Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 20: Birthday
Julian Sinclair had a small evening dress made just for her, even though only the family could see it, the sense of ceremony was still necessary.
Moira Young took off her school uniform, removed the hair tie from her hair. It was her first time wearing an evening dress, first time wearing high heels, first time putting on makeup, and first time having a styling done.
Today, she was not only Julian Sinclair’s princess but also her own princess.
After today, she would be an adult.
"Miss, you’re so beautiful, do people often say you look like a Barbie doll?" The makeup artist placed a crown on Moira Young’s head, encrusted with sparkling diamonds. Although she had met many wealthy people, this was the first time she’d come across such a crown.
How lucky this young lady was to be associated with Julian, truly enviable.
Moira Young blushed and smiled, but didn’t reply.
After dressing up, she left her room. Her well-developed figure looking particularly enchanting under the tailor-made dress.
She walked slowly down the stairs, looking expectantly at Julian Sinclair, eager to see his reaction.
"Wow! The ugly duckling turns into a white swan?" Adrian Grant had been talking to Julian Sinclair, when he saw Julian’s eyes fixed somewhere, almost lost in thought. Only then did he turn to see Moira Young.
"When was Moira ever an ugly duckling?" Julian Sinclair shot him a sideways glance, "Watch your words."
Since two years ago, Julian Sinclair no longer slept with Moira Young, even during thunderstorms, he would only stay in her room until she fell asleep and then leave, never sharing the bed again.
When she was sixteen, she had just started to develop, but now she had become a perfect beauty with even her height increasing considerably.
"Adrian, who exactly is she?" Adrian Grant’s new girlfriend whispered in his ear.
"Don’t ask too much." The girlfriend, named Jessica, had met him just yesterday and was brought here to make Moira Young’s coming-of-age ceremony livelier.
"Her crown is so beautiful, I want one too." Jessica pouted slightly, genuinely liking the crown, which looked very expensive.
Adrian Grant patted her hand to comfort her, "Don’t dream about it, it’s one of a kind."
It was specially made for Moira Young by Julian Sinclair, one of a kind in the world, like signifying that Moira was irreplaceable in his heart.
Adrian Grant had long faced reality. He had tried so hard in the beginning to keep Julian from getting too deep, but when he saw even the self-controlled Julian losing control over Moira Young, he gave up.
"Why don’t you make one for me too?" Jessica sat on Adrian’s lap, pouting as if wanting to kiss him.
"I don’t have that kind of money! If you really want it, go find Julian." He playfully pinched her cheek, gently pushing her away.
"But, he probably wouldn’t pay attention to you."
Jessica was suddenly irritated, feeling she was no less than Moira Young in any way. Why couldn’t she have what Moira had? Why could Julian like her and not herself?
She suddenly had an idea. Just as dinner was about to end, she sneaked to the bathroom and sent Adrian a text saying she had to leave early due to something coming up.
Adrian, slightly intoxicated, didn’t think much of it and went home directly after dinner.
Moira Young also had a little to drink, but thankfully not too much. Seeing the somewhat tipsy Julian Sinclair, she couldn’t help but want to play a joke on him.
"Uncle, am I beautiful?" Moira Young leaned forward, her face only twenty centimeters away from his.
"Beautiful." Julian Sinclair raised an eyebrow; his Moira was certainly beautiful.
"Do you like me?" She eagerly leaned in a bit closer, taking advantage of the rare chance to tease him while he drank in front of her.
"Like." His eyes reflected Moira Young’s remarkably pretty face, slightly squinting, exuding a lazy and charming vibe.
"Then you—"
Moira Young leaned forward a little more but suddenly found she had inadvertently brushed his lips...
But... she was supposed to be in control of the distance...
Her cheeks immediately flushed, and she quickly pulled back, sneaking a glance at Julian Sinclair. Luckily, he seemed not to have noticed, or else it would have been awkward.
"Then what?" Julian Sinclair’s lips curled into a barely noticeable smile, looking particularly captivating under the grand chandelier.
Moira Young felt a bit heated, perhaps from wearing the dress too long, so she helped Julian Sinclair to his room.
Julian’s bedroom wasn’t that far from Moira’s. She thought to send him back first before returning but, after reaching his room and lying on the bed, she didn’t feel like moving anymore.
"Uncle, which university do you think I should apply to?"
"Whichever you like."
Moira pondered for a while, "What if it’s quite far from home?"
"Then move over there."
Moira felt secretly pleased. Over the past two years, her uncle had become more and more indulgent towards her. She felt she was living in a blissful bubble, greedily wishing to preserve it forever, never allowing it to fade.
"Uncle, you’re really good to me." Moira turned to hug Julian Sinclair. It had been a long time since she hugged him like this. She knew there was a difference between male and female, and she knew that in name, her uncle was her elder, but she still wanted to hug him.
Julian Sinclair’s body stiffened, feeling quite aware of Moira Young’s softness against him, suddenly becoming quite sober.
"Uncle, can you sleep with me tonight?" Moira Young loved the scent on Julian Sinclair, it was cool, noble, making her feel secure.
"No, you’re an adult now."
"Please, just tonight, just one night, okay, Uncle?" Moira Young was adept at acting coy towards Julian Sinclair. She might not talk much with others daily, but with her uncle, she had endless things to say.
"I’ll take you back to your room." Julian Sinclair didn’t want to indulge her in such matters. He knew he couldn’t control his feelings for Moira Young, so indulging her was like indulging himself.
Seeing her act of coquetry fail, Moira Young returned to her room feeling dejected.
Julian Sinclair personally removed the crown from her head and patted her on the head, "Moira, you’re an adult now. If I’m not around, you need to learn to be strong."
Moira Young laughed, "How could you not be around me?"
"I’m saying, if."
Julian leaned down, lovingly pressing a goodnight kiss on her forehead.
Moira Young watched Julian Sinclair’s retreating figure, feeling a bit dazed, time indeed flew by. She used to only reach his waist, but now she reached his shoulders, and now, in a hug, she could bury her head in his neck, something she never even dreamed of before.
Moira Young stretched and yawned, after a long day she needed a good rest.
She reached for the zipper in the back, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t reach it. She tried to take it off directly but got stuck at the chest and couldn’t remove it, no matter how many attempts.
Having no other option, she had to find Julian Sinclair.
"Uncle, can you undo my dress—" But as she opened the door, she saw an unbelievable scene.
