The Commanders and the Captains of each group defending the front lines filled the conference halls of the Cygni Coalition to the brim.

Everyone was understandably alerted by the inexplicable cracks that had suddenly appeared in the sky not long ago, making them extra cautious and unable to proceed with their initial plans.

That said, an emergency meeting was called.

Those who couldn't attend in person were present through the live streaming of the conference.

Even Tristan had been invited, so he could share any information the Central Government had gathered during the past few days.

"I'm sure all of you know why we are gathered here today," Douglas said. "An unexpected event had caught all of us in confusion, and until now, we have no solid idea as to what this signifies.

"Because of this, I have invited Sir Tristan to give us some information they had gathered during these past few days."

Tristan felt countless eyes looking in his direction, but since he had already expected this to happen, he didn't hesitate to share the information that their team had gathered during their investigation.

He also planned on telling them Zion's theory of what was happening.

The Central Government's role was to protect humanity, not the benefit of any faction.

Because of this, they wouldn't hesitate to share vital information, especially when the Cygni Continent was already under a state of emergency.

"On the night when the cracks in the sky appeared, our satellites detected an unusual number of energy fluctuations all over the continent," Tristan explained.

"We have tried to send drones to investigate a few of these places, but they were shot down from the sky before they could get near their destination. As such, we decided to ask Zion Leventis' group, which is currently headed east, to perform their own investigations."

"What?!" Douglas wasn't able to hold back his shock, as Zion was a very important strategic asset to the defense of the Cygni Continent.

Being outside and taking a field trip during this chaotic time was obviously dangerous, and they couldn't afford to risk the young man's life.

"How can you let him go to dangerous places?!" Douglas asked. "Please, order him to return to Casimir City. We need Zion to win this war."

The current strategist of the Cygni Coalition was none other than the second-in-command of the Dvalinn Federation, Renz Elrod.

Although everyone recognized his skills, Zion's performance during the liberation of the Rigel Continent had raised the teenage boy to the top ranks of the best strategists in the world.

Even Renz recognized Zion's ability and had become his secret subordinate.

"I understand your concern," Tristan replied. "In fact, I also told him that it would be very dangerous for his people to be outside at this point in time. However, do you know what he told me?

"He said that he needed to go because it was dangerous. Someone needs to investigate, while some need to stay behind. I already dispatched the Valkyries as reinforcements to his group.

"Also, I sent someone who will take him away by force if he were to truly face a dangerous situation. Worry not. As long as he doesn't face a Rank 8 or Rank 9 Sovereign in the field, he will be able to escape with the help of my subordinate."

Of course, Tristan was referring to Rocky.

He needed to assure everyone that Zion was safe, so he needed an excuse to justify allowing the teenage boy to continue his field work without making the leaders of the continent anxious.

Just as he expected, Douglas calmed down a bit after hearing Tristan's arrangements.

As long as Zion would be able to escape any danger, even if he was missing an arm or leg, Douglas would still welcome him with open arms.

After the issue with Zion's safety had been cleared up, Tristan continued his explanation.

"Since we are on the topic, Zion did tell me of his theory about the crack in the sky, as well as the energy fluctuations we detected."

Tristan paused for a bit before tapping his communicator.

A moment later, a projection appeared in front of everyone.

"Good day, everyone," Thirteen said with a smile. "I apologize in advance for not being able to personally participate in the conference. But thanks to Sir Tristan's invitation, I decided to share what I know about our current situation."

The teenage boy casually took a glass of water from his table and took a sip before continuing his explanation.

"First, I will tell you about the cracks in the sky," Thirteen said. "Take note that I cannot confirm whether this information is true or not. However, Laplace Demon had come to see me the other day to give me a heads up on what was happening."

Gasps spread inside the conference room as Thirteen threw a bomb at everyone's faces. In fact, even Tristan was shaken, making his arm shake a bit due to the unexpected revelation.

As if wanting to rub it to everyone's faces, Thirteen decided to toot his own horn one more time.

"Yes, Laplace Demon and I are acquaintances. He visits me from time to time to ask for advice."

Everyone in the conference room was close to flipping their tables. For all of them, the right-hand man of The One was a being whom no one could meet even if they were the most influential individual in Pangea.

And yet, this powerful being would often meet up with Zion to ask for advice.

Just what kind of relationship was this?!

Douglas stared at Zion with a heated gaze, actively trying to recall all the names of his great-granddaughters who were of the same age as the latter.

He wanted to drag the teenage boy to his family so badly that he was willing to even offer up all his granddaughters to him as concubines if he would have them!

"Well, then. Since I have limited time, I'll stick to the topic for now," Thirteen stated. "We now see the cracks in the sky because the barrier of Pangea is weakening. This barrier is what shields us from the invasion of hostile forces beyond the stars.

"The homeworld of the Jinn, Gomorra, is one of these hostile forces who wish to annex our world and make it their own. Thanks to the barrier, they are at least prevented from sending Majin Princes and above to our world, which would lead to our instant defeat if that were to happen."

A pin drop silence descended inside the room as everyone tried to digest the information that Thirteen had spoken.

"At night, we don't see any stars in the sky, right?" Thirteen asked. "Only the moon serves as the celestial body that watches over Pangea. However, the moment the sky cracked and a piece of it fell, the stars that were not visible in the past are now visible to us.

"You can think of the barrier as the shell of an egg. Now, that shell has cracked, no matter how small that crack is, outsiders now have something to exploit."

"When the cracks appeared, the influences of these hostile forces had managed to infiltrate our world. This caused the energy fluctuations that the Central Government had detected a few days ago.

"Unfortunately, those fluctuations are bad news. Right now, it's highly likely that some Tier-6 and Tier-7 gates have mutated. Surely, you already know the implications of these changes, right?"

The leaders of the Cygni Coalition all had grim expressions on their faces.

Mutations of Tier-6 and Tier-7 Gates were no joke.

That meant that there was a possibility that Rank 8 Sovereigns would appear, or have already appeared, within the Cygni Continent.
