Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 22: Gift
Moira Young came out after a shower, and Julian Sinclair was lying on the bed, seemingly already asleep.
In the end, she was quite grateful to Jessica, because if it wasn’t for the show she put on, Moira Young wouldn’t have had the chance to sleep with Julian Sinclair.
She climbed onto the bed quietly, like when she was a child, found a comfortable spot, and lay down, closely sticking to Julian Sinclair, feeling his body warmth.
Just as she was thinking of reaching out to hug Julian Sinclair.
"Moira, you’re already grown up." Julian Sinclair suddenly spoke, in a drowsy state.
Moira Young softly hummed, puffing in anger and moved aside.
Julian Sinclair smiled slightly, patted her head to comfort her. He understood well that, in this girl’s mind, she simply wanted him to hold her while sleeping.
But Moira Young was still immature mentally, was he supposed to be the same?
What should be done and what shouldn’t be done, Moira Young didn’t know, but he had to be clear.
If he did something he shouldn’t, it would definitely scare her.
——
When Moira Young got up in the morning, she found Julian Sinclair was already gone. She had a bit to drink last night, and her head hurt a little.
Mrs. Miller made her some tea, which was more comforting to the head than thick milk.
On her way to school, she recited English words while looking out the window, just to suddenly seem to see a familiar figure, but when that person turned around, she realized she was mistaken.
It had been two years, she didn’t know if Heath Sterling’s resentment towards her had faded.
She happened to be at the English word ’trauma’, trauma, and she suddenly felt this word was really fitting.
"Miss, we’re at school." The driver had stopped the car for a while, seeing Moira Young daydreaming.
She snapped out of her thoughts, it was only a few days until the college entrance exam. To stay in this city, she had to get into Arden University, she didn’t want to leave Uncle.
Because Thea Thorne had transferred schools, no one in the class openly bullied Moira Young anymore. Occasionally, Carter Porter would offer help, so she had lived quite comfortably over these two years.
"Moira Young, was yesterday your birthday?" Carter Porter sat in the seat behind her.
She nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed, as her relationship with Carter Porter was quite good, yet she didn’t invite him to her birthday party yesterday.
"You know, my mom really likes you. She heard yesterday was your birthday and promptly bought a gift to give you." Carter Porter glanced around, saw everyone was studying, and boldly passed the gift to Moira Young.
The outer packaging was a very exquisite little box, wrapped with care.
This was the first gift Moira Young had ever received from someone outside her family, so it felt different. After all, Julian Sinclair often bought things for her, she was used to it and didn’t feel much surprise.
Normally, anything she wants is there, and even what she doesn’t want is there.
"Open it and see if you like it."
Moira Young simply didn’t hide her happiness, she opened it right in front of Carter Porter and found it was a star bracelet, very beautiful.
"Thank you, Carter, I really like it." Moira Young genuinely liked it, her voice soft and gentle, "Thank your mom for me."
"My mom said a girl’s eighteenth birthday should come with a pair of high heels, but high heels are too conspicuous, so I asked her to switch to a bracelet." Carter Porter was relieved when he saw she genuinely liked it, he had been worried she might dislike it.
"And also, the college entrance exam is coming soon, stars symbolize wishes, hoping you can get into Arden University."
"Oh, and there’s another gift, which is from me personally." Carter Porter took out another small gift box. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Moira Young felt like receiving another surprise, unexpectedly getting two gifts.
"Open this one at home." Carter Porter’s eyes dodged a little, he didn’t say much.
Moira Young nodded, curious about what was inside, eager to open it. She finally found the feeling of receiving a gift, very intriguing and joyful.
After school, Moira Young got on the car and started unwrapping the gift.
She opened the small box, inside was a necklace, very simple, with the initials of Moira Young’s name.
She wore the bracelet and necklace separately.
"YME."
She slipped her hand across these letters and recited them several times.
"Miss, what is YME, you’ve been reciting English words every day lately, I’m almost learning them, isn’t it the abbreviation for you and me?" The driver joked.
