Chapter 258: Chapter 63 The Sudden Attack of the Elf Princess_3

Hill returned to his room to change his clothes, filled with trepidation: Was his calm life about to be disturbed once more?

As Hill followed Fran down from the carriage and approached the King’s Hall, he realized that William too was prepared.

The welcoming path was lined with proud guards of the King’s Guard, while the remaining corners were occupied by the Undead Tribe.

Hill couldn’t help but curl his lip: William sure reacts fast!

Those Undead standing beside the Royal Palace were all those he had dealt with and witnessed over the past few days.

Guarding the entrance were the earnest Snow Cloud Peak and Perfect Bald.

The couple, Cunlü and Hard Wind, were hiding behind a pillar, stealthily waving at him.

"Why are they guarding the Royal Palace?" Adrian asked softly.

"They are all those who have made gains in my valley these few days," Hill said quietly.

After several moments of hesitation, Adrian finally confirmed with certainty, "His Majesty the King really gets things done."

Fran said impatiently from ahead, "After entering, shut up."

The two of them quickly closed their mouths and followed Fran into the hall.

Carl and Miller had already arrived and, along with a few other legendaries, were standing to the right of the central red carpet in the hall.

To the left stood the royal ministers and the commanding nobles.

Fran walked over to where Miller and the others were, gesturing for Adrian and Hill to stand behind, where Hensley, Phillips, and their group were stationed.

Hensley quietly introduced the two of them to these legendary inheritors: only Magisters and Sky Knights were qualified to stand here and greet each other. As inheritors of the legendaries, they were all aware of what happened yesterday. Everyone was cautious, exchanging brief introductions and greetings before continuing to stand silently.

Envoys from other nations arrived promptly, and upon arrival, quickly positioned themselves near where the Saral Nobles stood.

The Mage Association sent a different envoy, bringing along a Legendary. He walked in, pondered for a moment, and then stood behind Fran and the others, yet not joining them.

The lady from Sorcerer Tower glanced at Hill and softly walked over to stand beside them.

They had not brought any attendants with them.

It seemed, the well-informed mages also knew that today’s celebration could turn into anything.

Time flew, and as the celebration was about to officially begin, William was due to appear, yet the elves and dwarves still had not arrived.

Hill restrained the impulse to look around and once again focused his attention on Fran’s robe.

Adrian shifted slightly but ended up, like Hill, watching his teacher’s robe.

William, however, didn’t give anyone the chance to wonder and appeared punctually on the throne.

Then he waved his hand, signaling to close the doors of the Royal Palace.

Yes, not the King’s Hall, but the entire Royal Palace.

William truly was, an always reliable presence.

Unfortunately for the elf legends, they couldn’t hold out till the end; before the doors truly began to close, they swiftly flew inside.

Twelve elf mages, escorting a graceful princess wearing a long veil, stood before the King’s Hall.

The Divine Vein Princess took a step forward, just about to speak, when William brusquely interrupted her.

"Since you’ve arrived, quickly come in! Don’t waste everyone’s time!"

He stood up and, addressing the people in the hall and the audience watching through screens, smiled and said, "No need for further ado, celebrate this hearty and thorough victory!"
