Julian Sinclair went abroad for three days and hasn’t returned.
In the blink of an eye, it’s the day of the high school exams. Moira Young studied too late the night before, waking up in the morning feeling dazed, her head heavy.
She hurried downstairs but suddenly remembered she left her star bracelet on the nightstand, and rushed back to get it.
"Miss, slow down!" Mrs. Miller got nervous seeing her jump and run down the stairs.
"I’m fine!" Moira Young said, fastening her bracelet while descending the stairs, and then—
"Ah—!" Without noticing, she missed a step and rolled down the stairs!

Seeing she couldn’t be persuaded, Mrs. Miller immediately went to call Julian Sinclair after Moira left.
Moira Young arrived at the exam school, finding Carter Porter already there. She opened the car door to get out, realizing only her left leg could move, her right ankle was already swollen.
Carter Porter seemed to have been waiting for her, and when he saw her, he walked over immediately.
"What happened to your foot?" Carter Porter was a bit shocked to see her ankle so swollen.
"I had a fall, it’s nothing." Moira Young feigned nonchalance, but just one step was unbearable, pain surged through her, breaking out in a sweat.

The speaker turned out to be Thea Thorne, unchanged after two years.

"What are you talking about, transferred schools can’t shut your mouth!" Carter Porter never liked Thea Thorne, but since their parents knew each other, he couldn’t be too harsh.
Moira Young no longer looked at her, turned back around, the arm Carter Porter held slightly stiffened.
"I say, why does your girl look so familiar?" Thea Thorne’s intent was obvious; she walked alongside them.
"Let me think..." she provocatively remarked, "I remember now! Isn’t this your buddy’s ex-girlfriend?"
Thea Thorne noticed Moira Young’s necklace, her expression became quite peculiar.
Upon hearing this, Carter Porter instantly flared up, he didn’t mind what was said about him, but he couldn’t allow Moira Young to be spoken of this way.
"Thea Thorne, do you know why Heath Sterling doesn’t like you?" Carter Porter asked.
Thea Thorne stopped smiling, she was aware that Carter Porter and Heath Sterling were closest of friends, naturally wanting to know why Heath Sterling disliked her.
"Because of your mouth that never lets up!"
"He likes gentle and sweet girls, are you one?"
Thea Thorne looked at Moira Young, her hatred silently increased, the person Carter Porter was talking about was obviously Moira Young! What was the point of these veiled insults towards her!
