Sweet Revenge With My Billionaire Vampire-Chapter 86: Confession And Then...
She cleared her throat. "Who said I hated it?" she mumbled, folding her arms. "Like I told you, it was just my first time, that’s all."
Enzo cocked an eyebrow. "Oh? So you’re telling me that all that wailing this morning—’I kissed Enzo Laureati, I’m doomed!’—was just an act?"
She rolled her eyes, the flush on her cheeks deepening. "Fuck you."
"Since that’s the case," he said, moving in closer, his smirk fading into something more serious, "then I guess it’s time I told the truth too."
Something about his tone made Adeline’s heart skip a beat. She blinked at him, curiosity bubbling up inside her as she asked, "Tell the truth about what?"
Enzo exhaled softly, lifting both hands and cupping her cheeks, gently tilting her face up. "Adeline Smith, when I first met you, I felt nothing towards you."
Ouch. What a great way to start. Her brows furrowed, but she didn’t pull away.
"I just saw someone who could make my boring days on this earth a little more interesting. And you did. It’s not every day I get to protect a girl from her murderous uncles or take a bullet for her."
"But all this time, I didn’t realize something—until last night." A small smile flickered across his lips before fading just as quickly, his thumbs brushing against her skin.
He took a slow, deep breath, then finally said the words that had been sitting in his chest since the previous night. "I like you, Adeline. More than just friends."
The confession sounded almost stupid in his own ears, as if it should have been obvious by now. After all, she was his mate. They were destined to be. Even if he hadn’t felt anything towards her at first, it was almost inevitable—he would have fallen for her sooner or later.
That was how it worked for most vampires. But not all. Some vampires—although very rare—even if their dormant hearts beat upon meeting their mate, never truly fell in love. Some connections remained empty.
But that wasn’t the case for him.
Adeline’s face was as red as a tomato. Her entire body felt like it was overheating. Her head lowered instantly as she tried to hide her embarrassment, but she knew there was no use in doing so. Enzo already saw everything.
She inhaled deeply, steeling herself, and forced herself to look up again. Her eyes flitted about, darting everywhere but at him. "I also..." she started, but then hesitated.
Why was this so hard? She could insult him effortlessly, but when it came to saying something real, something honest, her throat felt like it was closing up. She exhaled, clenching her fists slightly before finally saying, "I also feel the same way about you."
She had developed feelings for him quite some time ago, but she was reluctant to acknowledge them. She was baffled at how an irritating guy like him was able to alter her feelings about relationships.
He dipped his head, his lips grazing her earlobe as he murmured, "I kind of already knew you liked me."
"By the way, does this mean you really meant what you said last night?" He asked, a sly smirk forming on his face as his eyebrows wiggled playfully. "About me being hotter with my hair down. Have you always thought that?
Adeline groaned, lightly kicking his knee in exasperation. "See? This is exactly what I’m talking about. You’re annoying."
Though the kick hadn’t hurt in the slightest, Enzo still winced dramatically, one eye snapping shut as he let out a low, teasing, "Ouch. You’re so mean."
But just then, he reached out, placing a single finger under her chin and tilting her head up, his gaze locking onto hers. His hand shifted, trailing over her skin before cupping her cheek, his thumb brushing lightly against the shell of her ear.
"So... does this mean we’re no longer just a fake fiancé and fiancée?" he asked.
Adeline scoffed. "What the fuck do you think that whole confession was for?"
A low chuckle escaped Enzo just before he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her against him and crashing his lips onto hers, kissing her deeply.
Adeline melted instantly, her body softening into his as she leaned in closer, her hands gripping onto him as if he might disappear if she let go.
With his lips never leaving hers, Enzo spun them towards the nearest bed, his strong arms keeping her close. With a gentle push, he sat her down. His fingers spread possessively at the back of her neck, tickling her skin as his tongue delved deeper into her mouth.
A shiver ran through her at the faint tickle, but her senses were overwhelmed by the intensity of the kiss. At that moment, she couldn’t feel anything else aside from the kiss. They were consumed only by the heat and tenderness of each other’s mouths.
"Mmm... Ngh..." she moaned.
The tiny, delicate sounds she made drove Enzo mad with desire. Each small noise was like a match striking against his self-control. He could feel his body growing harder, his arms tightening around her possessively as he deepened the kiss even more. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
His fangs itched, longing to elongate, but he suppressed the urge, keeping them at bay. As he withdrew, her breaths came in heavy pants, her face tinged red and adorably flustered. Her gaze, those wide blue eyes, peered up at him with an innocent look that made him want to devour her whole.
His arousal pressed painfully against the confines of his pants, demanding release. He leaned in, placing a trail of soft, open-mouthed kisses along her cheek and down her neck. Each press of his lips sent sparks dancing across her skin, leaving her shivering with pleasure.
His teeth sank into her soft skin, marking her with a dark red hickey as he groaned against her neck. His hand quickly moved to his pants, unbuttoning the fabric to free his growing cock. Even in its partially erect state, he was already impressively large, the size evident through his boxers.
