Chapter 348: Chapter 348: The Dawn of a New Day

The morning light filtered through the heavy velvet curtains of the master suite, casting a golden glow over the massive bed. Ethan stirred, feeling the warmth of several bodies pressed against him. To his left, Cassandra lay deep in sleep, her porcelain skin glowing in the dim light. To his right, Sarah Bennet was curled into his side, her breathing rhythmic and peaceful. Draped across his legs, Lena rested with the exhaustion of someone who had fought a war and won.

Ethan moved to get up, but a chorus of soft, sleepy moans of protest echoed through the room.

"Stay... just a little longer" said Sarah, her voice thick with sleep as she reached out to pull his arm back.

"I have to go. The men are waiting" said Ethan.

The night had been particularly intense. Ever since the attack, the women had become remarkably bold and compliant. Ethan’s frequent absences and the constant shadow of death looming over their world had pushed them to throw the old rules out the window. They had tossed the "shifts" and schedules into the trash; now, the nights were a celebration of life.

What started as trios had evolved into quartets, and eventually, into full-blown orgies where every woman in Ethan’s inner circle was welcome. Lena and Sara Miller, the energetic manager of his late father’s company, were usually the most voracious. Sarah Bennet, who had been shy and reserved since their childhood days, had undergone the most significant transformation, becoming incredibly open to new experiences. By the time the sun began to rise, they had all been pushed to the brink of exhaustion, collapsing into a heap of tangled limbs and silk sheets.

Ethan gently disentangled himself from the pile, planting a soft kiss on Lena’s forehead as she murmured another protest. He dressed quickly, his movements sharp and efficient.

At exactly 6:55 AM, the plaza in front of the main headquarters was filled with the 150 men Ethan had summoned. The atmosphere was vastly different from the night before. The joy of the miracle healing was still there, but it was tempered by a growing sense of discipline.

Ethan stepped out onto the balcony, overlooking the crowd. His eyes immediately scanned the ranks until they landed on a specific figure in the front row.

It was Ryan Mitchell.

He looked nothing like the broken clerk from the day before. He was wearing the charcoal-black suit Ethan had gifted him, tailored so perfectly it made him look like a high-level executive or a lethal bodyguard. Despite the bruises on his face and the small bandage on his forehead, his posture was straight as an arrow. Beside the SUV he had arrived in, his wife stood briefly before being ushered to a safe area by the female staff; she looked at Ryan with a mixture of pride and awe.

Ryan’s eyes met Ethan’s. There was no more hesitation in them, no more "mediocrity." There was only a cold, unwavering loyalty—the look of a man who had been to hell, found his reason to live, and was now ready to kill for the person who gave it back to him.

"It seems everyone is on time" said Ethan, his voice carrying over the silent assembly.

"Reporting as ordered, Boss!" said Ryan, his voice the loudest among them, snapping into a sharp salute that the others quickly followed.

Ethan leaned against the railing, a predatory smile forming on his lips as he looked at his "miracle" squad.

"Good. Last night, you were treated like family. Today, you start learning how to protect that family. You think you’re strong because you can walk again? You’re wrong. You’re still weak. But by the time I’m done with you, the world will tremble when it hears your footsteps" said Ethan.

After giving them a few moments to process the information, Ethan continued his speech.

"Two weeks ago, the world decided we were an easy target" said Ethan.

His voice, amplified by the acoustics of the plaza, was cold and resonant.

"Our homes were violated. Our territory was drenched in blood. We lost hundreds—brave brothers and sisters who died protecting the innocent while the world watched, thinking they could trample us without mercy whenever they pleased. They think we are weak. They think we are just another organization destined to crumble" said Ethan.

A low, angry murmur rippled through the crowd. Ethan’s eyes flashed with a predatory light as he leaned over the railing.

"But they made a mistake. They left you alive. You were chosen for your loyalty, your valor, and your refusal to break when the bullets started flying. From this moment on, everything changes. You will understand soon enough. Jason!" said Ethan.

Jason stepped forward, clutching a stack of files.

"When you hear your name, form a line in front of me! Move!" said Jason.

Names were called out in rapid succession. The crowd began to shift, splitting into three distinct groups. No explanations were given; the men simply followed orders, glancing at one another with questioning looks. Once the movement ceased, Jason turned back toward the balcony.

"Everything is ready, sir" said Jason.

"Excellent. You must be wondering why I brought you here at such an hour. You have been divided into three branches of my new inner circle. Group A is our Security Division—the shield that will never crack. Group B is our Administration—the brains that will manage our expansion. And Group C is our Negotiators—the face of Royal, the ones who will secure our deals and command our public image" said Ethan.

He paused, letting the weight of the titles sink in.

"Your specific responsibilities will be briefed by the end of the day. But that doesn’t explain the 7:00 AM start, does it? To your left, you will find black tactical bags. Take one, head to the changing rooms, put on what’s inside, and return here immediately" said Ethan.

The men moved to the bags. As Ryan Mitchell reached down to pick his up, he let out a grunt of surprise. The bag was incredibly heavy, far more than its size suggested. He hurried to the changing area, unzipping the bag to find a slate-gray athletic uniform, reminiscent of an elite military academy. The "Royal" logo was embossed on the chest, with his own name neatly embroidered above it.
