"Hey! Captain! Are you really that afraid of your wife?" Zhao Dong sighed.

The captain’s wife only needs to glare at him, and he gets all flustered and nervous. Zhao Dong thought their captain would never get out from under her thumb.

An Hao was woken up by a clattering noise from outside. She was a light sleeper, and any sound could wake her up.

"He was the one knocking last night. He came over to report some things!" Qin Jian explained as he walked out of the bedroom. Seeing Zhao Dong just coming out of the bathroom, he frowned and said with disdain, "How can you make so much noise just washing your face?"

"I accidentally knocked over the basin." Zhao Dong laughed awkwardly, then suddenly felt wronged, "Captain, how can you do this? After all, I am a guest at your house! How can you treat a guest like this!"

"What kind of guest are you? In my house, you’re more at ease than I am," Qin Jian retorted.

"Hehe. Sorry about that. Captain, do you want to go for a run?" Zhao Dong asked as he put on his clothes.

"Give me five minutes."

By the time Qin Jian and Zhao Dong took the kids out for a run, An Hao couldn’t fall back asleep.

The sky outside was gloomy, and soon it started to rain.

She got up, did some cleaning around the house, and then started preparing breakfast.

By the time the hot breakfast was on the table, Qin Jian and Zhao Dong had just brought the kids back.

After breakfast, Qin Jian took the kids to kindergarten. Zhao Dong took An Hao to the hospital. When they arrived at the hospital entrance, An Hao got out of the car, opened her umbrella, and walked towards the hospital.

Zhao Dong turned the car around, intending to leave, but then he glanced out the window and unexpectedly saw the man who was hugged by Yuan Yunong on the street yesterday.

His eyelids twitched, so he parked the car to the side, and from a relatively hidden spot at the hospital entrance, he watched the scene in the hospital lobby.

"Dr. An!" Hua Jin stood with his hands in the pockets of his white coat, smiling as he watched An Hao walk towards him.

"Dr. Hua! What are you doing here?" An Hao closed her umbrella and shook off the rainwater.

"I’m waiting for you." He smiled, his eyes brimming with deep, unyielding affection.

An Hao lowered her eyes, automatically ignoring the emotions in his gaze, and with a politely detached smile, she said, "Why wait for me? You can perform surgery without me!"

"What if I said I couldn’t?" Hua Jin loved watching An Hao lower her gaze, her long lashes fluttering slightly, resembling the beautiful wings of a butterfly about to take flight.
