Supreme Taming Authority-Chapter 51: Return and Summoning
Yu’er was safe. That was the most important outcome. The disaster from his past life had been averted. She would live, would continue her cultivation journey, would grow stronger.
The timeline had been changed.
But new complications had emerged. The Four Spirits Sect’s existence. Their infiltration of the Four Symbols Sect. The treasure Yu’er had found that made them willing to kill for it.
And the mysterious resonance he’d felt. The treasure calling to his Chaos Spirit Root.
’One problem at a time,’ he told himself. ’Yu’er is safe. That’s enough for now.’
They reached the edge of the secret realm. The barrier was completely gone now, leaving the ruins open to the outside world. The three of them stepped through the threshold and back into the normal landscape beyond.
The sun had fully set. Night had fallen while they were inside the realm. Stars glittered overhead, and a cool breeze swept across the hills.
"Can you make it back to the city, Young Master?" Elder Qiu asked with concern. "We can carry you if needed."
"I can walk," Xian Tiandi replied. The Qi Restoration Pill was still working, slowly replenishing his reserves. "But we should move quickly. It’s been a long day."
Elder Feng nodded. "Agreed. Let’s return before anyone starts worrying about our absence."
They set off at a steady pace, leaving the Crimson Ruins behind. The ancient structures faded into the darkness, and soon they were back on the dirt path leading toward the city.
Xian Tiandi glanced back once. The secret realm was invisible from this distance, just another collection of old ruins scattered across a valley.
But he knew the truth. Knew what waited there in the depths.
A treasure. Something valuable enough to resonate with his Chaos Spirit Root. Something he needed to claim before anyone else discovered it.
’I’ll return,’ he promised silently. ’Soon.’
For now, though, he had other priorities. Rest. Recovery. And making sure Yu’er was truly safe once she woke.
The fight against the Four Spirits Sect’s conspiracy could wait until tomorrow.
Tonight, he would rest.
And plan his next move.
...
The journey back to Crimson Lotus City passed in relative silence. Xian Tiandi walked between Elder Feng and Elder Qiu, his mind still processing everything that had happened at the secret realm.
Yu’er was safe. The Four Spirits Sect’s ambush had failed. And somewhere in those ruins, a treasure waited that resonated with his Chaos Spirit Root.
But for now, rest was the priority.
They reached the western gate as the first hints of dawn began painting the eastern sky. The guards recognized them immediately and opened the gates without question.
The city was still mostly quiet at this early hour. Only a few merchants and early risers moved through the streets, preparing for the day ahead.
When they arrived at the Xian Clan compound, they found it in a state of controlled chaos. Word had clearly spread about the incident at the ruins. Servants rushed about, and several clan members stood in the courtyard discussing the situation in hushed voices.
Ying Yue was the first to notice their return. She rushed forward, relief flooding her face.
"Young Master! Thank the heavens you’re safe. We heard reports of a massive spiritual disturbance at the Crimson Ruins. The entire city felt it when that barrier collapsed."
"We’re fine," Xian Tiandi assured her. "Yu’er is being treated at the Four Symbols Sect. The situation has been handled."
Zhou Kang emerged from the adjacent compound, his expression tense. "Tiandi! What happened out there? The Zhou Clan elders said they felt Nascent Soul realm presences moving at incredible speeds."
"It’s a long story," Xian Tiandi replied. "I’ll explain after I rest. For now, just know that Yu’er is alive and the immediate danger has passed."
Elder Feng stepped forward to address the gathered clan members. "Young Master Tiandi acted with wisdom and courage tonight. Thanks to his quick thinking, a tragedy was averted. Let him rest now. We can discuss the details later."
The crowd dispersed slowly, though curious glances continued to follow Xian Tiandi as he made his way to his quarters.
Inside his room, he finally allowed himself to relax. The exhaustion from using Supreme Taming Dao hit him all at once. His legs felt like lead, and his spiritual energy reserves, though partially restored by the pill, were still dangerously low.
He sat on his bed and immediately entered meditation. The Chaos Dao Cultivation Technique circulated through his meridians, drawing in the surrounding spiritual energy and converting it to replenish his reserves.
Hours passed in deep cultivation. The sun rose fully, bringing warmth and light to the city. Servants moved quietly outside his door, careful not to disturb his recovery.
By midday, Xian Tiandi’s eyes opened. His spiritual energy had returned to normal levels. The dangerous depletion from earlier was gone, replaced by the steady strength of his perfected Qi Condensation realm cultivation.
He stood and stretched, feeling his muscles respond properly again. The forced use of Supreme Taming Dao had pushed his body to its limits, but proper rest had restored him.
A knock came at his door.
"Young Master?" Steward Han’s voice called from outside. "There’s news from the Four Symbols Sect. Miss Xian Yu has awakened and is requesting to see you."
Xian Tiandi’s expression softened slightly. "I’ll go immediately. Arrange transportation."
"Already prepared, Young Master. A carriage is waiting at the gate."
Within minutes, Xian Tiandi was being transported through the city toward the Four Symbols Sect’s local branch compound. The sect maintained several facilities in major cities for their disciples to use during missions or travel.
The branch compound was impressive. Tall walls surrounded multiple buildings arranged in a traditional sect layout. Guards in Four Symbols Sect robes stood at the entrance, their cultivation bases at Foundation Establishment realm minimum.
One of them stepped forward as the carriage approached. "State your business."
"Xian Tiandi, here to see Xian Yu," he replied simply.
The guard’s expression shifted to recognition. "Ah, the young master who saved Core Disciple Xian Yu. You’re expected. Please, follow me."
