Chapter 100: Damien’s Call 100

He dipped his head, his lips moving slowly down to her neck. He inhaled deeply, taking in her intoxicating scent, and a low, satisfied hum rumbled in his throat. He stopped at the crook of her neck, his lips hovering for a moment before placing a soft, lingering kiss on the spot.

Adeline shuddered. An involuntary whimper slipped past her lips before she could stop it, her hands gripping his shoulders tightly. "That... tickles."

Enzo pulled back slightly, his blue eyes locking onto hers. His pupils were slightly dilated, the amusement from earlier replaced with hunger. Not for blood, but for her.

His hand slid up, fingers trailing along her spine before settling at the back of her neck. He nudged her forward. Then—

His lips crashed against hers, molding perfectly as he tilted his head, deepening the kiss, his fangs grazing her bottom lip. His grip on her waist tightened while his other hand stayed tangled in her hair, keeping her in place as he claimed her mouth.

Adeline gasped against his lips, her hands moving to grip the front of his shirt, bunching the fabric between her fingers.

Enzo’s tongue swept against her bottom lip before sliding into her mouth, tasting her. A deep groan vibrated in his chest as he tilted his head further, kissing her like he wanted to devour her.

His fingers dug into her waist, dragging her hips closer against his until there was no space left between them. His body was solid, his muscles taut beneath her touch.

Heat pooled in her stomach, a soft moan slipping past her lips, only to be swallowed by Enzo’s relentless kiss.

Her hands slid up from his shirt, tangling into his soft hair. She tugged slightly, and Enzo let out a low growl.

His fangs occasionally nicked her lip, creating barely noticeable cuts that earned him a taste of her sweet blood. It was an erotic tease that made his cock throb against her thigh.

His lips slid to her cheek, then her jaw, nibbling softly. He moved to the spot where her neck met her shoulder and sucked hard, making her gasp.

She threw her head back slightly, giving him more room.

Having had enough of her neck, he pulled back before capturing her mouth again. His kisses grew rougher. He kissed her harder and deeper until she could barely breathe.

He finally pulled back after a while, breaking the kiss, his forehead pressing against hers. They both inhaled and exhaled heavily, their chests rising and falling in sync.

Adeline’s lips were a bit swollen, slightly parted as she stared at him, her cheeks flushed.

Enzo smirked, his thumb brushing over her bottom lip, wiping away the moisture left behind, his voice husky as he whispered, "So, did that work? Are you still tired?"

Adeline shook her head, a soft chuckle escaping her lips as she buried her face against his shoulder. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"By the way, I was thinking... What if we went on a date?" he asked.

Adeline quickly lifted her head. "A date?" she repeated, pushing back just enough to look at him, one brow raised in mild surprise.

Enzo nodded. "Of course—that is if you want to. If you don’t, that’s alright—"

Adeline lifted a finger and pressed it against his lips, silencing him. "Sure," she said, smirking. "I’m down for it."

Enzo’s expression brightened, his fangs slightly poking out as he took her wrist in his hand and lifted it to his lips, placing a soft kiss on the back. "Very well then," he murmured against her knuckles.

His lips lingered for a moment before he finally pulled away, his fingers wrapped around hers. "I have a few things to take care of at my company, thanks to my little absence when we went to Vegas. But I should be done in a day or two, and then we can go."

Adeline hummed, resting her head against his shoulder again. "Alright," she mumbled, closing her eyes.

In one of the empty rooms of Damien’s castle, the stone wall rippled like the surface of disturbed water, twisting and swirling until a figure stepped through.

Andrei emerged, but the portal behind him remained open, its surface waiting for his return. It was made by Damien specifically for him—an entrance and an exit. It would remain until he passed through it again, closing only when he left the vampire world.

He took a moment to assess his surroundings, scanning the empty chamber before walking toward the door and pushing it open. The moment he stepped into the hallway, a strange feeling washed over him.

He was back home. The place where he had grown up. The place he had left behind when he followed Enzo to the human world.

He knew exactly where every turn led, where every door opened. Everything in the castle was exactly as it had been before. Not a single thing had changed.

His perfect memory traced every hallway and hidden passage. He could recall which path led to the training grounds, where Enzo had once broken his ribs after recklessly sparring with their father.

He remembered which stairway led to the old library, where Vincent would disappear for hours just to avoid being Enzo’s sparring partner. Every inch of this castle was embedded in his mind.

He had come back because Damien had summoned him, though for what reason, he still didn’t know. Vincent had brought him a letter a few weeks ago, written by Damien’s own hand, containing instructions on how to find the portal that would bring him back here. Andrei had debated whether or not to come, but today, he had finally made up his mind.

As he walked down the hallway, his fingers trailed along the stone walls, memories flooding his mind. He could almost see their younger selves running through these very halls—him, Enzo, and Vincent causing chaos wherever they went. Mostly Enzo, though.

A faint, nostalgic smile tugged at his lips.

He remembered dashing down the corridor with Enzo while Vincent chased after them. Vincent had always been the slowest, struggling and failing to catch them. He would eventually give up, collapsing onto the floor, upset, while Enzo and Andrei laughed at him.
