of a storm with "death zones".

The outer layer was covered with dense vegetation, which accumulated a charge of lightning, and was rich in a variety of resources related to the element of lightning.

The rocks were covered with mosses, which accumulated a static field. According to Nemo and Lina, if you walk over them, you can get a lightning strike, but surprisingly, they also have the ability to heal small wounds.

"So Lina has already managed to form her second Beast Soul?" asked Idan.

"Yes, that's why we spent the night in the Kingdom," Nemo replied through a mental link.

At that moment, there were five of them: Idan, Nemo, Lina and her Doppelganger, as well as Kitty in the form of a kitten, which Lina gently hugged.

Kitty adored her cat form, and although she was also a Doppelganger, she especially liked this form.

She spent most of her time with Nemo, but from time to time she returned to Limbo to enjoy the company of her ancestor Geminia and other relatives.

Being the only one of all the Doppelgangers who inherited all the traits and abilities of her ancestor, she was very popular among the other Doppelgangers, and they treated her with the same respect as Geminia herself.

But in the hands of Lina and Nemo, she was like an ordinary little kitten that everyone loves and pampers.

"Lina, have you noticed any beasts for yourself?" asked Idan, looking around with interest.

This place seemed to him to be a real storehouse of knowledge, and he could feel his body reacting to the lightning element in the air. His weak understanding of this element was slowly but surely increasing.

Lina, having an affinity for lightning, like Idan, and having a high level of understanding, confidently led them, skillfully avoiding dangerous areas.

"A little fox cub with big ears? Is it a fennec?"— Nemo's words instantly evoked in Idan's memory the image of a small desert fox with big ears, who lived in their world even before the disaster.

"I wonder if the Fennecs have survived in our world? Maybe they've even evolved?" wondered Idan, turning to himself.

"Fennec?" — Lina asked, turning to Idan, her eyes burning with curiosity.

"There is a fox in our world that is very similar to the description Nemo gave," Idan replied.

Lina really liked the two little foxes she saw in the Kingdom. Yesterday, when she saw a similar beast here, associated with the element of lightning, she was seized by an irresistible desire to tame it.

If Lina had already formed a second Beast Soul back then, she would have been able to tame the fox she met.

"Have you considered signing a contract with lightning phoenix?" asked Idan, remembering his master's second contract.

"Phoenixes live in the central layer, and besides, they are very secretive creatures," Nemo replied. He added, "The Master said that she herself did not know about their existence until the phoenix appeared in front of her, witnessing her amazing phenomenon, her 'Spirit Form.'"

"Moreover, Lina doesn't consider any other beast as her second contract after meeting that fox cub," Nemo said with a chuckle in his voice.

Because of the mask on Nemo's face, Idan couldn't see his expression, but he was sure he was smiling at Lina, and he could understand his feelings a little.

"If Belle was here and wanted to tame this fox cub, would I refuse her?" — he asked himself and immediately replied: "Of course not, I would try to help her with this."

Soon, their group, exploring the outer layer and occasionally stopping to gather the necessary resources, finally noticed the beast that Lina so wanted to tame.

"The fox cub really looks like a fennec, only the fur is purple," Idan remarked.

Remembering how Milica was able to tame the lightning rabbit, Idan decided to help Lina and bought two more candies stuffed with the purest element of lightning inside.

"Try using this to get the fox cub's attention," he said, handing her one candy.

Lina was slightly surprised to feel the energy inside the candy.

Quickly realizing Idan's intentions, she nodded and headed towards the fox cub.

The fox cub was alone and, noticing Lina's approach, became alert. He wanted to run away, but Lina took out a candy, and his attention was immediately attracted by this candy.

Lina took her time and didn't make any sudden movements.

"If Lina succeeds and the fox cub asks for such candies in the future, contact the Master, I have already given her the recipe for making it," Idan sent messages to Nemo so that he would know where to get the treat.

As soon as the fox cub tasted the candy, he immediately became so obedient and did not even try to resist when Lina attempted to sign a contract with him.
