Supremely Talented Tyrant-Chapter 1798 - 1999: Liang Yuwei Cried!!!
Upon hearing this, Hao Jian immediately understood why Liang Xiaohan was so angry. He must have had his reasons for doing what he did, otherwise, there was no need for such actions. Instead of answering Liang Xiaohan’s question, he lowered his head and looked below her, giving her a meaningful glance.
Originally, Liang Xiaohan was fine, but following Hao Jian’s gaze downward made her jump up in excitement, her face turning red, and she punched Hao Jian, saying, "Why didn’t you say so earlier!"
As soon as she said this, she immediately walked into the rest room. The rest room wasn’t just for resting; it was also a place where athletes changed clothes, so Liang Xiaohan took the sanitary pad Hao Jian bought for her and headed inside.
Once the door closed, she began changing inside. Meanwhile, Hao Jian stood outside as a lookout, smiling foolishly. Earlier, Liang Xiaohan had a leakage, staining a large spot on the back of her pants red. If she had quarreled with that bald-headed dean and he saw it, things would have gotten awkward.
So, he stepped in to pull her aside, firstly to calm things down and prevent the hot-tempered Liang Xiaohan from having a hard time in school later, and secondly, to avoid her embarrassment if the bald-headed dean saw it.
This explains Hao Jian’s earlier actions.
While he stood outside keeping watch and pondering these matters, Liang Xiaohan suddenly called his name from inside. He felt a bit strange and walked over.
The door was closed, but Liang Xiaohan spoke through it: "Go buy me a pair of pants and a shirt, this set is stained and unwearable."
Hao Jian laughed when he heard this. He thought to himself, she should have asked him earlier. Now it seemed quite delayed, but he couldn’t blame her. Smiling, he agreed and went outside to buy a set of women’s clothes, then returned.
Through the door, he passed the clothes to Liang Xiaohan, and as she reached out to take them, he caught sight of her fair arm, momentarily mesmerized. If it were someone else, he might have peeked further, but remembering that Liang Xiaohan was Liang Yuwei’s cousin, he averted his eyes out of propriety.
A minute later, Liang Xiaohan, dressed in new clothes, emerged, holding a black plastic bag filled with the stained items. She headed towards a trash can, tossed the bag inside, and then clapped her hands to lightly hit Hao Jian, saying, "Let’s go."
She walked ahead, and Hao Jian followed from behind. They left the rest room and the field. At this point, Hao Jian looked at her quizzically and asked, "Why aren’t you going to class?"
Liang Xiaohan replied, "I’m skipping, going to take you for some good food as a reward, so you won’t think I’m stingy after making you do so much without treating you to something."
Hao Jian grinned, surprised that Liang Xiaohan even had such a thought. He had assumed she was a "cold-blooded animal", but hearing this made him realize she still had some warmth in her. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
With a smile, he said, "Alright, let’s go then."
Liang Xiaohan ignored what Hao Jian said and led him to the far end of the field, the same place they had climbed over the wall last time, and together they climbed out of the school again. Liang Xiaohan walked into a narrow alley nearby, and soon the aroma of food wafted over.
Smelling the scent, Hao Jian became intrigued. Good food attracts customers, and this place certainly smelled enticing. It seemed Liang Xiaohan visited this spot often, as she navigated with ease and familiarity.
But just then, Hao Jian’s phone chimed with a special notification sound. Normally, he wouldn’t check his phone, but this sound was unique to Liang Yuwei’s messages, so he dared not ignore it.
Picking up his phone, he saw her message: "I’m waiting for you at the Meinyou Café. Come quickly, we need to talk."
Hao Jian frowned slightly after seeing the message. A couple of days had passed since that night, and neither he nor Liang Yuwei had reached out to each other, needing some quiet time. He wasn’t sure how to face Liang Yuwei, and she hadn’t contacted him either.
But now Liang Yuwei messaged him, insisting they needed to talk, which made his brow furrow anxiously. He patted Liang Xiaohan in front of him, saying he had something urgent to handle and would have to leave the meal for another time.
As Liang Xiaohan turned around, Hao Jian was already some distance away, and she looked annoyed. "Damn it, I finally felt like treating you to a meal, but you’re leaving midway, canceling on me," she fumed. "Fine, I’ll eat on my own."
She stomped her feet in frustration, glancing a few more times in Hao Jian’s direction before turning away, deciding to drown her bad mood with delicious food.
She resolved never to invite Hao Jian to a meal again, no matter what.
......
After Hao Jian left, he went to his parking spot, drove in the direction Liang Yuwei mentioned, and arrived at the café in a little over ten minutes. He parked, entered the café, went upstairs, and approached the location Liang Yuwei had indicated.
Upstairs, after a few steps, he saw Liang Yuwei seated, looking unhappy. He walked over and sat in front of her.
Liang Yuwei’s calm demeanor already hinted at her mood, and she didn’t notice Hao Jian until he sat down, at which point she looked surprised.
Then she said, "You’re here!"
Hao Jian nodded, his expression serious as he scrutinized her. He was puzzled why she called him so urgently, suspecting something serious had happened.
He looked at her inquisitively, waiting for her to speak, but she remained silent, so the two stayed wordless.
Finally, Liang Yuwei looked at him with a sorrowful expression, saying, "I’m sorry."
Hao Jian felt confused, wondering why she apologized without reason. He anxiously asked, "What’s happened? Is something wrong?"
To his surprise, Liang Yuwei’s eyes reddened, and tears began streaming down her cheeks. Not wanting Hao Jian to see her like this, she cradled her head, sobbing.
Seeing this, Hao Jian’s brow furrowed with concern, and he asked urgently, "What’s wrong? What happened?"
Despite his questions, Liang Yuwei continued to cry silently. After a moment, she lifted her head and met his eyes, her own red and swollen.
Hao Jian felt a pang of heartache, never having seen her cry so mournfully, like a child losing their beloved toy.
He said, "What happened? If someone’s bullying you, I’ll make sure they don’t see tomorrow’s sun!"
Upon hearing this, Liang Yuwei grasped Hao Jian’s hand tightly, seeking warmth, tears streaming down as she looked at him.
She tearfully said, "My dad forbids us from seeing each other. He wants me to leave you."
Hao Jian’s expression shifted dramatically upon hearing this. No wonder she cried so heartbreakingly; he had planned to resolve things with her father once he calmed down to spare her embarrassment.
But he hadn’t expected this sudden confrontation or for Liang Youzhen to directly order her to cut ties.
Realizing this, Hao Jian understood why she called him so anxiously and why she cried so deeply and apologized.
He felt guilty; if it weren’t for him, she wouldn’t be in distress, nor would this situation have arisen.
Feeling remorseful, he understood words would offer little comfort now; only a heartfelt embrace could ease her pain a bit.
So, he rose from his seat, sat beside her, and enveloped her in his arms, using his warmth to soothe her, hoping to gradually melt away her sorrow.
