Like all Forbidden Zones, the Valley of Stones was divided into three layers: outer, middle and central.

The deeper you went and crossed the boundaries between the layers, the more dangerous the situation became.

In the Valley of Stones, there were rocks and sand all around. There were few plants growing in the outer layer, but even those were unique, adapted to the harsh arid environment.

The temperature here was not as high as in the Lava Lake. It was warm during the day, but not too hot, and even cool at night.

From time to time, a cursed sandstorm swept through the valley, which cast a petrification curse on everyone who fell under its influence.

The curse manifested itself in the fact that a person's skin began to crack and harden, weighing him down. And if petrification affected the lungs, it became very difficult to breathe, and the person quickly tired.

These were the harsh conditions prevailing in the Valley of Stones.

However, when a Temple appeared in the valley, the danger hidden in it increased many times.

The cursed sandstorms that were already frequent in these places now appeared with frightening regularity, as did the attacks of the stone creatures that lived in the valley.

Two Diamond—ranked creatures and three Platinum-ranked creatures- that was the strength of the group that challenged the Forbidden Zone of the Valley of Stones.

The three swordsmen — Lina, Liam, and Alois — boldly advanced, paving the way and easily cutting through all obstacles with their honed swordsmanship.

They were followed by Aliya, who played the role of healer and support. Every time the group was caught in a sandstorm, she would put Light protection on everyone, protecting them from curses.

Furthermore, Aliya would occasionally use a power recovery spell, allowing the group to move forward without stopping despite being tired.

Aliya was followed by Eulalia, the magician of the element of wood and the leader of the group. She closely monitored the actions of all the participants, guiding them, as well as protecting the rear of the group.

When new stone golems appeared in front of the group, Liam and Alois did not have time to react, as lightning flashed in front of them, and Lina appeared in front of the enemies in the blink of an eye, surrounded by purple lightning.

Her gaze was full of determination and some bitterness. Gripping the hilt of her sword tightly, she gritted her teeth and poured a huge amount of her Soul Power and Lightning Elemental energy into it.

Lina didn't have the slightest intention or thought of holding back or refusing to use her lightning element.

Zing!

A sharp and ringing sound sounded, and many bright purple lights flashed in front of Lina.

The sharp aura of the sword easily sliced through the golems like butter, and the lightning element, following it, crushed the hard stone into splinters with a crash.

In a split second, the group of golems was destroyed, and their fragments scattered around, getting lost among the many stones.

"Let's go," Lina said, sighing heavily and loosening her grip on the hilt of her sword. She felt herself getting weaker, but she wasn't going to give up. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Lina was very angry at the Supervisor of the Forbidden Zone for abducting Nemo, and even more so for breaking their bond.

When she received Nemo's power earlier, Lina was very happy.

She was glad to know that Nemo was okay, since he shared his stats. However, her joy quickly turned to anger when her connection with him was forcibly severed.

"Ahh!" Lina moaned as the bright light of the element of Light fell on her.

Fatigue began to recede, and some of the lost strength was quickly restored.

"Thank you, Aliya," Lina said, smiling for a moment and looking at her gratefully.

Aliya nodded at her silently.

Liam and Alois looked at Lina with admiration. What she showed them was a true work of swordsmanship.

Only Eulalia was slightly displeased and frowned at the whole picture. They hadn't even gone through the outer layer yet, and Lina was investing too much, ignoring her condition.

"Lina," Eulalia said, but she continued walking forward as if she hadn't heard her.

"Lina!" repeated Eulalia louder and at the same moment cast a spell. Numerous roots burst out from under Lina's feet, which in the blink of an eye first wrapped around her leg, and then her entire body, securely holding her in place.

Lina was caught off guard, but realizing who had shackled her, she did not resist.

"What are you doing, Eulalia?" Lina asked when Eulalia approached her. "Let me go. We need to hurry."

The others, surprised, watched them in silence.

"Calm down, Lina," — Eulalia asked. "I do not know what provoked you so much, but try to control your anger."

"I'm worried about Nemo too," she confessed. "He's not just an acquaintance of mine, but my dear younger comrade, like Idan and Arabel."

"We haven't even reached the middle layer yet, and if you keep doing this, you'll quickly get tired and instead of helping, you'll become a burden to the whole team," Eulalia said. "Trust me, it's only going to get harder."

Eulalia said this based on her experience, realizing how much the Forbidden Zones differ from the usual state and from the state of the trial.

Lina, noticing the glances of Eulalia and the others, realized that she had behaved too recklessly because of her anger. This anger awakened her irascible nature, which she had suppressed for most of her life.

Closing her eyes, Lina began to perform breathing exercises, gradually calming her anger and returning peace to her soul.

"I'm sorry," she said, opening her eyes, and her gaze became calm and confident again, as usual.

Eulalia noticed with a smile that Lina was listening to her words. Satisfied with that, she nodded and dispelled her spell, freeing Lina.

A satisfied smile appeared on Aliya's face, as did the two men.

Alois was pleased with how Eulalia, as the leader of the group, was able to resolve the problem even before the situation could worsen.

Meanwhile, his disciple Liam's eyes were burning with admiration as he looked at Eulalia.

"Well, shall we go?" asked Eulalia, and having received the consent of all the participants, the group continued on their way.

By the night of the first day, they had reached the boundary of the middle layer and entered the middle layer.

And at the end of the second day, they reached the border of the central layer.
