After finishing the library room Rayne walked over to the other room. This space was meant to be much more versatile so she didn't want to take up too much space with tables and chairs.

She first walked over to the first shelf and began placing all sorts of stationary supplies: notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, markers, etc.

The next shelf was dedicated to all things art: pencils, markers, crayons, paints, paintbrushes, drawing paper, charcoal sticks, oil crayons, canvas, colored paper, glue, scissors, etc.

She smiled seeing the neatly stacked supplies filling the tall shelf. There were enough supplies to last a long time if people used them responsibly.

"Let's see, we should do music next then hobby crafts", she said, smiling.

When it came to music, she really wanted to fill the room with all of the instruments she had gathered up, but felt that it would be too suspicious. Instead, she decided to choose two instruments: piano and guitar.

She added a few wall hooks to hang the different guitars on the wall and turned to look where she wanted to place the piano.

While Rayne really wanted to place the grand piano down, she knew that would be too big and too grand for the space.

She opened her system panel and looked at all of the pianos she had. They were mostly electric keyboard pianos, but she did find one traditional upright piano.

Rayne decided to place it against the wall, by the window. She added a basket of sheet music to the self nearby, making sure there were pieces for every skill level.

The room felt a lot less empty after placing the piano, but there was still plenty of space left for a table and a few chairs.

The next section was dedicated to more crafts like sewing, knitting, and crocheting. There were many different varieties of cloth and yarn inside of Rayne's system and she took full advantage of them, stocking the shelves full.

She looked around the room with a happy smile. Although she didn't do a lot of physical activity, thanks to her system, she was still sweating buckets from the heat.

"I'll have to place a fan or something inside. Maybe I'll ask for solar panels to be installed here as well", she mumbled.

The only thing left was to fill the empty space with tables and chairs. She chose the same table and chairs that she used in the library room but only placed one long table down.

She looked at the empty corner and thought about what she could place there to finish off the room.

"Hmm, I don't want to add more instruments yet...let's see", she scrolled through her system panel, "Wait, this is perfect!"

Her finger tapped on a large storage chest that was the perfect size for the empty corner. She then navigated the system panel to outdoor sports activities, filling the chest with different balls, badminton sets, volleyball nets, cornhole sets, etc.

Finally, the rec center was done. She wasn't sure how long she spent setting up the interior, but it was a few hours at least.

She was sweating buckets and desperately wanted to take a cold shower to cool off.

As she walked back into the library, she noticed Julian fully sprawled out on the couch. Giggling, she walked over to wake him up.

"Hey, let's go home, I'm done here", she whispered.

Julian opened his eyes, "Hmm? Home? Okay".

His words were mumbled as he was still half asleep. Rayne helped him up out of the couch and led him to their house.

After she got Julian settled in bed, she went to the closest bathroom RV to take a shower. She hated going to sleep feeling sticky from sweat, so she pushed through her sleepiness to quickly rinse off.

She felt instantly relieved as the cool water touched her skin. Having spent all day outside, she felt very hot and uncomfortable.

"The joys of taking a simple shower", she said to herself as she dried herself with a clean towel.

After her shower she quickly went back home and hopped into bed, falling asleep with excitement for tomorrow.

The next morning Adam woke up early. He was used to waking up before sunrise and after having such a good night's sleep he was excited to take a look around his new home.

He walked outside not expecting to see anyone, but to his surprise, many people were already leaving their homes and walking out towards the opposite side of the clearing.

Brandon noticed the elderly man looking curiously at them and realized he was standing in front of the guesthouse.

"Hello there! You must be new here. Welcome to our settlement, my name is Brandon", he introduced.

Adam nodded and walked over, "I'm Adam, I just arrived last night. I'm from the city". He looked around at the rest of the people who were all walking to the area by the lake.

"Where is everyone going so early in the morning?", he asked curiously.

"Oh, we're heading towards the fields and pastures. Since it gets so hot during the day, we start our daily tasks before sunrise so we can hide from the sun during the day. Would you like to come and see?", explained Brandon.

Adam nodded, "Yes, I'd like to take a look around". ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Brandon smiled and walked him over to the small lake.

"This is the main water source for our settlement, everything from watering the fields to filling the shower tanks is taken from here."

Adam was impressed to find such a crystal-clear lake here but understood that it was most likely thanks to this lake that they were able to live comfortably in this heat.

After the lake, Brandon took him over to see the fields. They all had makeshift covers over them, hiding the plants underneath.

"We recently made these covers to protect the seedlings from getting burnt by the intense heat. Thankfully, this material worked really well and now the plants are growing even better than our initial harvest earlier this year."

Adam's eyes widened. The small plants were green and full of life.

"You guys are very capable. There are so many resources here that you could even make something like this to help the plants!", exclaimed Adam with a hearty voice.

Brandon smiled, "Yes, this place is like a small paradise. Most of us who joined later all felt like this place was magical."

They continued to walk through the fields, occasionally greeting the other farmers.

Adam couldn't help but notice how happy and healthy everyone looked. This was such a stark contrast from what he was used to in the city.

He originally felt that their small group was pretty well-off but after seeing how these people were living he felt that coming here was the best choice he ever made.
