"...Let me reintroduce myself. I am Rakhsahsa II, the current Red Dragon King. Since ascending to the throne, I have not had the chance to thank the Savior for his mercy in the last war. You spared my life when you had every right to take it, and for that, I offer my deepest gratitude"

The voice rumbled with a strange mix of pride and humility, resonating from the massive, crimson-scaled dragon whose wings loomed like storm clouds overhead.

Though his eyes burned with the same fire as his predecessor, there was a youthful restraint behind them, an effort to control the rage inherited from the title he now bore.

This was the young king, now Rakhsahsa II, named after the former Red Dragon King, the very one Taufik had slain in battle.

Arman furrowed his brow and crossed his arms, his scaled form shimmering with hues of jade and emerald. His sharp eyes locked onto Rakhsahsa II, unimpressed.

"Is that all?" Arman's voice was sharp, cutting through the tension like a blade. "You must have other intentions. You didn't come here with an army just to offer thanks. You know full well that your presence here violates the agreement we signed after the war. So tell me, what are you really after?"

Rakhsahsa II paused, then slowly turned his massive head toward Taufik. The air around him shifted, no longer heavy with royal arrogance, but filled with something closer to reverence.

Then, in a gesture few dragons ever gave to anyone but their own kind, he bowed his head.

"Yes… What the Green Dragon King says is true. I am here, with my legion, not to provoke war, but to seek an audience with 'The Savior'..."

Taufik's eyes narrowed, the air around him subtly shifting as if his very presence disturbed the currents of magic woven into the wind.

Shadows clung a little more tightly to the ground near him, reacting instinctively to their master.

He didn't speak right away. The silence that followed Rakhsahsa II's words weighed heavy over the gathering, dense with unspoken tension.

Behind Arman, the Green Dragon soldiers stood taut and wary, claws twitching, wings half-unfurled, primed for violence if it came to that.

At last, Taufik broke the silence, his voice low and unreadable.

"You brought your army"

He stepped forward once, calm but unflinching. His gaze never left the massive Red Dragon.

"And you call me Savior... Yet you know damn well I'm the one who killed your father"

The words lingered in the air like smoke after a fireball.

"I thought you came here to avenge him. But this...?" Taufik gestured subtly toward the gathered legion of red-scaled dragons. "This is a strange way to show gratitude"

"I am well aware of that fact, sir," Rakhsahsa II rumbled, his voice carrying the weight of conviction. "But I hold no grudge. I know what my predecessor did was wrong; his pride and his actions nearly led our kind to ruin. Yet you… You gave me the chance to begin again. You gave the Red Dragons a future when we had none. For that alone, I am deeply grateful"

His massive form lowered slightly, a gesture of humility no dragon gave lightly.

"And so, when I sensed your return, I dared to come here, knowing the risks, knowing I might not walk away, just to be able to mee-"

"Wait," Taufik interrupted, raising a hand.

The wind seemed to still be at his command. Even the shadows paused.

"Before you continue, let me ask you one question. Depending on your answer…" His voice grew colder, sharper. "I'll decide whether I'm willing to talk... Or if I should end this here"

"Yes, sir," Rakhsahsa II replied, his voice steady but respectful. "Please ask. I will answer any question you wish to know"

Taufik's gaze hardened, the shadows at his feet rippling like oil disturbed by an unseen wind. His eyes locked with the young king's, and for a moment, even the Green Dragon soldiers seemed to hold their breath.

"Simple," Taufik began, his tone quiet... Dangerously quiet.

"Are the Red Dragons… Still associated with demons?"

The question struck like thunder, its weight more dangerous than any sword or spell. The wind howled briefly through the canyon, then died, as if the world itself waited for the answer.

Rakhsahsa II didn't answer immediately. His wings shifted slightly, scales rustling like the whisper of distant flames.

His golden eyes met Taufik's once more, not with defiance, but with solemn clarity. He didn't flinch. Instead, he held Taufik's gaze with quiet resolve.

"No, sir," he said firmly. "That practice ended with my father. I severed all ties with the Demons the moment I took the throne. And I assure you, it will never happen again"

His voice echoed across the stone, not with the arrogance of a dragon, but with the weight of a king who bore the burden of past sins.

Behind him, his troops remained still... Silent confirmation that their loyalty now lay on a different path.

For a moment, Taufik said nothing. He simply watched the young Red Dragon King, eyes narrowed, searching. Then, slowly, the oppressive weight in the air began to lift.

The shadows stilled. The tension cracked like ice under sunlight.

"...Good," Taufik finally said, his tone unreadable. "Then speak, Rakhsahsa II. I'm listening"

--------

Inside the chamber, five figures sat around a stone-carved round table.

Taufik sat at the head, flanked by Akh'sha, and Aksara, his son, alert and quietly watching. Arman, the Green Dragon King, while Rakhsahsa II, now in human form, sat upright, his fiery red eyes betraying just how serious this moment was to him.

Taufik leaned back slightly, fingers steepled.

"...So, what's the thing you wanted to say to me?" He asked, voice calm but layered with quiet authority.

Rakhsahsa II nodded once, not wasting a breath.

"...I'll get straight to the point, sir," He began. "If possible, I speak here on behalf of all Red Dragons. We would like to participate, fully and willingly in whatever it is you're currently planning"

There was no arrogance in his tone, only conviction. The room fell silent again, the weight of his words sinking in.

Even Aksara raised an eyebrow.

Taufik's eyes narrowed, the faintest hint of a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

"Hmm? Do you know what I'm about to do?" He asked, voice low, testing.

Rakhsahsa II shook his head, not in shame, but with unshaken resolve.

"...I don't know, sir. But I can feel it. The world, the world it's changing. The balance is shifting. And I don't want the Red Dragons to be left behind again"

He placed a hand over his chest, his voice steady and clear.

"I brought my Legion here to show you that we still hold power. Maybe not like the old Red Dragons… But we are ready to rise again. To evolve, to be more than relics of war"

He looked Taufik in the eye, unwavering.

"I will prove that we can still be something more. So please, sir... Whatever your plan is... Include the Red Dragons. We will follow"

The chamber fell silent again, but this time it wasn't tension that filled the air... It was a possibility.

"Pfft~"

Taufik suddenly let out a short, amused breath before breaking into a low chuckle.

"Ahaha… Interesting. Very interesting"

All eyes turned toward him as the atmosphere shifted,

lighter on the surface, but with something far darker pulsing underneath.

"So, you're saying you'll follow every plan I have in hand?" Taufik leaned forward slightly, his gaze locking onto Rakhsahsa II like a blade being drawn.

"Even if that plan…" His voice dropped to a near-whisper, laced with quiet danger, "... Is to go against not just a god… But a being above that?"

The silence that followed was suffocating. Even the light in the room seemed to flicker lower as if recoiling from the weight of those words.

Rakhsahsa II didn't flinch. He didn't hesitate.

"Yes," He said, firm and unwavering. "I will, sir"

His voice rang clear in the chamber, echoing not just as a statement, but as a vow. No dramatics, no elaborate speeches, just pure, unshakable resolve.

Even Arman raised an eyebrow, surprised by the weight behind the young king's words. Aksara narrowed his eyes, watching closely. Akh'sha remained silent, but his fingers tensed slightly against the table's edge.

Taufik leaned back slowly, his expression unreadable. A flicker of a smile touched his lips, but his eyes remained cold, unwavering.

"Good," He said, his tone soft yet sharp like a blade wrapped in silk. "Because if you lie… There won't be a second chance"

The weight of that threat hung in the air like a drawn sword.

Then, after a brief pause, he added with finality, "You can go back now. After I finish here, I'll come to the Inferno Continent myself"

Rakhsahsa II rose from his seat, bowing his head with respect, relief, and determination, glinting behind his eyes.

"Thank you, sir!" He said, voice firm and grateful.

With that, the young Red Dragon King turned, his cloak sweeping behind him like a banner, and made his way out of the chamber, the echo of his footsteps marking the end of a historic request.
