Surviving The Fourth Calamity-Chapter 241 - 55 Jack’s Parents are Also Leaving (Extra - for the Unparalleled Heavenly Master with Ten Thousand Rewards)
Hill looked at the players on the deck and searched carefully, hoping to find one who could give him some specific information.
But soon, he couldn’t help but gape in astonishment: the sow seemed to have joined the Old Age Striking King and Cunlü for some playtime.
They had already gathered to have a tea party at the bow, spreading out a large blanket. In front of the Old Age Striking King and Cunlü were delicate cups and plates, and in front of the sow, a delicate silver tub.
The Old Age Striking King was busy filling that small tub with various cakes and desserts. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Hill held his forehead, almost doubting he was dreaming. What were those two thinking? If the sow really got used to eating that stuff, the boar would probably have to resort to selling itself to make money.
He looked up again to the side and, sure enough, noticed Hard Wind. He was with the boar, sitting quietly behind them.
Hard Wind was dozing off against the boar, which also had a tub full of food in front of it, probably brought out by Hard Wind itself, just an ordinary water tub.
Hill flapped his hands on his face a few times and said dejectedly, "It looks like the cassava field can be managed in terms of area."
Adrian was leaning on the window, engrossed in the spectacle, while Alice, seated on Hill’s lap, stood up and looked curiously, "Does this mean they’ll be raised by someone from now on? They won’t have to eat that horrible cassava anymore?"
"Yeah," Hill said slowly, "even their unborn piglets have caretakers."
These people fancy these two pigs, could it be considering their daughters growing up and coming to play in the future?
But Hill indeed heard Cunlü telling the Striking King how grateful their daughters would be to their godmothers in the future.
That would be a matter of decades later—are they planning too far ahead?
Given the sow’s speed in producing piglets, by the time Cunlü’s daughter really entered this world, Black Rose City might have to start a pig farm, wouldn’t it?
Snow Cloud Peak entered with a straight-faced look, his whole body stiff.
"Did you hear that?" Hill asked helplessly as the man seemed to hold back his laughter to the point of breathlessness.
"Baldy could form a Wild Boar Squad in the future," Snow Cloud Peak said somewhat absently, then gently closed the cabin door, plonked down on the ground, and began to cover his face as he laughed.
Alice was startled by him and only after a long while realized the man was crazily laughing.
After pondering for a while, Hill could feel that these people didn’t find anything strange about playing a game for 20 years, thinking it was normal to bring their children along.
So is this the result of advanced technology, that even playing an online game could turn into a family business?
Hill’s feelings were a mix of emotions, with waves of jealous sourness rolling continuously.
Although many emotions had slowly settled, for an earthwork man who still insisted on playing a few games after carrying buckets all day, having a game that he could play for a lifetime was truly an irresistible luxury in life.
Hill watched Snow Cloud Peak who seemed to have had his fill of laughter and directly asked, "Aren’t you planning to contract a Magical Beast?"
"How could we compete with the members for these Magical Beasts?" Snow Cloud Peak answered with a smile still on his face, "If those two pigs weren’t really fierce, causing most people to fail, Hard Wind might not have agreed to Cunlü’s abduction. Also, without the Striking King, Cunlü and that sow wouldn’t even be able to communicate."
"Why not?" Adrian suddenly asked.
"Forget about appearances, that sow is so fierce, she must resonate with the Sanda King," Snow Cloud Peak got serious. "It’s all about that ’I’m the number one mom in the world’ vibe!"
Hill silently gave him a thumbs-up and even lit an incense for him. Although Sanda King didn’t hear it, one of her lackeys, An Idler, just happened to be passing by outside. From his reaction, it was obvious he overheard.
"From what His Majesty the King implies, more of the Undead Tribe will come in the future," Hill said with a smile to Snow Cloud Peak. "Is it true that their numbers are expected to double?"
"The people coming in the future will probably resonate with the society here," Snow Cloud Peak commented. "But their aura clashes with ours, it might lead to a fight. Although it won’t happen so fast, William seems to only plan to open a small gap and let a few people in to see how it goes."
"Haven’t you guys been fighting all along?" Adrian asked, puzzled.
"How should I put it?" Snow Cloud Peak hesitated for a moment. "We fight with the Doomsday folks, right? Even though it’s a life-and-death battle, it’s just that, and it doesn’t involve our world. But if it really comes down to it with the new arrivals, we could even team up with the Doomsday crowd to beat them up. But if it really gets out of hand, it will definitely affect our side too!"
Hill nodded, indicating he understood.
Adrian summarized, "It’s like Spencer and I fighting over food, but if Noah joins the fray, we’d definitely hit him first. But if it goes too far, we can only alarm His Majesty the King and have him mediate the conflict, maybe even scold us?"
Snow Cloud Peak paused for a moment, then nodded and said, "Pretty much."
Hill looked at his numb face, filled with resignation: Why do we have to describe our conflict with the Doomsday families as children fighting over food? He couldn’t help but laugh.
Adrian did it on purpose, probably because of the conflict Snow Cloud Peak mentioned that wouldn’t affect their own world, but almost cost Hill his life.
Snow Cloud Peak quickly realized this too and immediately excused himself and left.
"The Undead Tribe, they really don’t take the people of this world seriously," Adrian still seemed upset. "If the God of Time and Space weren’t in control, they could be scarier than demons."
"There’s never a thing that only has benefits; there are always some negative impacts," Hill said nonchalantly. "It was my oversight last time, but as long as I don’t get involved in their battles, no one will deliberately come to kill me again."
"I need to give a heads up to the teacher, to stay away from the newcomers this time," Adrian stood up and said. "When the dusk is over, we’ll go back."
Hill nodded and informed the Undead Tribe outside that they had to disembark once dusk fell.
It was unclear if it was because they heard Hill’s words, but the already crowded deck saw even more movement among the Undead Tribe.
The failures were quickly kicked off the ship.
The clan leaders from the Alliance had arrived too, and they were maintaining order.
Many people were floating in the sky outside the ship, constantly recording videos. Hill listened with satisfaction as many ordinary players kept cursing the few Doomsday families.
Adrian’s ship seemed like anyone could board it, but actually, that wasn’t the case. The Defensive Magic Array was always active, and those who didn’t follow the rules could never get past that invisible barrier.
The way Adrian used to gauge the friendliness of the Undead Tribe was all linked to Hill’s side.
Tasks could still be undertaken in Hill’s Domain now, but these tasks required entry into the domain to be accessed. Those who had never done reputation tasks before could only sigh in envy.
The more benefits Hill brought to Snow Cloud Peak’s Alliance, the more those ordinary players would despise those trouble-making Doomsday families.
What you can’t have is always the best.
